Five questions from [personal profile] yarnofariadne

1. Is there a game you've played that you wish had a sequel? Which one?

I’ve mentioned it before but Eternal Darkness. It’s a game for the GameCube, one of the first ones I got and it has such an interesting premise. You play as various characters throughout history, who are impacted by an ancient evil. As such each section is wildly different in both setting and style, which I remember being fun.

However the most memorable thing about it was the insanity system. As you encountered enemies it would take its toll on the characters (as the enemies are largely eldritch entities) and this would increase your insanity. This would cause various things to happen in game. Sometimes you’d see things that weren’t there, or a fly across the screen…. Or an error screen saying you’d lost your save.

I’d love there to be a sequel, or even a remaster! But it seems unlikely as the studio is long since gone. But the insanity thing is such a cool idea.

Also there’s Hotel Dusk, which was a game on the DS and used both screens to their fullest as you investigated a hotel. This at least did have a sequel, but again, the studio is gone so it’s unlikely to get a thing else.

2. What's your favourite horror movie?

Again, I’m sure I’ve said this before, but it’s Trick R Treat. It’s a film I watch every year on Halloween and it’s the perfect example of an anthology film done right. The segments are all set in the same town, which means they all weave together.

It’s not the scariest or most gory of films, but I still love it so much. And if you love Halloween and you’ve not seen it you definitely should.

3. Do you have any songs or even a playlist you like to listen to on rainy days?

Not really, I mostly like to just lay back and listen to the rain, especially when it’s heavy. It’s nice just to do that but we haven’t had a proper storm for awhile.

4. If you could visit any 5 cities in the world and money was no object, which would you choose?

Of all the questions this was the hardest and I’ve had it milling in my head awhile and still don’t fully have an answer. I thought that something obvious would come to mind if I thought on it, but alas.

I’d like to go to Tokyo, because I’ve always wanted to visit Japan and that seems like a good place to visit (even though it’d be crowded and might be overwhelming).

The rest are gonna be more general places than cities. I’d like to go to Australia, but not for myself, but to take mum. It’s always been her dream to go there and I’d like to take her to go and see the koalas and such.

I’d like to see the Amazon, I think it’d be amazing to see the jungle even though it’d be overwhelming in terms of heat.

And in a similar vein I’d also like to go somewhere like Chichén Itzá, I think it’d be interesting to see.

And I wanna go somewhere to see the aurora. I know there’s places in good spots, but I’m not sure where they are.

So yeah that’s not an interesting response, mostly because I’m sure there’s something more specific that escapes my brain. I know I’ve watched tv shows and thought ‘I want to go there!’ And I know now I’ve done this one will come to mind in minutes

5. If you could have any animal for a household pet aside from typical ones, which would you choose?

I’m gonna answer in two ways. First are non typical animals that are pets and that’s axolotls (I love their lil smiley faces!) and sugar gliders (which are so cute and smol). Or crabs! They’re not as unusual but I like their claws

But then if it was any animal ever I’d say a capybara because they’re so chill and bats (though I’d not want the bats as pets, just… have them somewhere so they have a safe roosting place.)

Let me know in a comment if you want some, though I can’t promise they’ll be good

***

My mood the last few days has been very… changeable. It’s very annoying and very exhausting but the mood seems okish now so I’m not gonna get into it now. (Not that there’s anything specific to get into because it’s just depression being depression)

Over the past few days I’ve seen two films.

The first was Elevator Game on shudder. I didn't go in expecting much and that’s what I got. It’s an ok horror film, though it feels like it doesn’t do enough with some of its concepts so it makes it largely forgettable (though the cast do give it a good try).

Second was the new Haunted Mansion, which was was fun for the most part, though it did feel a little overlong (especially with one section that felt like a fetch quest). But still it was good and again, the cast did a good job and had good chemistry.

After an announcement trailer last week, the Animal Crossing lego sets got revealed today. I think that they largely look cute, though I think it’s strange how sets only have a max of two villagers. It feels like the bigger ones definitely should have at least one more. I love that Julian is in the cheapest of the sets so I can get him easily, but it’s also sad that it’s a birthday set and he’s all alone. I’ll have to get another one so he has a friend. I fully expect there’ll be a second wave with KK and such later on.

Creativity has been strange. On Saturday I had three fics I was hoping to work on, but between then and now I have started to more which isn’t too helpful. Also mood has meant I’ve not done as much as I’d hoped which is also a nuisance. I might be able to finish one later, but we’ll see.

Today we were walking back with Naryu and I had a mailman come up to us with a package. I couldn’t think what it could be, but it turned out to be the tentacle kitty set I’d backed on kickstarter last year. The kitty and outfit is so cute, but I think the best thing is the huge mimic chest, which I think I’ll use for dice.

Tomorrow we should be making a trip out to Birmingham. I’m not really looking for anything specific, so it’s mostly a trip out really. (Though it seems my pod thing is awol again and I’ll have to look for it)

Also, uk people, the Interview With A Vampire show us coming to bbc 2 on Thursday so if anyone has been looking for that… (has anyone seen? Is it worth a look?)

Yesterday was meant to be a lazy day, but mums friend wanted something ordering so… I ended up being sent to town which was exhausting. The bridge into town is having roadworks on/around it, which means the bus (which I took cause mums friend had a day saver) went the long way.

(Said roadworks also means I can’t just walk to or from the cinema which, along with the late times, rules out seeing Venom)

I got some things from Iceland and home bargains (which mum sent me for), as well as hair dye (cause the lot I got last time went awol) and the Doctor Who chronicles that I couldn’t find anywhere else from Smiths (it’s pretty good and makes me wish season 20 was out already).

Talktalk have changed tac now and they’re sending a new router which… I mean at least it’s free? I hope it helps but it’ll be annoying having to have to redo all the logins on everything.

The rest of the night was tiring though Taskmaster was fun as always.

I ended up not being able to settle so watched Jawn’s stream… which went on till about 5ish so ugh.

I mean I’ve been exhausted, low energy and highly depressed anyway, but a late night didn’t help those things. Ah well.

I woke and found that Bullet are doing a signing for their new album in Birmingham, I’m not sure if I go, I’ll have to ponder. I went to a signing for the last one, Gravity, which was about three years ago now, the album actually gave me so many feels that year, because that’s the year everything went so wrong and the songs seem to capture that. I’ve got mixed things of the songs for the new one so far so I guess we’ll see. I guess it depends on timings.

The main thing today has been the new Animal Crossing update which… all the lead up stuff was focussed on it being about Brewster, but the length of the direct was meant to be 20 minutes so I doubted it would just be him.

There’s actually been a lot added to it (and I’ve likely missed some stuff)
*the roost and Brewster added to the museum, with an option to invite amiibo there (and Isabelle sometimes comes!)
*Kapp’n is back with mystery island visits
*Farming, with cooking diys
*Gyroids are back!
*Harv’s island is being made useful with the addition of a marketplace type thing, including Tortimer, Harriet and Katrina
*New items in the shop/nooks
*Huge storage expansion!

But there’s also a paid expansion too, which is essentially happy home designer 2
*Set on an archipelago
*Can design homes for villagers
*people from your island can have a holiday home
*new items on a shop
*Being able to design facilities (hospital, school, restaurant etc)
*The ability to take stuff you learn from there home
*being able to redesign villagers homes on your own island!

Apparently these are the last updates for it (at least the last free ones) which is a shame though I suspect there’s also gonna be some stuff they’ve not mentioned in there (I hope you can expand your home, add new villagers on your island and expand your island though I somehow doubt that). There’s also gonna be amiibo cards, which include new villagers (no word on if other special ones will show up too though it wouldn’t surprise me).

I’m so tired yet I can’t properly settle which is annoying, I might try and fic some in a bit, something I was gonna do last night, but we’ll see.

Halloween 2018 is on tonight but I doubt I’ll watch it because tiredness and I don’t think I’d be in the mood for it.

Next week is my birthday which, I’m semi looking forward to cause I know there’ll be some Lego and fics, but with the way my mood alphas been I’ll worry if depression related to it will hit me. I guess we’ll see.

Ok this post wasn’t as much two halves as I expected but ah well.

So yesterday was food shop day. It might be my last trip since the delivery slots are starting to come back. That’s something I’ll be glad off. While I am grateful for mum’s friend taking me, it’s exhausting (especially going so early) and it always seems to be so much more than a usual shop is. (Although yeah, this time I did get the last Spider-Man film so...). I also got my meds too.

Because of that yesterday I was mostly exhausted however there was good news! The Umbrella Academy season 2 has a date at last! Yay! July 31st. So it’s still awhile away, but hopefully there’ll be a trailer soon. It’s good timing since it means I can switch my fixation back to it. The video for the announcement was great though.

Other than that, I napped and there was a later delivery of tees (at 4 wtf?). I’ve ordered a few from qwertee the fast few weeks and this one was a Majora’s Mask one with a bonus tee (which was A Batman tee which... is ok).

Last night after watching the usual things I put on the next Who, which was The Hand Of Fear. It was a pretty good ep though there was some odd things. (Why did the the Doctor and Sarah Jane not react to the sirens as soon as they left the tardis?) still the concept was pretty sound and it’s amazing they filmed in an actual nuclear power plant. The last scene, of Sarah Jane leaving, was sad but not overly so. (And with the benefit of hindsight we know she meets the Doctor again and that he never forgets her).

I considered watching the special features, of the last Hollow ep (I watched one in the morning) but was too tired. Tonight I’m gonna watch the Elisabeth Sladen tribute and get feels for it.

It’s three weeks yesterday till my exam thing, so technically I should be revising but This morning was definitely nope. I did listen to an ep of The Magnus Archives which was a good one.

Thankfully yesterday Flick was there on AC which I’ve been hoping for every day for weeks causa all the bugs. Please let him be regular again. Today was Gulliver so I hope he gives me a nice thing.

This week I’m hoping to watch more films (I want to watch on on shudder, amazon or Netflix). There’s a thing called Blood Machines coming to shudder Which I’m curious about. I also want to actually read my book and whoa magazine. And I wanna watch some more Devs and Clone Wars. And game on the Xbox.

But for now, noms. And to curse the sun which has come out again. (And we have a leak, damnit)

Sunday was partly successful. I didn’t watch Resistance, but I did finish Clone Wars season 2 disc 2, so yay! Ironically it included the first Mandalore ep, ironic because a: The Mandalorian and b: the las Clone Wars eps are about the siege of Mandalore.

Also there was the start of Killing Eve (which is so bonkers at times, but the end! Nooo!), Batwoman (which I’m really enjoying and Trigonometry (which I think is close to finishing now but is so cute).

Sunday night my sleep was restless. I stayed downstairs causa the food shopping trip Monday morning and I just... couldn’t settle. That was annoying.

Monday I went, alone with mums friend, to be the shopping. I got pretty much everything I wanted (I didn’t get soap cause I couldn’t find it) and I got Rise of Skywalker (more later). Annoyingly the shop cost more than the last two. Why is it going up every time? I can’t wait for this to be over so I can get deliveries and know how much it’s gonna be. (I think this time it might be cause I got a few things to try but even so it seems excessive.)

After coming home and taking the pup out, mum decided to moan about the garage. I was tired, both due to poor sleep and being out so early so I had enough and went upstairs, spending the afternoon in bed. (Of course we heard nothing from my uncle, not that I’m surprised one bit.) I did come down for food but ugh, I was so annoyed.

(Which was annoying cause I slept and missed out on getting butterflies for Flick on AC, but I had ones in storage and made a ton of money so...)

After watching the usual stuff, including the Bone Collector on Sky witness (which is pretty good so far!) I ended up watching the Monterrey bay stream on twitch. They’re doing streams on Animal Crossing with other museum people and talking about the science stuff in the game and the museum exhibits. It’s really fascinating stuff.

After that I watched Ark In Space, along with all the accompanying special features. Ark In Space is definitely another solid episode of Doctor Who, it’s got an Alien vibe (despite being made a few years before) and I really do enjoy it o it was good to see it again. (Although there really could’ve been more diversity among the humans, the writer did intend it but alas it didn’t happen.) But there’s so many good moments, including the doctor’s speech about humans and Sarah Jane being awesome.

Speaking of Sarah Jane, did anyone see this which is a special mini Sarah Jane Adventures episode in tribute to her. It made me a little teary and Luke being married to a guy made me squee. (If you love Who and never watched a the Sarah Jane Adventures, please do, it really was an amazing series)

Also on Monday Elder Scrolls Online announced they’re doing a free thing for ESO plus this week. I’m gonna make use of the crafting bag and do some of the dlc dungeons while they’re free (they’re not worth buying and since a lot of people should be using them it’ll be good timing)

This morning I did some uni reading. It’s the last chapter of the last book, about bioengineering. First is about antibacterial stuff and then... I can’t remember what the other two things are.

After walking the pup we watched Rise Of Skywalker. I’m still not sure wha I think about it. I think it’s part due to missed opportunities (Finn didn’t kiss Poe and Leia, but then that one couldn’t be helped), along with things that just... came out of nowhere (Poe being a spice runner, Palpatine). There are a lot of good bits to it, especially C-3P0 and the galaxy fleet (though there could have been more).

CJ was around on Animal Crossing so I’ll be selling fish to him and making money, which is good cause info on the new update is live today. There’s gonna be Leif bringing bushes, a museum update and Redd bringing art as well as new events. I’m excited for them all! Hopefully Leif will be on the island when it goes live. (My shop is also being expanded so, yay!)

I’m gonna snuggle now and hopefully watch more Clone Wars tonight, as I really want to finish my full rewatch to get to the new eps. (And go on ESO and Gears 5). I’m hoping to work on the Waycest fic for fandom for oz but we’ll see if that works out. (I also have my eye on Chasm in the Xbox sale and Blind Men, which is a game that’s discounted and has two romanceable characters, both guys, as is the main character!)

Hope everyone is doing ok in quarantine. Stay safe.

Yesterday we went food shopping though it was almost a disaster. I’d told mum the time on Sunday, but clearly she hadn’t listened. I’d slept downstairs since we were going at 8, but mum didn’t wake me so we got a call from mums friend. That led to use both rushing to get out and heading there.

I’d heard that the queue a few days ago was all over the place but it was fairly short which was good. Vulnerable/elderly were in until 9 so I had to wait awhile but they still let us in early anyway. It was weird being there so early and the place so quiet, plus it was odd going in alone. I think I’d have gone crazy if I didn’t have my pod thing (playing 5 Seconds Of Summer). Thankfully it was pretty well stocked so I got toilet roll and even eggs! There were still some areas that were empty (rice, pasta, some frozen stuff) but on the whole I got 95% of what I went in for. Though it was odd, cause it cost more than the last one but... eh.

While I was in there mum went into pets at home and m and a and she got some eggs too thinking I’d not get any, os now we have more than enough. Expect egg based things to come.

I found out yesterday that Sandi Toksvig is doing this thing on youtube called Vox Tox and we watched the first yesterday. It’s about what happened on that day in history and it’s funny so I’m gonna watch that every night now.

Also yesterday I got Disney + from my boy. He set my name on there with the child as an icon which was sweet. I wasn’t gonna watch anything cause I was tired, but I put the old Robin Hood on for mum. We had it on vhs when I was a kid and I know it’s one of the ones mum liked.

I spent most of the day on and off Animal Crossing, cause CJ was there so I made money off fish. I paid off a good chunk of my house loan on it though it so that was useful. I also order the Animal Crossing guide. I wouldn’t usually but with everything being cancelled and being on lockdown....

Boris has been moved to intensive care. I don’t wish death on him even though he is a jerk, but I do hope after this it shows that the NHS should be properly funded and not get any cuts ever again. it wouldn’t surprise me if there weren’t changes that would make the country better in the long run coming from this crisis, if only they have the courage and compassion to actually do it. (Though with Tories I don’t expect either of those things.)

Last night I ended up finishing season 19 of Doctor Who with Time-Flight. Now I’d not watched it in awhile but I’ve heard that the story has a bad reputation. Honestly though, it’s not as bad as I expected. It’s a pretty good ep, despite some... odd things.

I’m glad the start covered a question I had after Earthshock, the fate of the people from the freighter that had escaped. The doctor picked them up and took them back to their time. Also the start had the grief over Adric, but that’s seemed to pass quickly. Good things were that it involved Concorde and it was amusing that they finally got to Heathrow... even though Tegan now was happy to stay. The main odd thing about it though was the master. Why was he disguised as Kalid? What was the point of that?

So that’s season 19 done. I’ll watch the time-flight special features tonight, then the special features disc. Next week I’ll be starting season 12.

After that I watched a Simpsons ep, one of the Halloween ones I’d not seen then I went to go zzz.

This morning I did some AC, then a little bit of uni. Apparently instead of an exam we’re gonna be sent an electronic version to do at home, complete with the same questions. We’ll see how that pans out.

I went to Home Bargains when we walked the pup and it was odd that they had a queue now. The times are strange. I only went in to get a few things, including cat food, but ended up spending more. Damnit. Ah well we should be stocked up for awhile now.

In the afternoon I watched Lilo and Stitch cause of my boy, and it was fun. I’ll have to watch the other Stitch films cause I’ve not seen them.

Now I’m gonna snuggle, watch Bake off, Inside Xbox, Time Flight special features and try and finish fic. (Watch as I don’t) This week I’m gonna try and read Black Spire and the Who magazine, as well as try and start the latest Dragon Prince season and watch more Clone Wars (and do Fallen Order).

Faceless

Apr. 2nd, 2020 11:00 am
shadowhive: (2nd + 3rd A dandy and a clown)
The last few days have been a bit... bleh. Especially yesterday, when my brain took a very sharp downward spiral. I just felt so low, feeling like I was annoying people, feeling isolated and just feeling so... low. The insecurities from a few years back came back and just... bleh

It seems to have faded now after a good nights sleep but... I dunno.

It’s not helped by two people trying to commit suicide and then one joking about it. I just felt so powerless, especially since I felt they were already growing distant and just... ugh.

Sigh.

Onto other things.

On Tuesday night I watched The Faceless Ones. It was pretty good and went along at a nice pace. One problem with some of the second doctor eps is because they were so long, they tended to drag. Even though Faceless ones was a six-parter I didn’t feel that way with it which was good. It was strange though that it was Ben and Polly’s last ep, but they were hardly in it. It kinda took away from their exit to hardly have them in it. But even so it was a good ep and I liked it.

My creativity is still low, though I’m still hoping to finish the short fic I started working on today. Maybe. We’ll see.

Last night I saw there were new Nailed it eps on Netflix so I started to watch them to cheer me up. I was gonna watch the last Who ep chosen for the lockdown but decided better of it because it’s not the happiest. (Even though I’ve not seen it in ages) also amusing was Feel Good last night. I swear that’s the most I’ve ever heard the word cum in a half hour.

I think I was tired last night because I didn’t have a doze in the afternoon as usual. Because I got a chicken for Naryu’s birthday (co-op now has some as well as veg and such) mum had the oven on so insisted I bake something. So I made some chocolate cookies with some of the chocolate I got from home bargains. They tasted pretty good, enough that mum suggested I do more sometime. We’ll see.

On Animal Crossing I have Lucky moved in at last which is one of my main goals. Also had KK invited so that’s good too. It’s annoying that bunny day includes eggs you get by fishing cause I can’t find any of the new fish because of them, damnit.

This morning I’ve actually looked at the group thing and I’ve done some to it, though I’m not sure I’ve done it right. The tutor said as long as I did something it’d be ok but I still think such a thing is folly.

Today’s plan is, as always, to go back on AC, to try and fic and, if it’s come, read the new Who magazine.
shadowhive: (4th Doctor Jelly Baby)
It’s strange how, even though we’re supposed to be on lockdown, just how many people are outside. I swear I’ve seen more people outside while we were walking the dog then we do in a week. There’s not just the usual dog walkers but people just walking or jogging (who runs for fun?!). It’s odd.

Speaking of the dog, it’s Naryu’s birthday tomorrow. I usually don’t remember animal birthdays but April fools day is a memorable date. She’s gonna be two. The little fuzz ball.

I’ve been listening to the new 5 seconds of summer album on Spotify lately and it’s really good, there’s quite a few songs on it that I love already and have been humming to myself.

Last night mum had a call from her library friend saying she had papers for us (to use for the guinea pig) and when mum picked them up today she’d also put in toilet paper which was nice of her since it’s nowhere. When mum rung to thank her she said she’d take us to get the shopping again, which is nice and is a weight off (literally since it means we won’t have to lug it all back).

On animal crossing my house has been expanded again and I’ve had Lucky on the campsite to invite him, but two of the plots I put down are being invaded by randoms, ugh. They were good places too. I might get rid of one cause I definitely don’t like her. I’ve been saving bugs on the beach for Flick to come so of course CJ comes today. I was unprepared with fish so I’ve been saving some today so I’ll be going on it multiple times to sell them.

His partner makes models of fish so I’ve given him football fish (which is really an angler fish) to make. The thing I love is that his partner is obviously Flick, which means we have a nintendo game (and one of the biggest ones) with a same sex couple! Woo!

I also got a tamborine on it today which made me think of Mikey.

My sleep patterns have been odd lately, I’ve drifted downstairs a few times and then headed up but being unable to sleep. It’s annoying, but it is what it is. I was gonna look into the group thing today but my sleep messed me up. The tutor says it doesn’t matter how much I do as long as it’s something so I might just do one article tomorrow. (It’s to do with reading articles and something?)

I have been ficcing but slowly. I started something a few days back intending it to be a quick short thing but it’s dragging. Hopefully my creativity will spark and I’ll get it finished soon.

The xbox magazine came yesterday and, apparently, it’ll be the last. Not that you’d tell by looking at it, it still had an ad for subscribers and a reference for the next issue, but twitter says it’s been shut down. It’s a shame really. But makes me glad I’m subscribed to the Who one now, which should be here tomorrow.

Last night I continued my Who run with Black Orchid. It’s an odd ep, partly because it’s only two parts (there were few two parts in old who, most were four or more) but also because there wasn’t any sci fi stuff in it other than the tardis crew. It’s basically a kind of murder mystery thing but it’s kinda unsatisfying. The end feels kinda rushed and it takes awhile at the start to get going and it feels... I dunno. The costumes are nice though and Sarah gets double duty as Nyssa and Ann and manages it pretty well. As the fifth doctor gets to play cricket. And awww Adric, stuffing his face most of the time but it’s cute. (And why let people into the tardis?)

Next one is Earthshock and I’m already sad cause I know how it ends. I dunno if I’ll speed through and watch it this week or if I’ll hold off on it till next week as planned. We’ll see.

I’ve got a load of tabs open of posts and fic I need to go through but alas. I’ll try later.

Now I’m gonna snuggle, ponder writing and, later, bake off. I’ll finish black orchid’s special features and, maybe, watch one of the other Who eps (day of the Doctor or Vincent and the Doctor, the two lockdown eps I’ve not rewatched yet). Or maybe I’ll watch the faceless ones. We’ll see.

So today was the last ep of Picard, so thoughts are ahoy.

First off, before I get into the thoughts, I definitely need a Picard based icon. I’ve wanted one but wanted to wait till the end. I’m also not sure who I’d want an icon of. Seven? Rios? Elnor? One of the Rios holos? Ahhhh I can’t decide! If anyone has good pics or icons I’d be grateful! (I’ll have to load up the laptop to make them)

Anyway, onto spoiler thoughts under the cut.

On Animal Crossing thoughts I now have resident services as a building. I’ve got the campsite and a ramp placed And unlocked lots more crafting recipes. I’ve placed a fountain, outdoor bath and a well (which has definite Ring vibes!). Mabel Was also on the new square so I’ve bought everything go from her in hopes she’ll ask for the shop soon. All in all a productive day

I also got mail this morning, so the reissues of a Doctor Who the collection season 12, yay! I might speed up my watch of 19 so I can start it. (Also Who, I watched Rose last night and it was pretty good. I’d not seen it in ages so it was good to look back)

I’m gonna snug and watch the usual stuff (and celebrity murder mystery) And then load up the xbox to game or watch day of the Doctor.

Hope everyone’s doing oki. I have a few posts in tabs to read soon.

Yesterday was a pretty nice day. It was sunny so we ended up spending some time in the garden, first giving it Naryu a trim and then planting some seeds from the seed kit I got a few weeks back. We’ll see if anything comes of them, I’m notoriously bad at plants much to my annoyance.

This crisis is really showing who actually cares for people and who care more about money. I’m glad that, here at least, there’s backlashes against much of the latter whenever it turns out companies are not paying sick pay and stuff like that. It’s impressive how many good things are happening to. People are organising things to keep kids entertaining and channel 4 has even got a new thing with Jamie Oliver showing what you can make. I don’t like him much usually but it’s good idea, so credit where it’s due.

There was even a short message from Jodie as the doctor which was so sweet. It’s here

Yesterday when we walked the pup we saw a number of rainbow posters in windows, with words like be kind under them. I dunno where that came from but it’s clear a number of kids have done them and it’s sweet.

Last night I got my assessment results back and it’s 76 which is.... better than I was expecting. I figured it’d be much less then that so... yay?

I have all the fruit on animal crossing which is good. Also the resident services tent is being upgraded so I’ll have Isabelle tomorrow, yay! Also my house has been upgraded again.

I planned to watch Day Of The Doctor last night, coming in late to Saturday’s group rewatch. However I put the first disc in, intending to just watch night of the Doctor but I watched name of the doctor as well. Instantly it made me miss Jenny, Vastra and Strax. I wish we’d gotten a series with them. I don’t get why there wasn’t.

By the time I watched both of them I felt too tired so I never watched Day like I planned damnit I’m so bad at watching stuff.

I’m considering getting one of the deals with gold on Xbox, resident Evil 2, Greedfall and The Sinking City are on offer and i have some xbox credit (and enough points) to get a further discount. But which do I get? And is it even worth getting any of them since I’m notoriously bad at gaming and finishing games? I dunno. Has anyone played them?

Plan for the day is more Animal Crossing, watching the usual tv (there’s a few new things on too, like a thing on pick after elementary and brooklyn 99) and maybe gaming some on the xbox.

I might try and write too but my creativity has been off lately with everything so....

Did anyone ever expect we’d get... this in our lifetime? These are strange days and it’s so... weird.

The local Nisa and co-op are both cleared out of the following: fresh fruit and veg, frozen veg, milk and dairy stuff, fish and meat. I’ve never seen the shelves at either so empty. Though mum got a ridiculous op bag of potatoes from Nisa which was... way too much,

We usually get a sainsburys shop today delivered but there’s no slots open in the three weeks. Obviously that’s not... ideal. We’ve been to home bargains today and, thankfully, they had milk and cheese and a few other things. We’re going to sainsburys in the morning to see what we can get. I usually wouldn’t, it’s quite far to walk and I’d rather just isolate as best we can, but I need to pick up my meds from the boots next to it so... there’s no option.

Mum thought about going today but so hanged her mind before bed last night so this morning I just.... kinda shut down? After briefly going on Animal Crossing and I just.... zoned out,

All this means I’m not doing uni reading until Wednesday, I don’t think they’ve decided what’s happening with the assessment but I think... I’d not be surprised if it got changed drastically. Everyone is panicking and a few are talking about deferring so..l I’d not be surprised if it was changed, we’ll see,

Not helpful is British Gas wants to be contacted but there’s no email and just.... ugh.

Hopefully after all this we’ll get legislation protecting and rewarding front line workers, the nhs properly funded and universal basic income. That is if we make it through.

This weekend has been... well odd. Tiring causa stress creeping back. However I’ve had the best nights sleep since getting animal crossing, which is good. Saturday we watched mrs brown’s boys cause Barrowman was on and he was funny. People were doing a watch along with an old Eurovision so I watched it later. I didn’t watch for all the voting so I just went to bed then. It’s odd watching it with no commentary.

I had to make mum a Mother’s Day card causa everything is I used my new pens to make it, it’s got Lao the pets on the front though I’m not great at arting.

On Animal Crossing the museum is done and I already have one fossil complete, a sabre tooth tiger, I have one villager moved in (I invited three from the nook miles islands, though oddly it was the second one that I invited that came in first). And I’ve been around people’s islands. I’ve got most fruits planted now, I just need oranges. Like I’ve said, I’m so glad it’s came now cause it’s really helping everyone.

I’m gonna go back on Animal Crossing in a bit, then tonight continue with my Who run with The Visitation.

I hope everyone is doing ok and staying safe.

We ended up watching Logan last night, it wasn’t quite as grim as I expected so it was pretty good. Though of course it was one of those things left with all kinds of unanswered questions.

I considered watching the film on after it, but I ended up dozing. I slept downstairs last night cause of the delivery coming and I wasn’t sure if it was coming via post or courier (and thus needed a signature). My sleep was just as restless as it’s been for the past days and I ended up turning on the tv about 7 and watching Phineas and Ferb on a Disney Xd.

I decided that the best thing to do was watch Picard in the morning, so once mum was settled I put it on.

Animal Crossing did arrive, along with my amiibo cards, so I’ve been playing on it a lot. I’ve got two good villagers, Canberrra and Poncho, who are adorable (and a koala and bear respectively). I’ve posted about my adventures here. I’ve got the museum in place and first house payment done do that’ll be ready in the morning. Other than that I’ve also got an ocarina, upgraded my inventory and shot down balloons.

I’m ready to lose myself in it more, though I’m not a fan of the tools breaking.

I’m gonna watch tonight’s film on horror channel too, though I don’t recall what it is.
