Close to the end of the AMA posts now with two questions left it’s from [personal profile] sourgreen (here’s the post if you wanna ask anything)

what is your favourite fruits? (like top 5 maybe)

There’s a saying that came to mind when I saw this today about the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

So in that sense there’s two ways of answering.

The knowledge way has peppers, tomato’s avocado and cucumber as favs, all of which I enjoy having in stuff like salads and sushi (and stuffed peppers too, but not the green ones green ones are bitter and bleh).

The wisdom ones are grapes (unironically), bananas, mangos, peaches and pineapple. Which are all nice. I do like most fruits in general (though I’m not a fan of oranges). I also like lime flavoured things but limes aren’t good things to eat alone like those things are. Also I don’t care pineapple on pizza is great!

I’m absolutely sure I’m forgetting an obvious things, as always with these things (I thought of some things for the food one after posting it for example)

Funnily I went on Microsoft rewards this morning and the poll was what’s your favourite fruit between mango and banana. I went with mango.

The past few days I’ve felt kinda eh which has been a mix of low energy (in part, I think from my head being chaotic Sunday) but also it’s been mentally low too (culminating in yesterday when my mindset crashed). I’m not sure if it’s a general depression/anxiety thing (though it feels like anxiety) but my eyes have been achy so it might be something else too. I did feel woozy this morning too so I am wondering if it’s some sort of sickness but I’m not sure.

Bleh.

Because of the aforementioned eyes aching I did put on the last the war Doctor audio on bbc sounds The Enigma Dimension. I did relate to Leela feeling (seemingly random) sadness though I don’t thing they used her too well in these stories. (Which I don’t think was helped by her being not herself in both). It’s also a bit sad because it’s the last one John Hurt did before he passed which is a shame. It was a good enough ep but I dunno. I think an issue with the war Doctor stuff is that they’re pretty depressing but not only that there’s the daleks constantly doing all these evil insane things during the war which are only barely stopped by the Doctor and time lords… so why haven’t the post time war daleks done this stuff? (And also the war doctor doesn’t want to be called doctor but he doesn’t provide an alternate name so people just call him it anyway)

A few days ago I saw Seapeekay mention playing marvel snap and enjoying it so I decided to try it and… it is, damnit. It’s actually quite good and I’ve been on it a fair bit these past days. Damnit

Magic arena had a new update with the new set and I had luck with the first of the free packs giving me a planeswalker. Unfortunately it’s Chandra, who is red and the rest of the packs I’ve had seem to be hardly giving me red stuff (or white for the Elspeth planeswalker I got too). Maybe I’ll do another draft to attempt to get a red/white deck (I’m kinda kicking myself not getting the red praetor in the other one I did). Maybe I’ll do that later

Qsmp has been cute and wild, Quackity decided to start a school for the eggs which felt like it would be nefarious but ended up being sweet with little tallulah and eggs doing adorable art. (I think whatever grief based revenge he was planning is gonna die) And then Wilbur went live yesterday at 2am which I missed so watched the vod this morning and awww Tallulah is the cutest bundle of sunshine and her little flute and awww! And of course Quackity comes and bes both a menace and horny. And Roier being so sweet.

But damn Quackity coming up with those eggs has been just a genius idea because everyone is so so attached (perhaps to an unhealthy degree) which is so sweet. I suspect they might be kept in the server longer than planned. But I guess we’ll see because there’s definitely something strange having too.

The las Nevadas merch is also finally on the way though tracking stopped a week ago in London (why would it need to take an internal flight instead of being driven?)

Again as mentioned above yesterday my mindset went weird all day and odd which was so annoying. Though there were some good things.

The Mandalorian finale was yesterday and after all the theorising and assuming something bad/heartbreaking would happen it was actually a great episode, resolving a bunch of things and also setting out how next season will go.

I also finally started Resident Evil 4 (deciding to do it instead of waiting to finished Resident Evil 2). The villain Leon outfit is so hot (and has glowy red eyes!) and I managed over two sessions (in the afternoon and night) to get to the end of chapter one and finding Luis gagged. Also it has a photo mode which’ll be useful for getting screencaps as long as I rememebr it (which I haven’t at times Oop).. so expect a Leon or Luis icon soon.

There was alsoIndie world showing off some new upcoming indie games for the switch, most of which sound interesting. I think the one I’ll definitely get is Oxenfree 2 (I remember enjoying the first one) while other ones I want more info on. Also cult of the lamb’s new update goes leave next week! Woo! I need to get back on it. here’s the full announcement list

Today my mindset seems a little better but as mentioned I feels woozy (and my stomach feels funny) so I hope lunch will help settle it but if not? I dunno.

Zelda is in three weeks now and I’ve not done anything to any of the three things I wanna do before it comes out: finish reading Lesser Known Monsters, do more/finish Pokémon Biolet (which I’ve not been back on in so long Oop) and finish fic (which even looked at in a few days annoyingly). I wanna get all three done by then but hopefully I can do at least one before Zelda takes over my focus.
shadowhive: (Awsten Rainbow boy)
Last night I didn’t do too much, I just watched stuff and then did a little gaming and my eyes went funny which meant I went up early.

I did finish Why Didn’t They Ask Evans which was a bit… I dunno. I think it took too long for it to get anywhere and it just didn’t feel too satisfying. But then again maybe the source material wasn’t either? In which case then it was a pretty good adaption.

I also listened to the who audios that was on bbc sounds (good job too there’s under a week of it being on there) and it was pretty good. It was nice to hear Leela again, even though she was so damaged. I know she’s in the other one I need to listen to too which I will soon,

(I also did some Resident Evil Mercenaries and unlocked Luis, and did Forza earlier which looks pretty though I’m still bad at racing)

There was a code from Spotify for the new Waterparks tour which I might not go to (unless it doesn’t sell out and the album turns out to be good) but it amused me the code was Gawsten, like why make it one of the band ship names?

Today was gonna be a rest day, but I saw on twitter that someone saw some of the new micro galaxy squadron stuff in Morrisons, and with money off too! Since mum was going to town with her library colleague this morning I decided to tag along just in case, not expecting to see anything…

However! They had some! They had the series 1 blind boxes reduced (sadly it was 2 AT-RT’s which I I already had but there was a speeder bike!), plus two series two ships. One was a snowspeeder which I wasn’t gonna get but is pretty cool (it even has a tow cable which I didn’t expect!) but the other was the one I had been hoping for, Bo-Katan’s starfighter! It’s so cool and rotates and is just so awesome. Though I suspect they will end up redoing it to make it bigger and add some features. But I’m so glad they had it!

Also from there I got some Easter stuff (the only place I’ve seen some), the new Lego explorers magazine and a Hairy Bikers vegetarian book which was reduced and has some nice sounding things. (Alas between them and other things I vastly overspent, boo but some of that was mum’s birthday stuff.) We had to stop off on the way back for mums friend to get something from sainsburys so I popped in and they had series 2 blind boxes reduced too so I got some and there was great pulls, with the mandalorian and a STAP! Plus mum got me the Marple book cause I pointed it out. (It was my first time seeing it and I wasn’t gonna get it but she was insistent

When we got back I watched The Mandalorian which was a mix of AHHH and imperials are bastards.

I then popped to put money on the gas card, cause we ran out when a storm came the other night. Alas the nearest payment site (a Nisa just up the road) is now… not a Payzone site suddenly. The nearest one instead is down near the train station which is an absurd place for it to be. It was too far to go today, especially because of the storm coming back, but I’ll try tomorrow. Of course Payzone don’t have a proper contact form to complain, because that’s just ridiculous nonsense.

(Of course it did rain again but now it’s suddenly gone sunny which is too late)

The rest of tonight I’m just gonna bundle up and rest then watch the qsmp tonight. And hopefully do some other things.
shadowhive: (The Child Soup)
So today’s AMA is, again, from [personal profile] turps. I had marked it down as being for the second but as I was tired (and it was for any day) I moved it here instead. So the question is this

Do you have an all time favourite film you could watch over and over?

I’m sure people will probably expect me to say the Star Wars films and, while I do love them they’re not ones I regularly watch (in fact I’ve not done a full 11 film watch in quite awhile and probably should sometime this year). However the Star Wars films do give me feels, I still remember seeing the special editions with mum and one of my lasting memories of my grandad is him yelling when we saw The Phantom Menace. (And of course Revenge Of The Sith being the films I’ve seen most at the cinema and others being my first midnight showing films). I’m still having trouble deciding which of the newer films is my fav (i have favs from the OT a and PT and I think they’re obvious)

Probably my fav film to watch is Mamma Mia. It’s just so fun and the songs get stuck in my head for days after (and it inspired one of the fav fics I’ve ever done). I just think it’s such a fun good time and it makes me smile. The sequel is a bit less so for me, because yeah it’s still fun but there’s some contradictions with the first one that bug me a bit, but I still enjoy it. I’ll have to watch them again soon.

Another fav is the Guardians Of The Galaxy films which are my favourite of the MCU ones. They’re just so fun and combine my love of sci-fi stuff with some great music and so much fun. We’re gonna be doing a watch of them before the new one comes out (I probably won’t add in infinity war/endgame and I’m still kinda sad we don’t get a full film of the guardians with Thor)

Of Disney films I think my fav one has become Moana, which is so bright and pretty, thoughI also like Frozen (I’m less so about 2, because like with the Mamma Mia sequel isn’t feels like there’s contradictions). Apparently they’re working on a live action Moana which feels strange, especially when the animated one is so fun.

Lastly there’s Trick R Treat, which is a film that I watch every Halloween. It’s the perfect Halloween film and the best example of an anthology film I’ve ever seen. This is because each of the stories happens on the same night in the same places and if you watch closely you can see things that show how they weave together, which make it feel more cohesive then other anthologies tend to be.

I could probably think of a few others if I put my mind to it, I’m definitely sure I’m missing something but I’ll leave it there for now.

Anyone commenting, what’s your fav films?

***

Yesterday ended up being ok, my stomach did settle though I ended up being tired from the food shop coming late. And also there’s something mum said that lingered with me (I might go into that in a locked post later) and it definitely rattled me,

I did, however manage to finish Contrast last night so yay that’s a game done! It is the sort of game that I do like, the puzzles were pretty clever (the central mechanic is that you can shift into illuminated surfaces as a shadow), although some parts did feel a tad overlong. However it is pretty short and it did give me feels, so I enjoyed it.

I went up to bed after finishing it (and tucking Midna in) so I dozed off after that and missed Foolish’s qsmp stream, though I did watch clips this morning and he was cute.

Annoyingly this morning the net has flickered again (at least three times in the space of an hour). Talktalk are looking into it but, who knows what they’ll find,

At least it stayed active for The Mandalorian, which was actually pretty fun. The whole ep did feel like a side quest but it was entertaining and I loved the investigation part of it. And also it has both Jack Black and Christopher Lloyd as guest stars, which I had to do a double take for.

Now I’m gonna watch the Xbox uk stream in a bit and maybe fic some (since I did some more this morning)
shadowhive: (Mandalorian Darksaber)
Annoyingly my eyes have been achy since making the last post so I’ve not done as much as I was wanting to do. Since it started post gig I’m not sure if it’s just a post gig thing or something else. It was still bad yesterday but it seems to have eased now.

I was able to upload pics from the gigs so they are here I split pics into three posts (pre gig stuff, James Marriott and Lovejoy). I do have more but those seem to be the best. i had a little look at the videos and was surprised that the audio was so good. I mean the video obviously isn’t the best causa the distance but the audio really surprised me.

After Lost In Time not working and losing my progress I found out it wasn’t an isolated incident to me because the company finally addressed it (but only in an insta post). They also said that people shouldn’t uninstalled the game else they’d lose progress…. But that’s a standard thing people do when there’s an issue and this was posted days after it started. So naturally it’s pissed people off and it’s made me wary about doing anything on it again. Which is a shame because I was enjoying it. Hopefully they can fix it but until then?

Speaking of Who the new Who magazine came this morning not that I’ve had chance to look at it yet.

Also yesterday cinema times were put up for the week, DND only has a nighttime showing on Friday. However from Saturday there’s three showings so we’re gonna go then and aim for the 1pm showing. I’ve heard such good things so I’m really excited! (There’s no times for Mario yet though)

There was a new Zelda gameplay vid yesterday and it looks insane. There’s a new ability called fuse and I can tell people are going to do mad things. From the video itself it was used to make a makeshift hammer, a giant poking device and a raft (complete with engines!). It was also revealed some things from the last trailer were made with this ability instead of finding them in game. I swear people are going to make some absolutely insane shit (not me though I don’t think I’m creative enough but still)

I didn’t watch much qsmp stuff yesterday but foolish is making the head of his dragon. I did watch some of his stuff post the gig Monday and that was some wild stuff. A robot Luzu? Agreeing to raise a chicken with Mariana? Saying what he likes to do in bed is undo handcuffs? He’s insane. But I love how many people love him, he has this natural himbo charm that’s impossible to resist.

Today there was The Mandalorian so thoughts ahoy.

I’m hoping this week to get back on Resident Evil 2 (before starting 4) and also to watch something on shudder. Of course this depends on people not streaming and my eyes not aching. I can see either of those things happening and distracting me.

Once this post is done I might go on Fortnite cause there’s an update today and then… I dunno what todays plan is really. I might read some of the who magazine too but we’ll see.

I’m in two minds about Insomnia still. It’s next weekend and there’s still no panel times which is annoying. If there was a Resident Evil panel (which there should be) I’d be more inclined to go but if there’s not? I don’t think I will. I think it’ll all end up being an expense which is annoying (and it’d also mean missing whatever is from Celebration too).

Probably last call for AMA April before the month starts too?
shadowhive: (The Child Soup)
Last night I did watch some of the Who ray special features. There was a making of the special edition but it didn’t really shed light on exactly why day of the daleks got so much attention. It felt like it was a pet project of the guy that was making special features for the game and it seems even he was surprised he got some of what he did.

There was also a nice convention thing with the Brigadier and Yates too. I hope to finish the last few special features tonight after the qsmp stream though we’ll see.

My mind went a bit all over the place last night, so I didn’t sleep until quite late. Oop

Today I went to pick up mums dress thing and I also got a cheap Star Wars book (cause creatures) and some Lego in the sale, which included the Easter bunny set (and one I was gonna get mum for her birthday). There was also the new Lego Minecraft magazine and yay for next time having an axolotl.

I got tired on the way back so I am a bit worn out,

However I watched the mandalorian while having noms and ahh!

Now I’m gonna rest with Midna, I might build up the Lego bunnies if I don’t get tired and then tonight there’s the qsmp.
shadowhive: (The Child Soup)
So the fuzziness has continued into today. I’m trying to tell if it’s a mental health thing, or if it’s whatever made me feel ill Sunday or that I over exerted myself yesterday. Or if it’s some combo of all of the above. Either way it’s annoying and is draining me.

It seems there are at least two Doctor Who spin offs incoming and one of which is gonna be a UNIT series headed by Kate Stewart which I’m all here for (please let Osgood be there too). It’ll be curious how they handle things cause I know there’s been an audio series that’s Unit based already (that I’m curious about, it’s had Autons, the master, the silence and silurians among other things) so will it contradict it? Will it adapt some of the audios as live action? Or will there just be hints that link them. I guess we’ll see.

Other tv news is that Willow has apparently been cancelled which sucks because it was so great and had such a potential (especilaly since it seems there was two seasons planned). Hopefully there’s enough backlash to get them to backtrack, or that it’s wrong to begin with.

Lastly is thoughts on The Mandalorian (I dunno if anyone reads these but…

I’m gonna finish Jack’s stream, do some sonic frontiers and likely curl up and zzz, hopefully this fuzziness will end up shooing too)

(Last post also has links to ama and other things too)
shadowhive: (Mandalorian Darksaber)
So yesterday I was up at the library, but because I came all mums friend did was drop us off instead of staying too (though she did kindly come back later to bring us back home). It ended up being fairly busy, mostly at the end cause of the kids coming in.

I did read the Who Magazine and read all of the Sarah Jane Adventures stuff in it, which makes me nostalgic. Maybe I should do a run at some point? I’ve not watched it in ages and the last eps I only saw when they were on tv (despite getting the boxset). What also shocked me was how it first came out 15 years ago which is just… where has the time gone?? It does not feel like it was that long ago at all.

For those that don’t know what Sarah Jane Adventures is, it was a show on cbbc with Sarah Jane (from Doctor Who) and each story (bar the pilot) was two parts (about 25 minutes I think). It’s probably easy to call it a younger kids version of Doctor Who but I think that does it a massive disservice cause it never talked down to kids and didn’t shy away from some issues. I really will have to watch it again soon, maybe after the next Who boxset (the last ep I watched was, ironically, on one of those box sets).

The food delivery came early in its time slot but it was still dark when it came (not helped cause one of the lightbulbs has gone) and one of my bottles had sprung a leak in one of the basket things (though thankfully didn’t damage anything).

When I disc switched The Chase I put in Sonic Frontiers, intending to go back on it after awhile. So after NCIS New Orleans I decided to put it on… only my save didn’t show up. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but it still didn’t show up (despite a save file being in the manage game thing). I really hope this hasn’t lost the same because I was quite far into it and I don’t really wanna do it all over again. It’s so frustrating.

While I was installing it agin I went on Hi-Fi Rush again. I did another level on that, even getting a rare achievement which is cool. It’s so funny too with the things some of the robots come out with. Plus you get to pet a robot kitty, what’s not to love?

Since I was annoyed at sonic I switched the disc out for the time meddler which I might watch tonight or Friday. I would tomorrow like usual but there’s the capcom stream and I wanna see what Resident Evil things there is (aka Resident Evil 4 stuff).

I ended up watching the Sam And Colby vid at a lighthouse before going to bed, which was pretty spooky. I dunno why Colby did a reenactment in a dress but it was appreciated (and tying Sam to a chair??).

This morning it’s been snowing. It’s coming down pretty heavy now but doesn’t seem to be sticking just yet (though that could be causa the wet floor from recent light rain). I had to go up to the co-op to pick something for mums friend so did that quick cause I felt it’d get worse. Which it has so we’ve not walked Naryu and probably won’t today.

Last thing for the post (before I go on magic arena or Fortnite) is The Mandalorian.

Edit: I had a reply from someone on Xbox support and I got my save back! Hooray!
shadowhive: (Wilbur CMWYL)
Yesterday ended up being the stint at the library in the morning which ended up being kinda productive on two fronts. First, I was able to talk down mum about Adam. She managed to listen to reason (that access tothe presale wasn’t a guarantee, that the prices would be too much and, most importantly, Ididnt want to be in London at night alone).

Second I was able to read, finishing Nightmare Yearnings and reading some of the Who magazine (which made me curious about Blake’s 7 again, anyone seen it?). Nightmare was an anthology so it was the last four stories which were pretty good. Albeit some were like others in that it felt like they could have been longer.

The Fortnite season is ending next week which I thought was ending later in the month. So now I’m gonna be speeding finishing the bonus battle pass. Thankfully there’s a bunch of last minute quests to do so I’m gonna try and do them.

I did the little Lego birds nest that I got from Birmingham and it’s so cute! There’s a cute bird and some little hatchlings. It reminded me I meant to look for Lego explorers Sunday and forgot so I might have to go try and grab it next week.

Last night Squidcraft started which was an odd time at 6 (so I had to miss an hour of it for Voyager) and I watched foolish’s stream when I was watching, thankfully everyone I knew survived the first day so let’s see if they last till the end

I did watch a Simpsons ep last night, I watched Thanksgiving of Terror, in part cause the title gives treehouse of horror vibes in part cause I like the anthology eps. Unfortunately this one was a bit… eh. Mostly cause the first one was so horrific (and makes me glad I don’t eat meat cause those poor turkeys. The other segments were better but I think that first one was just so…

It probably didn’t help that I had a general Bad Feeling again which was just…. Ugh.is it because of the constant bombardment of bad news in the world or just anxiety being bad again? Or maybe it’s just tiredness or the result of the headache and stuff.

This morning not long after I came down (the Zelda tees I ordered from qwertee had came earlier than I expected too) there was a call and… ugh. Now they wanna do calls every 3 months about ESA and ugh. I hate calls (I hate going in more) and I just don’t see why they’re so necessary because they left me alone for so long. It’s just a new annoyance and I know it’s gonna be a source of anxiety. It seemed like she might be nice but… I dunno. I don’t trust the people there honestly.

After walking the pup there was The Mandalorian first ep of season 3 (thoughts under the cut)

Tonight I’m hoping to get back to The Quarry, though again it depends on how I feel or if I get drained.
shadowhive: (Bob Hillbilly)
So last post I mentioned the Mandalorian finale and, oh boy. If you like Star Wars any amount and have not seen it yet, you absolutely should, and if you have, just ahhh!

The weekend were pretty lazy days. I’m glad Bill won on Strictly and I watched Muppet Christmas Carol on Disney+. I’m still puzzled/disappointed that it misses out a song (Love Is Gone) when Scrooge is in the past. Yeah it’s a really sad song but it provides a nice counterpoint to the final song. Even so, it’s still a film I watch every year. I watched it Saturday cause there’s a few things on.

Sunday was the finale of His Dark Materials and... I dunno. It felt like it had been a load of build up and then it just ended like that. Of course there’s another series coming and this one was supposed to have an ep that was Asriel centric but COVID.

I did start a fic a few days ago, but I’ve not even looked at it since. We’ll see I guess.

Monday was a purposely lazy day, mostly because I knew today was gonna be annoying. However my qwertee tees came from the sale. Yay Among Us Pokemon tee and The Child tee. I didn’t even Xbox game properly last night (or Sunday) instead just being flop and zz.

Naryu was naughty though. She’s clawed open two presents (thankfully not damaged the contents) but still.

Today has been a tiring day. Before that though I went to put money on the gas card so we’d be all set... and I’ve promptly managed to lose it. I know I had it when I left the store (I even have the receipt) but it’s just... gone. I’ve just looked around and can’t find it. It seems I can get a replacement (even with the credit cause I have proof) but just... ugh.

When I got back there was a card from [personal profile] turps Which was shiny yay! We also had two things come from people we’ve not heard from in awhile, so mum’s been scrambling for the details for one. However they were dropped off just before we went out so couldn’t.

We had to go to Sainsbury’s today pick up a Christmas food order, as well as get a few things. Thankfully, there wasn’t a queue to get in or pick it up and there was plenty of fruit and veg, so we managed to get pretty much everything we went for (although they didn’t have the Lego I hoped for, or the Doctor Who yearbook). I’m baffled, though, at how much it was. It was more than a regular shop and I couldn’t see why that was. Maybe cause mum had meat and booze (and Krispy Kreme) but even so.

We also had to pick up food for the pup and they had a unicorn outfit so I had to get it.

Mum had suggested we get dominos so we ended up doing that which was nice. I ate most while watching DS9 and then I had a doze.

Tomorrow is gonna be a rest day, though I’m gonna pop to the co op for the last few bits since my money goes in early and then mum wants to cut and bath Naryu which I don’t see going well. So we’ll likely end up wet or clawed.

I hope everyone has a nice Holidays/Christmas/new year. I hope everyone stays safe too especially cause this year. I’m just gonna be hunkering down and building some Lego.
shadowhive: (Lando Grin)
The past few days have, again, been largely uneventful.

(I’m gonna avoid a ramble about the frustration on the idiocy and incompetence of the government.)

Thursday was the main eventful day because of the Disney announcements and the game awards. I didn’t watch the Disney announcement stream thing, so I got most of the info from twitter. There is going to be ten new Star Wars series coming to Disney+! We already knew bad Batch, Cassian and Obi-Wan series, but it also confirmed a few rumours. There’s gonna be one set in the new High Republic time period, two set during the Mandalorian and we are also getting a Lando series! I’ve been hoping that there would be one so I’m so glad about that.

It’s a bit odd that none of them are confirmed to be after the sequels (a droid one with R2/C-3P0 could be set anywhere) so I suspect that’ll be a blank patch for awhile.

It’s interesting that Hayden is back for the Obi-Wan series. Does this mean he has dreams/flashbacks? Or maybe visions?

There was also some marvel announcements but alive not watched most of the trailers for them. I did watch Loki though which looks like it’ll be pretty good.

The Game awards were, as always, long and were more announcement than actual awards. I did enjoy the two concert bits towards the end though wished they were longer (Hades music going to AC was awesome!). There were a few interesting games in the announcements, though other than ESO and the Callisto protocol I can’t recall them. It’s also a little annoying that Last Of Us won so many awa4s, especially due to the reported poor working conditions and crunch that the workers went through, surely that should’ve disqualified them from best direction but Ugh.

Yesterday was The Mandalorian which was a more straightforward eps (but after three weeks with major reveals that was ok). It was nice to see shoretroopers and the hovertank drivers appear again. And it was interesting to see Mayfield in a new light. It’s clear that he lost someone during operation cinder (or was just horrified by it)) and wasn’t surprised by what he did.

Hopefully next week they get Bo (and rescue Grogu).

Today’s ended up being a bit of a bleh day. I was gonna put a film on this afternoon but I just went so tired. That was probably not helped by it being an unusual Saturday.

Mum’s friend called yesterday, like she usually does, and she wanted to bring the Christmas stuff/pick up stuff she had delivered. The trouble is she’s had Covid and works in a care home so mum didn’t want her in so the exchange was made outside. That meant I had to be down to hold Naryu while it happened, and then mum wanted to go out with her as soon as it was done.

Of course the one time we walk her early we get a missed package thing through the door which ugh.

Tonight is strictly, which if I’m honest I’ve only half watched the last weeks, and then The Shape Of Water since it’s on channel 4. And then maybe game or watch something.
shadowhive: (Lego Porg Two porgs in a cloak)
I ended up finishing the assessment Thursday afternoon and, pretty much, ended up giving up with it and just submitting it. The report part was just wearing me down and I didn’t think I could do more to it. But ah well, it’s done.

Phogs! came to gamepass so I’ve been doing a level a night and it’s so cute! It’s a game we’re you control a Phogs, which is basically a dog with two heads and you use them in a variety of ways to solve levels. The whole thing is bright and colourful and so cute. For some reason it give me similar (but opposite) energy to goose game. Also the Phogs can have hats! They’re currently wearing little mushrooms from the food world. (And they can get petted by some of the people!)

Control also came to gamepass, I’m hoping to start it soon.

On Friday was the new The Mandalorian.

On Animal Crossing I’ve got all of the diy recipes now, other than the upcoming winter ones (snowman, trees, toy day stuff) so yay!

Saturday was a pain cause it started with mum being bitchy, but the tree is now up. It’s only got soft stuff on cause I worried Naryu might knock stuff off trying to get to the windowsill (she hasn’t yet but still).

I did watch the Lego Star Wars Holiday special and it was fun, as the Lego Star Wars stuff always is. Plus there’s the scene of Hux having a very visible gay panic over seeing Kylo shirtless. And a Finn being trained as a Jedi! That’s something I wished we’d seen in the films instead of him just yelling Rey all the time.

I managed to watch some films, the first of the month. First was Body on Shudder, which was listed as ‘darkly comic’ except it really wasn’t. It was actually pretty unpleasant, getting worse as the film went on. Made worse by the main girl saying that they should tell the truth the whole time... until the end where they decide to make the horrible girl into some hero (and villianise an innocent man). All in all it was eh, but at least it was short.

Sunday I watched Mary and the witches flower on Film4, which is a gibhli esque film. It was sweet and a nice thing to watch on the weekend, although I expected Endor college to have Ewoks. I did think about watching a Peter Rabbit on 4 but got tired so dozed instead.

Lastly was The World is not Enough which was on last night. You gotta love that theme tune, and the fact that the big bad was a woman.

I’m sure there was something else I was gonna include in a post, but I’ve honestly completely forgotten. I’m sure it’ll come to mind soon after I’ve hit post.

So I still didn’t do more of assessment. The nights have just been so restless leading to an utter lack of focus in the mornings. (On top of everything else)

AC on Turkey Day was oki, there were a few new rewards for it and most made sense, apart from the garden stand that just seems an odd choice. I like it, but it seems like an odd thing.

I‘ve done most of Hyrule Warriors and I think there’s only one main quest mission left. Ugh it’s such a fun game and I love how every race is working together. Though it seems like it’s gonna be a timey wimey thing.

Black Friday deals were... odd. I was looking forward to the Lego site having good deals but there just wasn’t (indeed the only thing that was on offer that I wanted wasn’t in stock even before it started boo). Even so the Razor Crest is ordered and I got some stuff to get the free set. (There’s also a Disney and Argos order done too, ugh)

There’s been talk about the tree being put up but I’m not convinced about it. Naryu likes getting in the window and I worry getting it up will just lead to her trying to get up and knocking stuff off.

Today has been... ugh. I woke up and it was a grey day, plus I wasn’t exactly feeling 100%. And then I came down and mum was messing with the net curtains in the window which are horrible. The hooks for them are behind blinds and really awkward to get to. So I had to get the most awkward one, mum went in the kitchen and I lost balance and fell. Thankfully I was just shaky and hurt my ankle but ugh. It wasn’t helped that mums reaction when she came in wasn’t to ask how I was but to moan about one of the blinds being pulled down and the tv going over. Ugh.

So yeah today’s been lazy as a result. I was thinking of watching something but just ended up watching Murder She Wrote and Pointless Celebs from last week. I even dozed completely through strictly.

The Set It Off gig is soon and it’s earlier than I thought it’d be. I dunno why I thought it was gonna be 3am, I must’ve checked the wrong time zone.

Lastly yesterday was The Mandalorian (thoughts ahoy)

So after spending Wednesday upstairs in bed on Thursday my stomach was mostly better although my head was achy instead. This wasn’t help by my asshole uncle deciding to come and ‘sort out’ the garage door by putting something up for it. This was problematic not just because I still wasn’t feeling 100% but also because he gave us a 10 minute warning and there’s also a washer in the garage near the door. So that was fun. Of course they made comments and it just riled me up.

Bastard.

Thankfully the remote replacement came and that works for the most part, though the volume buttons seem to not want to behave. Ah well.

The bad thing about recently, probably because of not feeling well, is that my mind’s been overthinking leading to my anxiety acting up which is... not good. I even had a very intrusive thought which I’ve not had before which... No.

Ugh.

The first Madina show was last night and it was great to see them play again. It was the full new EP plus a few bonus songs. It inspired me to do a Matthew/Nathan thing for kinktober, even though it’s day 22 so now I’m doing that out of order (but ah well).

The second show was tonight and it was fun too, though featured a surprising amount of covers. Though I definitely got Mateo/Nathan vibes (he called him babe!) so that might end up being another thing. But yeah it was good to see them perform and that they’re just as bouncy as ever.

Today I ended up watching The Mandalorian again and...

I then watched Daleks! Which I’m not quite sold on, though the last scene has made me intrigued. We ended up watching James May’s new cookery thing too and that was pretty funny.

Other things.
*The Umbrella Academy is getting a season 3 yay! Please no Dave this time k?
*Palaye Royale’s new vid is out and... Unf vampires.
*Of course Naryu got to play with puppy Milo when I didn’t go walking with her boo
*Hyrule Warriors is next week yay!
*I got to the Hydra on Hades... and it killed me

Since the disaster that was Monday things have been better (well as better as they can be with a constant stream of anxiety and exhaustion).

Monday night I watched Trick R Treat. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it now but I still spot some new things due to how interconnected all the stories are. It really is one of my favourite films to watch.

Tuesday was largely uneventful other than food shop coming. And, of course, there was bake off. It’s a shame that Lottie left. She was my other fav and now she’s gone, mostly due to bad luck (Laura should’ve gone really). I still think doing a challenge with ice cream in summer is a stupid idea.

On Wednesday the package from Heather came, yay! Though the tracking was a bit of a fail at times since it lots the delivery van on the map (and then went all together at the end). There was some Star Wars stuff (Christmas funkos, a Child) as well as a halloween bag and taffy! Yay!

I managed to finish fic so yay! Though I’m not sure what I’ll do with the next one yet.

I’ve been real tired lately, and I think it’s because of the additional anxiety that’s going round causa the election, but it seems trump has lost which is good. Even though he’ll need to be dragged out kicking and screaming like a toddler. I don’t know how anyone can still support him after all the stuff he’s said and done.

Despite that I have managed to read. I started Lesser Known Monsters on Monday and it’s pretty good so far. I’ve read all of the first part and now I’m so curious. For awhile I did actually wonder if the monster title was a misdirect but there definitely is some monster stuff going on (especially so after the end of part one and the interlude).

I managed to watch last week’s Discovery Thursday and just... it’s so odd seeing Earth become so isolationist as it has. Though perhaps it’s not a surprise considering people are assholes. It’ll be interesting seeing Trill again soon, especially since I’ve been watching DS9 lately.

I also managed to finish up Mario 64 on the switch, woo! Getting the last of the 70 stars was a bit of a pain but I managed it. I also started Carto, after seeing how cute it looked on the I’d stream on Monday. I finished it last night and it was so sweet, if a bit tricky at times. (And boo I missed one of the achievements.)

Yesterday was Friday so it was The Mandalorian time. Thoughts ahoy,

This morning I had a pancake from Vin so first xmas card! Which is a little odd and sweet. I’m currently snuggled and watching The Black Cauldron since I’ve not seen it before.
