shadowhiveSo today was the last ep of Picard, so thoughts are ahoy.
First off, before I get into the thoughts, I definitely need a Picard based icon. I’ve wanted one but wanted to wait till the end. I’m also not sure who I’d want an icon of. Seven? Rios? Elnor? One of the Rios holos? Ahhhh I can’t decide! If anyone has good pics or icons I’d be grateful! (I’ll have to load up the laptop to make them)
Anyway, onto spoiler thoughts under the cut.
First off yes! My boys survived! As did Seven! And it looks like she’s joining the crew! (And is it just me or was there a a vibe between that last scene with Seven and Raffi)
So being the finale meant that there was a lot happening and a lot of stuff ended up getting resolved, but also there’s a few questions. (More on those later) I’ll probably just bullet point them in the order I think of them.
*Seven kicked ass! I’m glad Rizzo died, it’s what she deserved after everything she did (I’d feel a little sad for Narek if she wasn’t a bitch)
*Sutra got found out for killing Saga and letting Narek go resulting in her deactivation
*Agnes was smart, stealing Saga’s eye and freeing Picard and then helping him fly the ship
*Starfleet arriving and Riker, yay!
*Picard getting a new body albeit only with ‘as long as he’d have lived without his abnormality’
*Surprise Data at the end, though it was sad
Questions
*What’ s going to happen Agnes now? She was gonna turn herself in, is that still gonna happen?
*Is Narek gonna be turned in too? Or is he imprisoned on the colony?
*Where are the other XB’s that survived the crash?
*Why didn’t Starfleet keep any ships above the planet? They just warped away. What was to stop the romulans just turning around and coming back? (Or coming back at any other time) I find it hard to believe the Zhat Vash would just walk away like that. Also Oh has now lost her position that took years to obtain. There’s bound to be consequences
I’m sure there’s more, but I had a nap after it so... oops.
On Animal Crossing thoughts I now have resident services as a building. I’ve got the campsite and a ramp placed And unlocked lots more crafting recipes. I’ve placed a fountain, outdoor bath and a well (which has definite Ring vibes!). Mabel Was also on the new square so I’ve bought everything go from her in hopes she’ll ask for the shop soon. All in all a productive day
I also got mail this morning, so the reissues of a Doctor Who the collection season 12, yay! I might speed up my watch of 19 so I can start it. (Also Who, I watched Rose last night and it was pretty good. I’d not seen it in ages so it was good to look back)
I’m gonna snug and watch the usual stuff (and celebrity murder mystery) And then load up the xbox to game or watch day of the Doctor.

Date: 2020-03-28 10:54 am (UTC)I loved the appearances from Data and Will and Seven was amazing. I really liked the scene with her and Rios and she was so with Raffi at the end. A much better choice than Chakotay. Though really, most choices would be.
I did think Picard's death was a bit rushed. I mean, we didn't even know about this brain condition he had until near the end and then we find out and he dies and is then brought back within a short space of time. I think they needed to have hinted at it throughout all the episodes because it seemed to come out of nowhere.
Saying that overall I very much enjoyed the ep and am glad the show is coming back.

I mean what was up with that relationship? It came out of nowhere and never sat right with me (watch me complains more when the Voyager run gets there).
Yeah the brain condition is only touched on (I think it was in the finale of tng too). Yeah his death and then return was a little fast but... ah well

Oh, complain away. I never understood how Seven/Chakotay became canon and never will.
