A few last things on celebration now that it’s wrapped up.

It’s kinda hard to get excited about some things because they’re so evasive, share nothing with people at home or when they do there’s just vague concepts. So it’s hard to get too excited about upcoming projects with minimal information.

Having said that I think the show I’m most excited for has become the Acolyte, even though I’ve not seen anything the passion of the people involved shines through. I’m cautiously optimistic about Ahsoka because it looks cool I’m still a bit uncertain about the voice actors being selectively discarded. Then there’s the whole bringing Thrawn back which as a concept I’m not thrilled by either. But I guess we’ll see it could all work really well.

And then there’s Visions which is the other thing I’m most excited about, because, again, the passion of the people involved shines through and the concepts all sound so awesome. Plus we get to see Aardman do Star Wars and it looks like it’ll be so funny!

Last night was the final Dreamsmp stream because of the timing I was only gonna watch a bit but I ended up watching all of Tubbo’s stream (I should’ve gone to someone else later I might watch the vods of someone) but it was kinda full of feels.

I know I came to it towards the end as things winded down but it was quite emotional watching people go to these places and interact with each other. Though it is a shame certain people weren’t there too and did get a chance to be a part of it. (How much of that was by choice on their part I’m not sure)

But the whole thing does feel sad. I think, on my part, it’s because it kinda felt there was a lot of missed opportunities. What was the deal with Foolish and Eret? Eryn becoming a knight, the plan to revive Ranboo (that never went anywhere), Sapnap having the death book. And there’s bound to be other things I can’t think of. It’s a shame that so many cool ideas just didn’t go anywhere. (And of course tales which the last vid was such a cool thing and then it went nowhere too.)

I wonder how much was a result of poor communication, how much was the result of other things coming up and how many didn’t want to when Techno passed. Which is so sad, because the two streams with him I watched (the prison break and saving Micheal) were just so exciting and some of the best stuff.

I’d say the best finales (which I’m so glad we got) were the egg one and the Las Nevadas one, although it’s a shame both left some things hanging (what was the deal with Ranboo randomly in Las Nevadas finale in the afterlife) but also Punz being hot as a villain in Tommys was just so unf.

But yeah it’s so sad it’s over. I’ll miss the summer home and the museum and everything else and I hope the map goes up at some point (seriously, put it up in the store, make it so most/all of the money goes to the sarcoma foundation and everyone would get it).

[And I’m also sure I’m missing some other things I was gonna say about it but it’s left my head]

By contrast the qsmp stream I watched was crazy with Slime’s descent into madness over his egg being accidentally killed by his partner. The thing is it could have gone so dark so easily but it didn’t, primarily because every attempt Slime did to kill the other eggs (in an attempt that it would reset and bring his back) went so wrong. Through a mix of his incompetence, everyone being so well kitted out and, in Philza’s case, made the egg’s home fucking impregnable. Thankfully slime got talked down and now there’s a court case happening (with a sacrifice?) which is just wild.

The whole qsmp has such insane chaotic energy which I love, although I miss a lot because time zones but seeing clips when I wake is mental. And Vegetta and Foolish are so sweet. Hopefully Wilbur is on once the tour is finished because I need to see him and Luzu and Quackity (hopefully the event keeps going so he can be a part of it)

Today, after debating because of weather, I went to the small new Game and got a few of the Star Wars Black series figures in the sale. I got Reva from Obi-Wan, Magistrate Greef from The Mandalorian and a Luke in a fancy box. Alas going was tiring cause I rushed so now I’m a bit tired so I’m just gonna flop, watch stuff and maybe write or game later.

You know, it really is remarkable (in the bad sense) how twitter has been screwed up by Elon. Between the rise of hate speech, firing an insane amount of staff, the failure that was twitter blue and now I’m hearing private tweets aren’t private. How can you fuck something up so quick? (And how is this guy a buisness man?)

I’m sticking it out over there, mostly cause update accounts and such are still there, and it’s likely things will return to ‘normal’ soon. I’ve just got a Mastodon though and it’s here not that I know what I’m doing.

Anyway, yesterday we went to town to see Black Panther. We didn’t do too much in town otherwise (we had a little look around in a few places though) and then watched the film. There were a few good trailers, Spirited looks fun, Strange Worlds looks pretty and the new Ant Man looks like it’ll be pretty good.

As for Black Panther I’m not gonna say too much about it, but it was pretty good, although obviously it was also pretty sad. Of course the costume department did an awesome job, because so many of the Wakandan outfits were so pretty. And I’m glad with how the resolution turned out.

I was back in time for the early lore stream which, combined with Fridays was a lot. I definitely need more Punz content, because damn he was pretty hot. And Fridays one played out in parts like a horror film. The last one is tonight (at least of Tommy’s I think there’s a few other ones soon) but I’m definitely curious how it plays out.

Then there was MCC, I first followed the raid from Tommy to Ranboo and damn, he was dressed as Rosalina and wearing a dress that showed off his shoulders which was pretty hot. I ended up switching from him though to watch James, to see if he had a breakdown which… he didn’t. He did pretty well for his first time (he got 34th and his team 8th) and he was fun to watch too, plus he had Ash there with him which was sweet (and he had calls from like, 5 people.)

I didn’t do too much after that, I watched some of Eret playing Subnautica (and finally tried the paprika Doritos which are… ok but not something I’ll have again) and then I went up to bed.

Today is Addam’s Family Values later on, then the lore stream and then… I dunno. I might do Ooblets for the Halloween thing and more splatoon for the Pokémon splatfest.

I’m hoping to work on the uni assessment tomorrow (I’ve had… no luck working on it at all) and then I wanna try and do a few things this week before pokemon comes. It feels I’ve been so swamped with things that there’s just been… no time.

Things I wanna try and do
*Do more of the Pokémon Legends story, hopefully to finish it
*Maybe do Once Upon A Jester
*Get more levels on Fortnite for the bonus battle pass
*Start the New Dragon Prince eps
*Watch more Sandman
*Watch Ghostwatch
*Fic maybe
*Read some fic
*Find the Lego Star Wars game disc (it so bothers me it’s awol)
*Finally do the character sheet for that mini dnd thing, which feels like it’s so delayed now it might not happen
*Read and fill in one other form

I’m sure there’s something else.
shadowhive: (Ranboo Boa)
I have no idea why I’m awake so early, but I’m kinda glad cause I saw Blue are gonna be on Sunday brunch, so I might watch the whole thing (most likely +1 ing it cause I’m not awake enough to move much less watch anything in an hour.

Friday night I ended up feeling really drained. I meant to watch ghost files as usual but about half way through I just zoned out. I paused it, then ended up just… dozing on the sofa.

I woke a few hours later and Ranboo had decided to post pics of his outfit for a Halloween party and I honestly thought I’d dreamed it because it was bloody, showing skin and included something lacy (that seems to be from Victoria’s Secret). Honestly I still can’t believe it’s real.

Yesterday was the Birmingham trip which proved to be a mix of things. We ended up leaving later than I would have liked but the train did turn up which was a plus (I’d said to myself if there was issues this time I’d just scrap it). Also (gasp!) there’s a new ticket machine at the station which means it was working for once! (Oddly the sign at the station was still acting up though) I did spent the trip finally reading some of the last lesser known monsters and I hope to get back to reading more soon

First stop was the first forbidden planet (which is called worlds apart but still comes under forbidden planet, just international. Ye it’s confusing). They’d tweeted they had the free Halloween comics so I knew they’d had them but, bar the one at the till, they were tucked away and I missed them until I asked (usually on free comic book day they’re in one of two places, this was neither). They had 4 of the 6 comics and, most important, they had the Star Wars one, woo! They also had a trick r treat Sam funko which I’d been wanting for ages soo had to get him (and I got a dice roll discount woo!)

We had a look in tk and the bullring but nothing really struck me, though mum had body shop stuff and I was able to use the wi if to go on Pokémon go. Some of the new Lego sets were on display in the store which were pretty cool, though I have to agree with the review the new Christmas set is disappointing. (I did also get a make and fake Frankenstein head to bring home though)

Next was smiths to look for the new who chronicles (they didn’t have it) but we stopped at the bank first. Mum had some cheques to pay in but… the machine didn’t like the first one we tried then refused to give it back so we needed a guy to get it. Sigh.

I popped in cex to get event horizon which they had still (woo!) and also picked up fallen kingdom since it was £3 (even though I’m sure I’ll still find it eh and sad). Then we went to Poundland where we got a meal deal and some other things.

Last stop was the other forbidden planet and I hadn’t expected to get anything there but ended up draining what little remained of my money. I went downstairs first and found some Resident Evil books for 99p (two film adaptions, two original stuff) and also found the new Who Chronicles which I could’ve easily missed. My bane ended up being the Star Wars stuff on the ground floor. I got one of the new figures that was reduced to half off (Boba Fett from the Mandolorian) and there was also one of the rare micro galaxy squadron’s (which is 1 or 15000 and is thus hard to get). Alas in draining the money it caused issues paying which… ugh. But I managed it. (Also bonus, they had one of the Halloween comics there too, which was a Junji Ito preview thing so I picked it up, it was the only one of the Halloween comics there though)

After eating we went to the museum for the cinema exhibit which… was honestly disappointing. I feel it was hyped up a bit and it ended up pretty much being just one room, which was a shame. More interesting was the table just outside where there were people showing off local finds. We had a little wander round the rest of the museum but there’s still parts closed off which is a shame.

The last stop was Tesco, which wasn’t meant to be as mum wanted to go to the m and s. Alas Tesco had litter which has become hard to find. The only issue? It was just being put out and was at the bottom of the cart thing so we had to wait a for the poor kind staff to get it. Oh did I say only issue because no. When I went to the till I had a mild panic because I couldn’t find my wallet, and I think in trying to get it I busted my earphones (one of them has vanished completely) I did find it but the panic… ugh. The other issue is that litter is heavy so we couldn’t go anywhere else but the station.

When I got home I was so tired but there was two things at home. First, the palaye album (which I need to put on my pod thing but I’m too drained right now) and the elder scrolls loot crate. I’d thought, from my last email with them that they’d cancelled it. Turns out no (or maybe it’s one of the backed up ones I’m not sure). It was actually so disappointing though, the box was pretty much empty and there was just a pin badge, socks, a replica thing and a cute cat plushie. Sigh.

I watched some of strictly (Halloween is always the best one and Craig’s outfit wa on point) but the egg lore was on during it so I ended up watching that. It was so pretty and you can tell Bad was inspired by Quackity’s stuff to go so hard on it. (I also liked how he got Eryn and Seapeekay in.) there was a lot of cool stuff in it and I do wanna know what’s next (even though I am puzzled by some things and hoped foolish would be in it)

I did think about watching It or the exorcist since I saw they were on tv and I’d seen neither but I was too drained. I ended up doing a little dead by daylight and host files then just… drifting off.

Today is gonna be a lazy day. I might watch some spooky stuff tonight after the Tutankhamen thing on bbc2 and then… I dunno.
shadowhive: (Badboyhalo Heart)
So yesterday was my birthday and this post is gonna be mostly about that (first of all thanks for all the birthday wishes, I need to answer all the Facebook ones in a bit) but it’ll also be about a few other things because… fuck.

So a few days ago I decided to run a twitter poll for what I’d watch on my birthday. I thought I’d have a two hour gap (between Halloween Wars, which I just found out the other day was on food network) and taskmaster. The gote was three options: The Umbrella Academy, The Sandman or one ep of each. It became pretty clear that The Umbrella Academy was gonna win so I fully intended on watching that yesterday.

So on Wednesday, after Andor (and getting the update of Dreamlight Valley downloading) I decided to watch the first Sandman ep and I’m pretty intrigued by it all and hoping to watch more soon (maybe later).

Of course Badboyhalo decides he’s gonna do a big announcement stream during the time slot on my birthday so… yeah I ended up not watching it (again!) but! I’ll put it on later today. Maybe. Hopefully. We’ll see.

But back to my birthday day. I didn’t do uni stuff cause birthday (and my energy was a bit off) and I fully intended to come down a bit earlier to walk the pup (cause I knew a package would be coming). Alas I didn’t cause mum was yelling (not about anything me or the pets did, but about her teeth breaking again) so I decided to stay up instead. Plus it was pretty wet anyway.

I spent the morning while waiting building my birthday present, a Lego set of the droid BD-1. I ended up building two bags before going to town and a third when we got back (of a total of six) and so far that’s his legos and lower body done. (He’s a droid from Fallen Order which I really, really need to get back to at some point).

Town trip was a bit of a bust, I didn’t need to go, I could’ve stayed home and built more, but I went mostly to see if Smiths had the new Doctor Who magazine special (alas they didn’t, but I got a penguin instead), to see what Halloween stuff Poundland had (I mostly got sweets and some reduced Lego vidiyo blind boxes, but alas there wasn’t the cool shark) and went to Asda (I got the pumpkin I hoped for but alas they didn’t have any of the avocado and halloumi things).

It’s here I make a slight interlude. On Wednesday the beleaguered prime minister said she was a fighter, implying she’d not go without a fight. Over the course of the day she lost her Home Secretary (a truly, utterly vile woman who shouldn’t have been anywhere near power), and then that night there was a vote to ban fracking which should have been the easiest thing in the world, but tories made it into a thing. There was harassment, bullying and a whole load of nonsense.

So cut to yesterday, I’m in Poundland just looking at the Halloween stuff to see if there’s anything new and I overhear someone on the phone. The PM has resigned. Some fighter she is. So now we have a week of more Tory nonsense as they try and decide who best to take the job (would anyone want it? It’s surely a poisoned chalice) which will surely mean a general election because people are fed up.

At least Truss will be remembered as the shortest serving PM (beating one who died in office).

Well shortest one so far.

But anyway, back to yesterday. So we came back, I built some Lego, had some noms then cake (and went on Animal Crossing for the birthday thing) and then I watched Bad’s stream. It was an announcement on upcoming lore streams (and some awesome merch!) there’s a big thing on Sunday (please don’t be on the same time as doctor who please!) which has a lot of people involved. I’m glad Bad got Eryn and Seapeekay involved cause it’ll be their first major thing (especially Eryn), followed by Bad doing one next Saturday (and inspired by Quackity it’s pre recorded and a big thing). So that all sounds really cool and it means I’ll have to (finally) watch Red Banquet soon because I wanna see (and from the animatics Bad is kinda hot during it?).

But yeah that ate up the time till Taskmaster, which was pretty fun. Then there was a short gap before the Resident Evil Showcase stream. It was pretty much only about two things, the dlc for Village (and RE:Verse which is coming soon too and is included with it) but there was also info and some gameplay from Resident Evil 4, which looks so awesome! I’m not sure I’m quite sold on the new look for Luis yet though. But damn, do they go hard on the bonus Leon outfits in the dlc. There’s four alternate costumes and some are really, really hot and for why? I need Leon/Leon (and Leon/Ranboo) fic stat! (Although why is it only for Xbox series x and not one, especially when PlayStation 4 is getting it)

The Resident Evil stream was the third of three gaming streams this week and I think it was definitely the best of the three. The Sims one Tuesday wasn’t that great and the Silent Hill one was… off somehow? Despite some interesting reveals it just seemed… I dunno.

Anyway, last birthday thing was watching VHS99 with Chai (who is so sweet!)k which came to shudder yesterday. For those that don’t know what VHS is, it’s a horror film series that’s essentially a found footage anthology film. The one that came to shudder last year, vhs94, was really really strong with only the last segment being eh (because of the content/setting really) so I had hopes this one would be good too.

Alas it wasn’t. There was a few things of it that stood out and I think there was only one really good segment. (The first one had a real pretty guy, well two, but the characters were obnoxious, the second had spiders eww, the third was the best of the bunch, the fourth was another bunch of obnoxious people though I liked the end and the last one was pretty good.) but yeah that was kinda a shame.

Today I’m hoping to finish BD-1, maybe watch stuff (Ranboo has a dinner stream which no one knows what it means) and hopefully fic more, but we’ll see. And hopefully the who magazine will come cause it’s over a week late, though I’m thinking there’s a distribution issue cause smiths didn’t have it either.
shadowhive: (Quackity Looking up)
My arm is now better from the jab which is good… but now my throat feels all scratchy for some reason which is so annoying. It started last night and it’s just ugh. It’s not too bad, but as had hoped to have some Doritos and watch something this weekend which I’m not gonna attempt in case it makes it worse. Ugh.

The Mario trailer came out before taskmaster and my thoughts on it are, well. the animation looks incredible and it looks so pretty and Jack Black clearly understands the assignment as Bowser but Chris Pratt? Not so much.

I decided to watch another film on shudder this week. I ended up watching Deadstream Thursday night, which was about a disgraced influencer doing a stream in a haunted horse. It was actually better than I expected it would be. (Although it did leave me with some questions.) The main guy was a bit… well he was a complete idiot at times (removing the spark plugs to his car so he’d not been tempted to leave, padlocking the door… and then dropping the key throat a grate for the same reason). But still, I liked it. I’m not sure I’d watch it again anytime soon but if there’s a follow up or something by the same people? I’d be curious.

Yesterday the Fortnite comic came, which I still need to read but the reward for all them is a pretty cool air on Man outfit from it.

As predicted I went to town yesterday which was a bit eh. I’d hoped to get some adult colouring books from Asda but of course they didn’t have them (and other places didn’t have things either) but I did get a Thor tee. I also got a bunch of Halloween things, including a few kits to make/paint things. It was pretty annoying though cause I missed buses on the way there and way back (one went just as I was leaving the front door).

Yesterday night was the DreamSMP which seemed… off somehow. (And it’s not just me that thinks so from what I can tell.) The presenter just didn’t have any charisma (I wish Jack had done the presenting like the other panel that made it fun) and it just seemed so odd. Ranboo didn’t really say anything and I’m not sure if it was because he was tired from jet lag (he only arrived the day before then had the morning meet and greet) or something else.

On the plus side Foolish was there for the first part and he looked so damn hot (and of course Quackity sat next to him) and Dream was nice to insist some of the others joined the stage for it. (And the answers to the head canon question was fun) and I did learn that peanut butter on celery is a thing (and not just a Foolish thing).

But yeah it just felt strange. Maybe it’s because twitchcon hasn’t exactly been the best from what I hear, cause they mismanaged meet and greets and the panel was in a small room (even though they knew it would be in high demand) hopefully the cooking stream later is better and I know that name your price will be fun (although the replacement is an unknown to me which is a shame).

After that I didn’t do too much, I watched the new Ghost Files (damn the way they talked about the ghost that’s apparently a hot guy) and finished up a quest on ESO (and also doing one of the antiquities thing which ugh, it’s so annoying). I’m hoping to do a spooky game soon cause I haven’t yet, even if it’s just cult of the lamb which I’ve still not gone on.

Last night too the Doctor Who twitter announced the trailer was coming today. I expected it to be on tv before or after strictly (though it still likely will be) but then they posted it this afternoon suddenly instead. It looks like it’ll be pretty awesome and epic, though again it does make me feel a little… worried, that there might be too much in it and that they’re not given time to breathe. I hope the ep is long enough to allow that. I guess we’ll find out soon.

I might do a song Saturday later but we’ll see. Or it might just be tomorrow. Now I’m gonna rest and see what’ll happen.
shadowhive: (c!Quackity Glory Glory)
Yesterday ended up being better than I expected (I might make a post about why some other time). Because of Dreamlight Valley I ended up watching two films on Disney+, Ducktales and Sword In The Stone. Both were entertaining enough, though obviously some things in the opening of the Ducktales film have ages… poorly.

Then I played Dreamlight some more, including unlocking a new area (and finding Kristoff!) as well as Maui.

It felt that yesterday also had a lot of things happening. There was the Disney expo, which wasn’t streamed but did reveal some trailers. For Star Wars there was ones for Andor, Tales Of The Jedi and the Mandalorian, all which seemed pretty awesome. There was also a first pic from Skeleton Crew and some from Ahsoka.

There was also Marvel reveals and a few trailers. I think the one I’m most interested in is Werewolf By Night which is a special for Halloween season which is shot in black and white for some reason but it looks pretty cool.

Then there was the Ubisoft stream, which looked cool with Rabbids and Mario stuff, as well as a long one about Assassins Creed. Mirage seems to be going back to somewhere from the early games, which I have no attachment to but I’m curious about cause they have Shohreh Aghdashloo voicing a main character.

The main thing last night though was Quackity’s lore that can be watched here

Some thoughts under the cut (so anyone that might wanna watch can avoid them)

I’m gonna hopefully work on fic more as well as watching random stuff on tv, but we’ll see.

There might be multiple posts today (we’ll see) but today is the first. So pic post ahoy.

I may get round to answering other comments later depending on my mood (spoiler: it’s not been good). But at least one god thing happened yesterday: the stuff from eBay came which is a surprise cause Evri still have the punz bees somewhere and I can’t find a contact page.
shadowhive: (2nd + 3rd A dandy and a clown)
Today I had some mail come, in the form of The Abominable Snowmen blu ray. It’s the newest (and, sadly, seemingly last) animated episode.

The animated eps usually add something that weren’t present in the original ones. Be it making the sets appear bigger, adding a full little Easter eggs or just having a colour version (alongside a black and white one). This episode went a bit further, making another change which is kinda bigger.

See the episode is set in a Tibetan monastery in the Himalayas, yet the actors used were predominantly white made up to look non-white. In the animation the characters are more appropriately Asian. You could make an argument about that being a good or bad call, but I think it’s the right one.

The ep is a little… plodding, as 6 episode stories usually tend to be. At least it’s not the usual format of people getting captured, escaping and recaptured (although there is an element of that). And it works pretty well, although it could’ve been wrapped up a little better.

It’s also funny that the main ‘villain’ (well human puppet of the villain) is referred to as the master. Even more so considering how he manipulates and uses a form of hypnosis. It’s nice that Victoria gets a lot to do in this ep too (and funny how quickly her eagerness to explorer, and Jamie’s unwillingness, flips when it changes from a possibility of a beast and a human)

It’s also funny that the ep ends with Jamie saying he hopes the next stop is somewhere warmer… cause the next ep is The Ice Warriors which is even colder. (Though the actual yeti at the end looked off somehow).

I usually the making of separately, especially after a long ep, but mum was curious so I ended up disc switching to it. A large portion of it is filmed at the location the ep was filmed, in Snowdonia, and it looks absolutely beautiful, I’d love to visit it sometime.

It was nice to see everyone reminiscing over the filming, and pics of the yeti costumes do look so cuddly. It was also nice (and surviving) that they had some footage of Deborah Watling and her dad from older interviews. Especially touching was they interview one of the guys that played a yeti and he ended his interview saying he was the last one left…. It’s especially pouring now that he has since passed as well.

***

Now onto over things.

Things do seem to be better now then they were. After spending a few days upstairs I did end up coming down and things seem mostly back to normal. Although there’s still some annoyances (mum suggests the table I bought in shifts position, I doubt it will fit where she wants it).

I was planning to start watch Star Trek Discovery, since I used a month free code from Xbox game pass but…. It hasn’t worked out. For some reason we don’t have paramount +’s app on uk Xbox (which wtf especially since Halo is a big draw) and getting it to play on Microsoft edge… isn’t working. I’ve emailed them and waiting to hear back bit… ugh.

Friday was the first two eps of Rings Of Power and I ended up watching both of them. No spoilers, but I thought it was pretty great and I enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Also on Friday, ironically while watching an Xbox uk stream, I had a twitter dm come through from them. There’d been a twitter comp to win a code for Destiny 2 and I won one, which was pretty cool. It’s gonna give me more incentive to get back on it (especially since it’s space pirates).

Saturday wasn’t too exciting daytime wise. We watched the first ep of Ridley on itv player (though it did fight us for it) and who knew that Adrian Dunbar could sing like that? (I do thing the first ep was better than Sundays but).

Nighttime was Wilbur’s Lahore, which was a bit annoying cause it got delayed about three times. As a character finale it did have feels to it…. And then ended up with Wilbur being from Utah which is a very wtf moment (especially with him doing a live action bit for it) but yay ghostbur has friend! It’s a shame Quackity didn’t appear, though he does have his lore thing this week which… might he plain it.

Sunday I finally watched the extended version of The Two Towers and now I have had that end credits song in my head. It’s just so haunting.

I’m awaiting two things to come from the mail. The Punz bees are supposedly handed off to Evri, but the tracking has not been updated in close to a week now. I’m also waiting for something I won on eBay, which hasn’t been sent yet. I’ll have to email them if there’s no updates.

We are apparently going out next week to Birmingham, so we might go to one of the heritage week things (as well as seeing the bull if it’s still there). Someone at mums book group mentioned doing a walking tour so maybe we’ll look into one (I’m curious about the catacombs one but the dates are likely off)

I’m hoping to do stuff this week since my energy has been so off but I guess we’ll see.
shadowhive: (Wilbur Salute)
This weekend has felt like it’s forever. In fact that’s a thing of the whole last week. It feels like so much has happened it’s hard to process.

But first off. Hi people from the snowflake friending thing. I’m honestly not expecting to get anyone from it, but if anyone does show up… welcome.

So I did none of the things I mentioned hoping to do in the last post, though I am hoping to do some of the Who ray stuff tonight.

Saturday night I ended up watching the lore stream through Techno’s on YouTube (I’ve not watched Eret or Tubbo’s pov, but unlike others since they were together 95% of the time I don’t think there’s gonna be much difference) and it was actually a pretty awesome stream. It was funny and sweet and the three of them (dubbed the revengers) worked together so well. (And there’s such awesome art of them all) They managed to achieve their goal, which was to save Micheal and get justice for what Sam had done, which ended up not being his death but locking him in the prison he ran (which seemed more fitting).

This was followed by Manatreed’s first (and it seems only) stream. Alas it was plagued with issues at the start but it was nice how helpful everyone was and he seemed to be so sweet. I really hope that he’s ok.

Then there was a few other streams before I went zzz.

I spend the weekend doing pokemon legends, which has been pretty fun so far. I like I said it’s taking some getting used to and there is some annoyances (the satchel size being one) but overall it’s a fun and different entry into the series. At the moment I’m just outside the area to do electrode.

Sunday started with an annoyance as I came down the stairs to see mum… standing on the table dusting off the shelves. Now we had agreed to sort the table out together and only once I’d done my uni assessment so to see her like that was… a mix of infuriating, stressful and worrying. What if she’d fell and hit her head or something? I mean it’s so stupid and just… ugh

The night was the end of Around The World In 80 days, which has been a pretty fun thing to watch. Honestly I was surprised that they fit the whole trip in one 8 ep series, but it worked well. And the last scene does hunt a possible follow up (or maybe it’s just a tease).

Alas Sunday night ended up going pretty terribly. Will I go into it in detail here? Not in this post. Maybe in a locked one at another time, but most likely not. Suffice to say my mood crashed terribly, to the point where I shut off twitter notifications and ended up just… laying in the dark in silence.

This followed to Monday when I was so numb I didn’t do anything. I had intended to do uni stuff in the morning but just… couldn’t.

It took awhile to get back into a kinda grove. Pokemon proved to be a good enough distraction but… yeah it was a pretty bad day.

The night proved to be better, even though there was an annoyance of the pad needing an update.

I was gonna do more uni stuff this morning but I was pretty cozy and then when I did open the laptop and did some the thing needed to update and restart. Ugh. Hopefully I can do more in a few.

Tonight I’m hoping to watch something and maybe work on fic, but we’ll see.

I probably should’ve done this post yesterday but ah well. I finally got round to watching the next Doctor Who ep from season 17 Thursday night, which was City Of Death.

I intended to watch it all in one go, but mum was still up and got invested in it, but was tired so I put the fourth part on Friday.

I definitely say that, if you’ve never seen old Who that this is one of the best episodes to start with. (It wasn’t mine, that was The Five Doctors, which is fun despite being kinda a misnomer.) Why? Because it’s such a fun story.

It’s set in Paris and it’s actually filmed there, which was a first for the series, so you get some nice scenery shots of the Eiffel Tower and various other Parisian landmarks. (It does make me wanna go there again, I did go as a kid but mostly to Disneyland and so didn’t remember much of Paris itself.) They end up stumbling on a plot to steal the Mona Lisa, which in turn is part of an even greater plot.

The main villain of the piece is Count Scarlioni, who is one of the best villains. Not only is there something fun about him, how he acts and dresses, but there’s also something tragic about about him. (Especially after watching new Who when the doctor is also the last of his kind.) Really all he wants to do is save his people, albeit in kinda an elaborate way.

And then there’s Duggan, who ends up tagging along with the Doctor and Romana during the story who is funny in a different way. He just kinda blunders about and punches people. It makes you wonder how on Earth he managed to be a detective.

And then the tardis manages to take the Doctor where he wants to go…. Not once, but twice, which is another completely wild thing.

But yeah it’s such a fun ep and I suspect it’ll be the favourite of the season. Everything just comes together so well for it, the acting, the guest stars, the story, everything just comes together.

Next time is gonna be Creature From The Pit which I remember… nothing about. Ok I remember one thing, from an ep of a insert Name Here which showed one of the creatures from it which…

Other than that the past few days have been annoyingly low energy, which has led to me being blocked and unable to do things which is annoying. Bleh.

It’s been especially so with uni stuff which I’ve not felt able to focus on annoyingly. Although there was a video about the oceans to watch… narrated by Sigourney Weaver, which gave me flashbacks to Finding Dory

But there was a Wilbur stream yesterday, yay! And Dream uploaded a short lore video which I watched yesterday morning too which was very… Unf. Punz and Dream killing people over and over to test the revival book? Unf. Though it does raise further questions as much as it answers. (I really do need to watch more of the other lore videos)

And there was the last Father Brown of the series which, yay, had the gang all there together! And finally seeing Lady Felicia’s husband. Though I kinda hoped she’d have left him but no he decides to be honourable.

I have done one more badge on Pokemon so next is the team galactic hq (and I need to find all the rock climbing points I’ve missed). And I tried super Lucky’s Tale which is pretty fun so far, with cute little things.

I’m hoping tonight to watch Eternals, which I’ve not seen yet and then either watch Who special features or start Archive 81 on Netflix, which looks like it’ll be pretty spooky.

(And unrelated, but can Boris just resign now. In fact all the Tories should, they’ve proven how vile they are and this should be what finishes them. Although I somehow doubt it)

So like I mentioned yesterday we had snow during the night which made things a bit treacherous. However it was magical seeing the snow come down last night. It’s so pretty.

Though it does make me miss Danny, our pup before Naryu. He’d go crazy for snow, he’d roll about in it and come back in looking like a sheep! It was so cute. I hope he’s having fun in it wherever he is.

Last night there was a Quackity stream (which semi inspired the fic earlier) and it was so good and gave me feels. What happened with Slimecicle/Charlie was Not Okay, nor was Karl being a jerk to Quackity. Poor Sapnap wanting to patch things up. The Las Nevadas merch Quackity has did looks so cool, though I suspect it’s gonna be gone before I can get any. I really wanna know how he got Grant Kirkhope to do the theme because that was so cool!

I’m also glad that some of peoples predictions didn’t come to pass, though with what happened earlier…

(It’s funny because up until this point the only ‘lore’ of the DreamSMP I’d seen was the end of the L’manburg war on YouTube which culminated in Wilbur practically orgasming as he blew the place to bits)

Today I finally watched Black Widow on Disney+ and… it was ok. Alright that might be pushing it a bit. It had some good bits to it, but mostly it felt… eh. I feel it’s definitely something that I’ll just watch once and never again, which is something I don’t think I’ve said for a Marvel film. Also isn’t it odd how the credits were just… normal. No fancy animation or art or anything.

Then there was Doctor Who Flux so spoilers ahoy in thoughts
