So like I mentioned yesterday we had snow during the night which made things a bit treacherous. However it was magical seeing the snow come down last night. It’s so pretty.
Though it does make me miss Danny, our pup before Naryu. He’d go crazy for snow, he’d roll about in it and come back in looking like a sheep! It was so cute. I hope he’s having fun in it wherever he is.
Last night there was a Quackity stream (which semi inspired the fic earlier) and it was so good and gave me feels. What happened with Slimecicle/Charlie was Not Okay, nor was Karl being a jerk to Quackity. Poor Sapnap wanting to patch things up. The Las Nevadas merch Quackity has did looks so cool, though I suspect it’s gonna be gone before I can get any. I really wanna know how he got Grant Kirkhope to do the theme because that was so cool!
I’m also glad that some of peoples predictions didn’t come to pass, though with what happened earlier…
(It’s funny because up until this point the only ‘lore’ of the DreamSMP I’d seen was the end of the L’manburg war on YouTube which culminated in Wilbur practically orgasming as he blew the place to bits)
Today I finally watched Black Widow on Disney+ and… it was ok. Alright that might be pushing it a bit. It had some good bits to it, but mostly it felt… eh. I feel it’s definitely something that I’ll just watch once and never again, which is something I don’t think I’ve said for a Marvel film. Also isn’t it odd how the credits were just… normal. No fancy animation or art or anything.
Then there was Doctor Who Flux so spoilers ahoy in thoughts
It was again a split episode with the main threads being the Doctor, her companions and the grand serpent.
Firstly the Doctor’s part, which started with her as an angel, although that seemed to be a ‘conversion’. The whole place with them was creepy, especially since they were still. Then she was taken to Division, where there was an Ood (yay Ood!) and the lady who she saw a few eps back. I guessed five seconds before the reveal who it turned out to be. The division actually being in a division was a nice touch I thought, though them creating the flux because of the Doctor just seemed… odd. (And why are Swarm and Azure there?)
The companions (and Jericho!) we’re stuck back in time and had been for several years, but it seemed they were able to leave the village and go exploring, looking for if anyone predicted what was happening. It was an interesting plot and nice to see them do stuff, although it was a bit… every scene being in a different place. But at least that Victorian guy is semi explained.
And then there was the grand serpent, for some reason messing with UNIT. It makes sense that UNIt wasn’t around in Resolution because someone screwed it up. And yay for Kate standing up to him, though boo her losing her house. It seems she has more to do next week though. But why is the Sepent working for the Sontarans? Who, surprise! Are back
It feels like next week has a lot to resolve and how well it does it will depend on how the who series has been. It does look like there’ll be a cool fight though. Sontarans, Cybermen and Daleks?
More lore was teased for the DreamSMP and that happened tonight. One thing that had been predicted for Quackity’s stream happened in this one: Dream’s escape. Unlike Quackity’s, which was just one stream of his, this had several people (at least three) so it’ll be interesting seeing what happened in the others. (I might watch one in a few after Maxx’s stream).
The one I watched was Sapnap’s, which at first seemed like just him and a few people messing around and being silly but then the Dream was broken out of prison and the assembled people tried, unsuccessfully, to stop him. And then Sapnap decided to guard Dream’s armour so he wouldn’t get it, but that kinda backfired as now it’s placed a target on Sapnap’s back and his kingdom (something Karl pointed out)
The other streams were Technoblade doing the actual prison break and Tommy, who got terrorised by Dream and then decided to fortify his place.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens. I dunno if there’s a schedule or anything, but hopefully I’ll be able to watch the rest.
Kill The Lights tour dates are up, including a date in Birmingham yay! So I’ll try and go to that one.

Date: 2021-11-29 08:55 am (UTC)That's a shame you didn't like Black Widow more, I enjoyed her family and discovering her background. The end credit scene still makes me think, noooo! when I remember it, too.

Date: 2021-12-01 03:58 pm (UTC)Yeah it was nice to see the family dynamic, I think it might’ve been better if it had been released earlier? After all the film is set…. What? 5+ films back, and I think the foregone conclusion of Nat being gone meant going back felt odd.
Yeah that was interesting! It makes me glad I’ve watched it before Hawkeye cause I’m sure it will show up there (or maybe has already? I’ve not started it yet)
