You know, it really is remarkable (in the bad sense) how twitter has been screwed up by Elon. Between the rise of hate speech, firing an insane amount of staff, the failure that was twitter blue and now I’m hearing private tweets aren’t private. How can you fuck something up so quick? (And how is this guy a buisness man?)

I’m sticking it out over there, mostly cause update accounts and such are still there, and it’s likely things will return to ‘normal’ soon. I’ve just got a Mastodon though and it’s here not that I know what I’m doing.

Anyway, yesterday we went to town to see Black Panther. We didn’t do too much in town otherwise (we had a little look around in a few places though) and then watched the film. There were a few good trailers, Spirited looks fun, Strange Worlds looks pretty and the new Ant Man looks like it’ll be pretty good.

As for Black Panther I’m not gonna say too much about it, but it was pretty good, although obviously it was also pretty sad. Of course the costume department did an awesome job, because so many of the Wakandan outfits were so pretty. And I’m glad with how the resolution turned out.

I was back in time for the early lore stream which, combined with Fridays was a lot. I definitely need more Punz content, because damn he was pretty hot. And Fridays one played out in parts like a horror film. The last one is tonight (at least of Tommy’s I think there’s a few other ones soon) but I’m definitely curious how it plays out.

Then there was MCC, I first followed the raid from Tommy to Ranboo and damn, he was dressed as Rosalina and wearing a dress that showed off his shoulders which was pretty hot. I ended up switching from him though to watch James, to see if he had a breakdown which… he didn’t. He did pretty well for his first time (he got 34th and his team 8th) and he was fun to watch too, plus he had Ash there with him which was sweet (and he had calls from like, 5 people.)

I didn’t do too much after that, I watched some of Eret playing Subnautica (and finally tried the paprika Doritos which are… ok but not something I’ll have again) and then I went up to bed.

Today is Addam’s Family Values later on, then the lore stream and then… I dunno. I might do Ooblets for the Halloween thing and more splatoon for the Pokémon splatfest.

I’m hoping to work on the uni assessment tomorrow (I’ve had… no luck working on it at all) and then I wanna try and do a few things this week before pokemon comes. It feels I’ve been so swamped with things that there’s just been… no time.

*Do more of the Pokémon Legends story, hopefully to finish it
*Maybe do Once Upon A Jester
*Get more levels on Fortnite for the bonus battle pass
*Start the New Dragon Prince eps
*Watch more Sandman
*Watch Ghostwatch
*Fic maybe
*Read some fic
*Find the Lego Star Wars game disc (it so bothers me it’s awol)
*Finally do the character sheet for that mini dnd thing, which feels like it’s so delayed now it might not happen
*Read and fill in one other form

I’m sure there’s something else.

I'm staying with the bird app for the time being for one reason, and that's my curated list of local weathercasters and National Weather Service notifications. I live in tornado country and the weathercasters do an excellent job of real time updates; this up to the minute information literally saves lives. I consider that list an important adjunct to my dedicated weather apps. I really hope Twitter doesn't completely die because it's uniquely situated to provide real-time information and alerts even better than, say, a television (which I don't own). I've seen people in fire country say the same thing.

Oh that’s a very good reason! Yeah if one thing twitter is good at it’s up to date updates of things so of course it’s very useful for things like that💜

Gave you a follow on masto (yuuana@wandering.shop -- went with that instance cuz writing peeps kept suggesting it), but I'm still moving in myself. This whole Twitter mess would be a lot funnier if it wasn't ruining so much shit and if I thought for even half a second the jackhole responsible would face any significant consequences or even, gasp, LEARN something from it besides how to use the losses to game the tax system even more.

Yeah it’s such a complete mess. I really hate Elon especially since he’ll learn nothing. He’ll just screw things up until it gets so unworkable, he gets bored or someone ousts him.

Thank! The assessment is so… ugh. I honestly can’t understand most of it, so I’ll probably spend 3 hours on it (2 likely just staring at the screen) then giving up and submitting it

I haven't heard that particular rumor about the private messages no longer being private, but it would not surprise me. OR if they decided to make that another paid service or something. Ugh.

From what I heard it was just tweets not messages…but it wouldn’t surprise me especially when some people were fired and locked out while actively working on code

I did enjoy Wakanda Forever, but you're right, it is sad.

The new Ant Man looks good, it was great to see the trailer and see the direction they're going in.
