This is my Masterpost for my fic here on dreamwidth. Most of my stuff now is posted here (though I sometimes also post on ao3 or Rockfic). For my lj stuff, here is a list that probably needs majorly updating.
My Ao3 is here

So there it is, stuff with a 🔒 is stuff that’s friends list only and likely won’t be reopened, but, going forward, not much will be like that. My older stuff is still locked as well, but that might just be temporary.

Snowflake challenge 2024 - Day 1
Sticky: Jan. 1st, 2024 06:56 pmChallenge #1
In your own space, update your fandom information. Post your answer to today’s challenge in your own space and leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
So it’s time for snowflake again already which seems strange because last year feels like not long ago (and also forever ago at the same time?). So happy new year snowflake people!
This post is now gonna be the new sticky post replacing the one from two years ago (why didn’t I replace it last year? Who knows!)
I’m Stuie, I’m 37 (which is very much what the fuck) and I live in the Uk. Currently I’m a student with the Open University, studying Renewable Energy which should be the last course of my degree (probably won’t be I don’t feel I’m doing well). I have anxiety and depression and probably other things, but we’ll see if I’m able to get better diagnosis and meds this year.
Anyway! Fandom things. I love Star Wars, The Legend Of Zelda and Doctor Who. The latter of which I post about whenever I watch episodes (be it new eps on tv or whenever I watch the collection boxsets, which are awesome).
I also game a lot, currently I’m working on Super Mario Wonder, Tears Of The Kingdom and I’ve recently started Jedi Survivor and Baldur’s Gate 3. Though I also play a bunch of other stuff too, Dead By Daylight, Dreamlight Valley, Elder Scrolls and a bunch of pad games (including Star Trek Timelines, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Cats Are Cute and Pokémon Masters).
However one thing I’ve ended up getting into are watching streamers. I watch QSMP streamers from time to time but I also often watch James Marriott (and his drummer Jago), Seapeekay, Shoto and a bunch of other generally unhinged and pretty streamer guys. (And I need to do an updated posted on them for people)
I used to like bandom stuff, though because of the various fandoms being awful it left a sour taste. I still like a variety of bands, currently that’s a mix of James Marriott, Set It Off, Sleep Token, Weathers, Lovejoy and Waterparks among others. And Atreyu, which is a rabbit hole I’ve very much fell down.
In general I post random nonsense, but I also do posts about Doctor Who and other things I watch (who is the main one I get into detail on though I wanna do more posts on other things).
I post fic, mostly on here, which mostly rpf nsfw (usually with streamers or bands) though I really need to get back to posting on ao3. I’ve kept meaning to but I’ve generally failed.
I’m very sure that I’ve missed something, but who knows.
Feel free to add me if any of that seems interesting, one thing I like about snowflake is making new connections so I hope to make some again this year. I try and be nice and friendly with people as best I can.
Hope you’re all having a nice new year.
I end with two pictures of my cat, because cats are cute (and she’s curled on my snoring now

100 Fic table
Sticky: Jan. 9th, 2025 12:32 amOk so one thing I wanted to do is to do a new fic table thing (based partly on
carrythefire’s one. It was originally gonna be 30 but has somehow (especially tonight) ballooned to 80 oops.
My intent is not to start on it for awhile. I wanna finish my current main 5 fics and a few others (looking at you Slam Dunk fic and a few others so the first fic for this might not be till Febuary, but I want this to be a long term thing anyway.
Anywhere here it is (and damn the coding was a slog).

It’s that time again, time for another monthly round up.
May felt like a weird month cause in some ways it was busy and some ways it wasn’t.
I got back into Night Valr in a big way, listening to a lot of it and it’s really funny how the end bits with Meg have gone, like you can hear the moment twitter started to get worse when it’s mentioned. The next eps I fear may end up being stalled though cause ugh Lauren is back. Bu the Vermillion Falls ep was really good I hope we hear from that place again.
Also there was the last eps of Andor and, again, it was honestly some of the best stuff I’ve seen. I definitely recommend it, even if you don’t know much Star Wars because it was just… so good.
As was The Residence albeit the tone of that is the other end of the scale. I feel those will be the best two series I’ll see this year. i also finally got back to Stranger Things so now there’s just the finale which I keep putting back cause my energy and eyes get so achy it’s annoying.
That lack of energy/eyes aching also meant I didn’t finish the last of the Who ray special features so I could disc switch to other things. There’s like 3 things left but they’re all over an hour.
Once again with Free Comic Book Day I intend to read all of them and only magnate one which sucks. Hopefully I can take a day and just do a read through. (I did find past comic book day issues too which I’ve also not read oop). Same with graphic novels, I intend to read the one I picked up but nope.
I feel that’s the main things I wanna mention though, but obvious there’s a lot of other stuff I’ve done and not mentioned (like binge watching the Dark Divine videos one morning when I woke early from the weather).
Plans for stuff this month
*Finish at least one fic
*Finish Stranger Things
*Start Wednesday
*Finally get back to American Horror Story
*Finish Who ray special features
*Watch one of the Arrow blu rays, possibly Lifeforce
***
Other things! Coheed And Cambria have announced a tour, a few days before my birthday so I’m considering trying to go and then I checked the tickets on the presale and… damn. Why’re they £45? I hate how tickets are so much now. Hopefully they won’t sell out before I can get one.
I had an email saying there’s a follow-up to I Want That Twink Obliterated titled Wrath month so I might back that kickstarter, despite not reading that cause I’m a fail. I know someone had got Obliterated that’s here but I’m hopeless and can’t recall who.
Odeon has Clown In A Cornfield from Friday but damn. It’s release week just has onemlate night showing so I doubt it’ll be there when I’m in Birmingham like I hoped. Damnit.
The router lead has been a real pain today, cutting out for most of the morning which has been so irritating, the replacement should hopefully arrive tomorrow and I’ll be glad for that.
Now though gonna sort noms, then hopefully fic and watch stuff. Maybe I’ll watch something tonight but again, it depends on energy and my eyes (the sooner I get an eye test notification the better). And then tomorrow it’s waiting on mail.

Jun. 2nd, 2025 10:18 amWell it’s now June, so happy pride month!
(Monthly round up for May coming later or tomorrow)
My first day of the month ended up being… ughhhhh.
First off I’m still thinking about Doctor Who and how much of a disaster that finale was (and if you engage me on it be warmpned you’ll get an unskippable cut scene about it). Like it genuinely bothers me so much. I 5ink the last time I was bothered anywhere this close was Episode IX and this had SO many more issues (I made a list and stopped at 13 because fuck)
(Although now I’ve mentioned Episode IX I’m thinking of all those flaws too damnit)
But anyway back to yesterday. I had a restless night so that didn’t improve my mood and I just wanted to walk the pup and get some air. But nope, that wasn’t on the cards because mum was moody too, then she went and did things I explicitly told her not to (her hip has been playing up again and she messed around with stuff unattended, complained I didn’t help her despite not telling me she was doing anything and just generally riling me up). So that fucked my mood more.
Then as we, finally, went left the to walk the pup the router lead got caught and completely ripped out of the socket. So when I came back I had to try and find a replacement, I was sure I’d gotten a backup router lead when we last had issues but could I find it? Nope. So instead I had to use an old one instead…
Then when I came upstairs after food (earlier than usually but I just couldn’t be bothered)mum had a call from her friend (up the one from Saturday) and she wanted ANOTHER bag she’d seen.p while she was here out of nowhere and expected us to do it. And of course it wasn’t something on a store but eBay o it couldn’t wait for the money and had to be done right then and just.l. Argh why is she like this? Thankfully I’d checked mums money and there was enough to cover it but fucking hell.
And then as soon as I did that the router lead, which had seemed fine, started acting up and died. This was like 10 minutes before dnd so I had to find another one to replace it (having bad luck with the first) and waiting to see if the connection would hold before rep lately joining.
There were some good things about yesterday, the aforementioned DND and Death Valley was really good, as was the penultimate ep of Code Of Silence, but ugh.
Oh and there was the Frankenstein trailer with Ossac Isaac that looks SO good too.
Here’s hoping that this week will be a blank slate to be better though who knows?

So today has been a day of two halves.
As predicted mum’s friend wanted to get something, but thankfully it was early so I could zoom to down and come back (while also getting some stuff from Iceland, headache meds and an Agatha Christie book from a charity shop).
That meant I was back home in time for lunch and then could squirrel myself away for the twitch con No Dice panel. I expected it to be just a look back on the show which was fr the first half and then… well I’ll get to that. Was was funny was Krow was serving in its outfit, Bek and Aimsey looked nice, Owen had a slutty crop top and then there was Tubbo all in green which was ridiculous.
They played clips from the show which was fun to see all the mentions of various things (like Gwen dying constantly) but then Owen reminded us of how inconclusive the ending was… so they were going to do an actual ending! It was so cool getting everyone to play their characters in a renewed timeline and it was so funny (especially Tubbo playing both of his characters talking to each other). And then when everyone got togetlher some started to remember the events of the story (and ahhh there was a Zee/Martin moment which made me squee) and then there was an actual ending with fancy art that I hope they post. It was so incredible and awesome.
When I came down we took Naryu for a little walk and then I made notes for a fic idea (it’s one that needs a bit of planning) and then did a lil to the fic I’m working on….
But then there was the Doctor Who season finale, which I knew would be a distraction. And it was, but now in the aftermath it feels my creative energy has gone. Which, judging by that and the subject of the post? You can probably get the vibe of my thoughts on the ep.
But if you wanna know them in detail it’s behind the cut and, as it’s a season finale, it’s spoilery.

May. 29th, 2025 10:16 pmSo I found out the other day that is was pride in Birmingham last weekend. I swear every year I only find out that it’s happening either on the day or the days after (then say I’ll go next year and the cycle repeats). Not that I could have gone this time anyway cause the time anyway but still…
The last few days my focus has been off again and I blame the weather. It’s switched from being warm and sunny (like the recent weeks) to now being rainy and yet muggy. It’s made my head and eyes a bit achy which has been annoying.
That’s not been helped either cause I had a major downswing last week and while it’s mostly faded the depression vibes still comes back in brief waves.
But anyway, better things. Tuesday I listened to a Who audio, The Chimes of Midnight which I expected to be a spooky murder mystery from the description but it was actually a very strange timey wimey thing. It was funny that one of the clues something was wrong was someone mention the Seven Dials Mystery (which is the book I’m reading and I read some earlier)
Speaking of Agatha on last nights thing about her travels, the one with David Suchet, he was reading from her second book and it was from the collection I’ve been getting. It was recognisable cause of the cover and I even looked it up on player to confirm it. It makes me glad I’ve got that one too so I’ll have to read it soon.
Mum had a call yesterday and, ugh her friend is coming again. She called last week to come on Saturday and didn’t say why she wanted to come with little notice, but cancelled causa being sick. Now she’s coming again this week but, again didn’t say why.
That makes me think she expects us to order something for her which is always stressful and means I have to rush to the bank, up which I don’t particularly want to do generally but especially this week.
And here I was thinking we’d have a quiet weekend. Ugh.
Anyway gonna watch the second Horne Section tv show, then watch Horrors Greatest then probably snuggle.mand try and fic (and I am considering adding more prompts to the prompt table because of course I am).

Tables don’t work like that
May. 26th, 2025 04:30 pmSo in the last non fic post I hoped I’d watch the last Stranger Things but that didn’t happen. It’s not happened partly because of tiredness/eyes aching, feeling flop causa the weather and speedrunning the ESO quests for the free reward (of a fancy house). So hopefully I’m gonna watch it this week most likely tomorrow.
But also yay I did actually manage to do some ficcing at last which was unexpected but at least it’s something (and I am pleased how it’s worked out).
The last few days haven’t been too exciting though, bar watching various things on tv. Good things have been a travel documentary with David Suchet where he follows Agatha Christie’s travels, Walking With Dinosaurs (with a cute lil triceratops) and Death Valley which was a fun new detective thing. And also I’ve been back to listening to a bunch of Night Vale eps too which has been fun.
Mums friend was meant to be coming Saturday which was a concern (especially cause it was a last minute thing) but she also cancelled last minute so thst was good.
Saturday was spent sidetracked by Wallace And Gromit (and Shaun The Sheep) on bbc1. It’s funny to have found out that the mention of Wensleydale in A Close Shave actually ended up saving the company (which was close to closing). The Shaun the sheep ep was a fun lil multiverse one and then there was Vengeance Most Fowl which I still say is one of last year’s best films cause it’s so funny. (And Feathers McGraw manages to be an amazing villian despite having no lines.)
Sunday ended up being one of those weird low energy Sundays, which was annoying but at least there was a good tv.
Then today I had to run down and take back one of the things mum picked up last week (which didn’t fit) and pick something up but it was tiring and I got hit with rain ugh. But at least I got a cool mandalorian mystery mini (of Bo Katan) and aldi had the nice mayonnaise I’ve been missing.
(As always I’m sure I’m missing something I meant to say but…)
And now the, slightly belated, thoughts on Doctor Who, Wish Wirld.

Also I’ve got a £5 Amazon prime video credit randomly so does anyone have any recs?
Pairing: Anthony Martinez/Lucas Woodland

Warnings: rubber verse (although there’s no actual rubber in this one, funnily
Notes: Companion to the Black Is The New Black, this was meant to be one part but it kinda got away from me, oops!

Black Is The New Black
May. 23rd, 2025 10:04 pmBlack Is The New Black
Pairing: Matt Davies-Kreye, Lucas Woodland
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Rubber, mindbreak
Notes: So I had hoped, as always, to get one of the main WIPs out. Indeed it was an intent to get a prompt fic out. However between a certain someone reading through the rubber fics and giving me a suggestion I’m back with a whole new fic (as if I needed more!) but I’d always intended to do more of the ‘rubber verse’ although this wasn’t what I thought I would do.
This is set late 2023 (and I really need to find a pic of Matt but can’t find one quickly). A companion fic is coming too and will probably be the next thing before I go back to the prompts

Dugga Dugga doo!
May. 21st, 2025 02:58 pmThe rest of Sunday ended up being kinda fuzzy, mostly due to the warm and having cider during Rogue One so my focus was a lil off. (And then my laptop was all ‘update! There’s an update!’ During dungeons and dodongos which was an annoyance)
In the night I started Code Of Silence which was pretty good. Then I watched the Quatermass Experiment cause I saw it on Amazon prime and I’d seen it mentioned a lot of the last Who boxset. It did start pretty promising (and had someone I recognised from the Marple films) though damn it did lose something as it went on.
I found it funny that the wife of the surviving astronaut complained he was being tested on in the lab, wanted him in the hospital to get treated instead and the almost immediately plotted to get him out of there to take him home. Like girl what are you even doing??
Monday was uneventful for the most part (other than fic reading woo!)ut I did unlock General Grievous on Fortnite, yay! He looks so cool! I also won a code for Shovel Knight dig, which I had a go on last night and I can tell it’s one of those games that’s gonna be tricky as hell to get through but it should be fun to do some runs.
Tuesday I was at the library to cover Joy, but I mostly just read the Seven Dials Mystery some more (and there’s already been another body!). I love that Lord Catterham is back from Chimneys, there’s something so funny about him and how he’s despairing about everything. I might read more after this post
There was an announcement that James Marriott was gonna be doing a signing tour for his album, which made me glad I’d held off getting it. After a scare (the site said tickets were unavailable😭) I did manage to get it so I’ll be off to the Birmingham date, yay! I got the cd, though I might get the vinyl on the day too.
Last night after A LOT of delays, I was finally able to get back to Stranger Things, yippe! Annoyingly I misclicked and so skipped the previously (which would’ve been a helpful reminder but I couldn’t seem to get it back) again it was essentially four plot lines (until two of them came together right at the end).
First the simplest, the boys in the van trying to find Eleven, which felt like it would be more comic relief until Will and Mike’s talk which was so obviously Will saying how he really felt to Mike only substituting Eleven’s name. I just wanted to give him a hug.
Then there was Hopper, Murray and Joyce escaping the Russian prison which had a creepy moment of them in a lab with Demogorgon’s in tubes which gave me vibes of Alien Resurrection (which also had Winona in so surely it was intentional). I did half expect the glasses to smash though.
Then there was Eleven dealing with her past memories and the doctors messing her up and trying to stop her from going. Like her ‘Papa’ (I’ve forgot his name) is such an ass trying to control her, threatening Owen’s, drugging her and then trying to get her to forgive him as he’s dying. I’m glad she didn’t.
Then there’s everyone else back in Hawkins. Damn that sportsball captain is such a dick intimidating Nancy like that. I think she should have hit him with hammers (or shot him since she had a gun).I feel their whole plane is gonna go so wrong though, like they just think they can walk up to Vecna in a trance and kill him. Nah that ain’t happening at all is it?
But also! EDDIE WHY DID YOU CALL STEVE BIG BOY? Like he is so absolutely blatant about wanting him damn. I love that for him though.
I do wanna see what happens (though how everyone is gonna get back to Hawkins to be of any use feels doubtful!) so I hope I’ll get to see it the next few days. The only issue is the length of the finale is over 2 hours so my focus has to be good for it. (So it might be Thursday or a Friday)
Today we went down the road to pick mum’s meds up. I had just hoped to go slow to make it quick but no, mum wanted to go to cause Sainsburys clothes had a sale on which… ugh ended up being so annoying. At least I got some cheap things and the Lego Star Wars magazine I was hoping to get and mum’s friend was there and offered us a ride home.
When we got back the new Doctor Who magazine was here, which came with a free book of Ghe Wheel In Soace which I might have to read cause the ep hasn’t been released cause it’s missing. I just read the preview of the finale eps which didn’t reveal much (there’s not even a cast list!) but the synopsis is what I’ve seen people theorising).
After lunch a storm rolled in with heavy rain and thunder, but sadly it didn’t last too long which is a shame.
Tonight’s plan is the new series of The Chelsea Detective, an Agatha Christie thing (with David Suchet!) and then it depends how tired I am.

To remind us of the world that we lost
May. 18th, 2025 11:44 pmPost time! Mostly Who related cause oh boy that was a lot.
Friday night I finished the second Classic Doctors New Monsters 2 with Day Of The Vashta Nerada which may be my fav of the four stories. It’s an Eighth Doctor story and the audios of him always make me sad he never got a full televised series. But this was such a great story obviously it’s inspired by Jurassic park (one of the guys even has a name similar to Nedry).
Also yesterday I finished the year of Night Vale I was listening too and damn, I’m so glad that the university of what it is arc is over cause I hated Doctor Lubelle (even more so in those last ep) but damn her fate felt so fitting and so satisfying.
The rest of the day was spent distracting myself by watching Murder She Wrote and playing fortnite and generally avoiding the internet causa spoilers cause we get major warnings that something was going down.
Thoughts on the Doctor Who ep, The Interstellar Song contest which despite the name is not the fun camp ep you might expect. (And there’s gonna be major spoilers cause it’s an ep that, again surprisingly, has some)
After that I watched the actual song contest and, like before it was good but felt… I dunno. And then there was the end were Isreal somehow came second and it’s obvious that it’s down to Zionists just voting en masse and rigging the system. Thankfully they didn’t win and Austria did but it’s still disappointing both they were there and people were giving then 12’s.
Bleh.
Today I watched Rogue One which I wanted to do after Andor, as many others have cause it’s the number 1 film on Disney+ right now. And damn the whole thing is so good but I’m surprised how many things just.l. Gave me extra feels this time. It wasn’t just the scenes with Cassian (especially the last one), it was Galen’s message, it was the sense that so much was sacrificed to get to this point. And also that Krennic had a very bad not good few days with leaks and how he ended up screwed over just like Dedra did. (And damn him saying ‘Who are you?’ too)
Now it’s time to poke the laptop before dnd and then… who knows?

Beyond our understanding
May. 15th, 2025 03:07 pmSo after the last post the trip to get superglue was successful (despite almost losing my glasses lens in nettles on the way). The glue worked and has held since them, yipee! So I shouldn’t have it break (at least like that) again for awhile. And if I do, hey I’ve got superglue.
I went in the Game in the Sports Direct while I was down there and it was so odd. There weren’t prices on 90% of the things which was an odd choice. They didn’t have what I saw in the site anyway but it did feel so off putting.
That night I watched the first Eurovision semi final and it was pretty good, though it was a shame Croatia didn’t get through (it was one of the better songs) and my focus did get a bit off. The second semi final is tonight and we vote in it, so I’m gonna vote on… something and hope Isreal don’t get through.
Yesterday ended up being a town trip, but ugh beforehand was so stressful. Mum started an argument and we missed two of the earlier buses which was annoying and I almost didn’t go.
The trip was mostly to use a voucher at Lindt at the outlet store and we did that, getting some of the raspberry (which I’ve not tried) and pistachio boxes (plus two discounted things). But can someone explain what the deal is with ‘Dubai chocolate’ like what is that and why’s a bar of it twice the price (£10 compared to £4.50) of other bars?
The outlet other than that was a bit eh, I was unfocussed from the argument (and there’s not much there anyway) but at least we got churros. (And on the bus I started last months read Christie, the seven dials mystery.)
In town I got SFX from Morrisons (it’s a halfway to Halloween special) and the Lego Plum Blossom from B and M (which looks so pretty) and some cans of Stranegr Things drink which I’ll have when I (finally) finish season 4. (I promise I’ll get there!)
I came back, built some of the blossom, then went back to town for the cinema to see Sinners. (Thoughts under the cut)
On the way back I spotted that there’s gonna be a horror market thing in town and I’m so intriguing but at the same time the timing is so bad. Like why’s it on a Sunday and in a few weeks? Apparently there is another one later in the year but not till just before my birthday. Maybe I’ll go visit it.
When I got back I just flopped and listened to a Who audio (The Carrionite Curse which was pretty good and all about using the power of a paradox to cause trouble) and then just flopped.
Today we went to see the ducks and while there were only three ducklings about (and one coot) there were new baby geese! There were five of them and they got really close and they were so smol and fluffy. Pics of the cuties are here
Then there was the last Andor eps and… damn. While it felt a tad subdued (theres no massacre or great space battle or anything) it did feel like a fitting culmination of the season and the series as a whole. So many people meet their fates and so much is set in motion for the events of Rogue One (which I’ll be watching again this weekend!)
And damn those last scenes…
I’m just glad some of my favs made it to the end and there weee so many amazing performances. I really hope it wins all the awards. (It has to win costume and actress awards surely)
(And I’m glad the black series Vel I got arrived in time for it. But now I do kinda want the new u-wing at some point.)
Now though I’m gonna flop a bit cause I’m tired for being out all day yesterday.

Will you halt this eclipse in me
May. 13th, 2025 09:07 amIt’s that time again for a post and the last few days have been pretty busy.
(And once again I will refrain on commenting on politics but just know I’m absolutely fuming about how this Labour government keeps managing to get worse. Like it feels there’s no bottom for them and feels their promised change is a change for the worse. Ugh)
Friday was the release of new Sleep Token with Even In Arcadia. It’s really good and my favs are, other than Emergence, Look To Windward and Dangerous. (I now also picture Mon Mothma during a section of Caramel for some reason.)
Also band stuff it is funny Matt Tuck of Bullet has apparently pushed his ego too far and fucked up the joint Trivium they were doing. It’s funny seeing the scathing stuff about him but damn I do feel bad for my boy Jay.
Saturday I woke up and… my glasses were broken. The frame around one of the lenses is broken which means the lens is loose and liable to pop out. I must’ve rolled onto them in the night or something. I’ve used tape to hold it together which does work but ugh, I’m gonna see if I can get superglue today. I could get them fixed but I fear the expense and also feel I’m due an eye test this year so it’d be pointless.
Mum’s friend didn’t need anything when she came which was good and, after some consideration I ended up going to town anyway under my own steam. I didn’t do too much, just getting a few things mum wanted (and a cute lil Lego set with Guinea pigs that was reduced).
However the main reason I went was to see Thunderbolts* so thoughts under the cut.
That night was also new Who and my focus was a little off so I don’t think I enjoyed it was much as I could have (I blame going out and the annoying heat!) though it was good to see the fugitive doctor briefly (thoughI wish it hadn’t been spoiled for me😒 I hate it going to iplayer in the morning instead of on the showing). And I did love how it was showing the doctor relating to his new blackness (and his lil moment with Belinda understanding was so sweet).
It did feel though that it relied too much on things that we didn’t see before. Like there were multiple references to things the doctor did in offscreen adventures which did feel a lil much. But other than that it was good. I have liked that this season has been a wild variety of things though it does make me sad it’s almost over (though yay this week is the Interstellar Song Contest!)
Speaking of it does feel odd that Eurovision feels a bit… I dunno subdued kinda? Like if it wasn’t for Doctor Who having that ep the same day I feel I wouldn’t have known it was so close. (It’s only in the past few days I’ve even seen ads for it.)
But circling back to who I also listened to a Who audio with the Empire Of Racnoss andit was… it was ok, but I just don’t like the Racnoss in general so it is what it is. But it was funny the empress was voiced by the actress who plays Martha’s mum.
(Also I have been listening to Night Vale and damn I’m hoping the university of what it is people fuck off soon cause ugh.)
Sunday I watched the second half of Tales Of The Underworld and the tone is so different to the first half. It feels the Cad Bane half tells a more complete story but at the same time it’s kinda… eh? I definitely preferred the Ventress half.
Yesterday I finished the Secret Of Chimneys. I’ve been chipping away at it doing a chapter or two at a time but I ended up locking in yesterday and read half. I definitely didn’t see the ending coming and there were a lot of twists and red herrings so it was really good.
But damn there were still so many issues and typos with this printing. (And it makes me wonder if, at the time, they sent out redone ones). Like it didn’t really stop me enjoying it, though did take me out when punctuation was wrong, but in one of the last chapters a page was printed twice. I’m really hoping it’s a one off issue with this book and not something that plagued the collection cause I’ve got a load of the books now (this was just the first one I read)
And now the gaming portion of the post.
*I finished Planet of Lana before it left Game Pass, yay! It is a very pretty though it is pretty open to interpretation. Still it was good and mui is so adorable
*I went on Lego Star Wars and finished the events on the planets (Coruscant was the last planet I needed to do) so that was two more achievements ticked off. I still need to play through the levels on free play (despite it being years old only Episode I is 100%) so maybe I’ll do that? But I do wanna do other SW games too
*I did a free days on Blue Prince, I still feel I’ve not got anywhere really but I unlocked the foundation, gemstone cave, grotto and got the boiler working
*I finally went back on Alan Wake 2 and finished the Casey chapter so maybe I’ll do some more
*I also used my Xbox credit to get the Dredge expansions, cause a pass for them was on sale (and I had xbox credit) and I’ve still not been on it.
I had been hoping to watch Sinners last night, but the cinema inexplicably had no showings of anything (I’m sure it had listening Saturday but when I checked yesterday afternoon there were none). The listings has been updated to how Thursday is the last showing so I’m hoping to see it tomorrow so fingers crossed!
Next few days the plan is this
*Sinners
*Work on (and hopefully finish) fic
*Do some gaming, maybe Alan Wake 2, maybe Star Wars
*Stranger Things (I still need to watch those last two eps)
*watch something spooky
*Finish the Who ray special features
*Grievous quests on Fortnite (when they’re live later in the week)
*icon organise
I’m sure I’m missing something super obvious too.
But for now I’m gonna zoom down to home bargains in search of super glue (I didn’t see any in town) and then wait on the food shop,
(And once again I will refrain on commenting on politics but just know I’m absolutely fuming about how this Labour government keeps managing to get worse. Like it feels there’s no bottom for them and feels their promised change is a change for the worse. Ugh)

But for now I’m gonna zoom down to home bargains in search of super glue (I didn’t see any in town) and then wait on the food shop,
Again these past days have been low energy.
I did hope to see Sinners but I was too drained on Tuesday (causa the morning library stint) and yesterday (causa Andor) so I didn’t go. Thankfully it’s on there until next week though, but still at 7pm showings. I might see it Monday or Wednesday depending on energy.
Thunderbolts* has an afternoon showing on Saturday so I could in theory see that then instead. I guess it depends, since mums friend is coming and I fear her being her usual self.
Main thing these past days has been watching two very different shows.
First there was Andorand this weeks episodes were… a lot. This season has been building up to the Ghorman massacre and this week was when it happened. The whole thing was pretty horrific because of course it was, but it hit harder cause we’d spent the last few eps learning about these people and this place, so to see virtually all of them end up dead? It was pretty awful.
But then the following ep had Mon standing in front of the senate calling the the massacre what it was, a genocide, as well as how the narrative of the whole thing was manipulate and truth was lost. Someone posted the speech here.
Like it’s honestly scary how the whole thing is mirroring things happening right now and hoenstly those episodes gave me chills.
Then by contrast I finished The Residence. I watched two episodes Tuesday and would have watched the finale right after but I could feel my eyes going. I did watch it last night and just…
Honestly these two shows are gonna be some of my favs of the year and yet they couldn’t be more different.
The Residence kept me gripped not just cause of the central mystery but because of how utterly bonkers it could be. Like where else would you find Kylie finding a bloodstain? And honestly I love Cordelia so much and I’d love them to do something like this with her again (but honestly, at the same time, I’m not sure if they could top this)
(Possible spoiler thoughts under the cut thought I’ll try and keep things vague)
But yeah if you’re looking for a good murder mystery, in a unique location then definitely check the Residence.
Tonight I’m hoping to finish Planet of Lana before it leaves game pass next week, then I wanna get my brain cell in gear to fic but I might just end up going to doze. Tomorrow is new Sleep Token, though my cd hasn’t even been sent yet and is listed as coming next week😒 and there’s also the second week of Star Wars fortnite (I’m already level 35 mostly in my drive to unlock Poe Dameron)
I end the post with a pic of Midna snugged under a blankie🖤🤍

Revenge of the fifth
May. 5th, 2025 06:04 pmSo Saturday night was new Who time, I’ve not many deep thoughts this time other than the obvious, Conrad is a massive dick. I feel he’s gonna be the one to cause whatever happens in the finale which… I guess we’ll see.
Yesterday was May 4th which was Star Wars day! Before the Star Wars stuff I listened to a Night Vale ep (I am still so far behind but after listening to that it made me wanna listen more so I might try and try and put one ep on day) and we went to see the ducklings! They were further out in the water this time but! There were now a second lot of them! So there’s a group of 8 and a group of 5! They’re so cute!
For Star Wars day I did a bunch of Star Wars things.
*Read the FCBD Star Wars comic: it had three stories, tied to the current series and they were pretty good! It has made me intrigued to check some out which I guess is the main goal
*Fortnite, I used vbucks on the Star Wars music and Lando bundles, plus did a few games as Fennec (who is my main go to). I redeemed the first two battle pass pages so next is Poe yipee!
*I built the Lego Falcon polybag which is cute, though the dish has already gone awol
*unhixed the micro galaxy squadron ships and the scythe annoyingly has a pylon that won’t attach fully
I also watched the first three eps of Tales Of The Underworld, the Ventress arc. It is good to see her again and I liked how she came to befriend Lyco, though it did feel like it’s gonna lead into its own thing (and probably should’ve been). The Cad Bane eps I’ll have to watch another time.
Star Wars day always makes me wanna go on the games, but I didn’t feel I had the energy to go on either Outlaws or Jedi Survivor/Fallen Order last night. Hopefully this week I will though, but Planet of Lana is leaving game pass soon so I might be doing that too. (Or maybe I’ll go back to Lego Star Wars to finish some of the achievements)
It also makes me wanna the films though I’ve not done a run in forever. Maybe I will over the summer though I’m sure when I get to Episode IX my thoughts on it will drive me crazy.
Today I had considered going to see Sinners but, as it’s bank holiday, there’s no buses. I can, in theory, walk both ways but it is tiring and I don’t think I’d be able to. I might go for one of the showings this week which are late ones but at least I’d only walk one way. (Unless it has an afternoon showing Saturday but I don’t see it happening.)
As a result today ended up being a low energy day, with my eyes aching a bit so I just had Seapeekay’s stream on and was on Fortnite on the switch. But at least Midna has returned to snuggles again which is a sign the weather is cooling.
I hope to get some ficcing done this week but my issue up is that my brain has too many thoughts and can’t seem to settle on which to actually get down.
There’s also the usual last night (and this morning) that I just got hit by a random sadness wave which just… lowered my energy even more which… ugh.
But anyway this week is mostly gonna be low energy, there’s library tomorrow (I’ll read secret of chimneys some more), 3 new Andor’s on Wednesday and Sleep Token Friday, then Who Saturday (and mums friend coming ugh). I do wanna watch Stranger Things though not set on a day. Now though gonna snuggle Midna and see what my brain settles on doing.

May. 3rd, 2025 05:37 pmSo today’s been the annual ‘Birmingham trip for free comic book day’ only this time we were going to sea life centre for the animal crossing thing.
It was a bit of a restless night again, I think partly due to the weather which ugh nd then my stomach felt dicey in the morning but thankfully it settled.
On the train I read Secret Of Chimneys some more and damnit we pulled into the station just as a body was discovered. The station was a tad annoying cause we couldn’t get a ticket and then had to go across the Birmingham station to get one.
First Forbidden Planet! There’s two an and they have different approaches to free comic book day. The first one, by the station, lets you pick but only three. The second one gives out bags but they’re random. From the first I got the Star Wars one (once again the dark horse one isn’t here in the uk), Minecraft and Diablo. Diablo was very much a random pick but I’m glad I went with it over Marvel voices which I almost picked (why later). Mum got the Star Wars one again, Fantastic Four and a superman and Batman one (an odd choice). I also got a chainsaw man poster and random bookmark, but possibly my fav thing was they had some Star Wars Unlimited cards and let people have some. They said there wasn’t a limit so I got 19 (I probably should’ve done more the piles were huge) but I’m happy I got Sabine, Krennic, a tie defender and a death trooper.
Also from there I picked up some Star Wars graphic novels, a dark droids one and two high republic adventures cause that was the offer. (I was gonna get the Funko offer but the ones they posted I liked were already gone, though I suspect it was from a different store.’p)
Next stop was The Entertainer. They had a freebie when you spent £20 but there wasn’t anything I liked (and the freebie was only a Funko card game thing). But! They had a Lego make and take with a cool little U-wing! I honestly love it, its wings fold back and it’s so swooshable.
Less good look at the Lego store, the make and take was gone already (of Grogu in a hover pram, which people are already selling for £35 which is crazy) but I did see the new stuff and the U-wing does look nice, as does Chopper.
Next was the game outlet and I got the AC Valhalla expansion on offer. I’ve not been on it in forever so maybe this will give me incentive.
Then there was the other Forbidden Planet. The bags were good hauls and I got a horror comic I wanted(but didn’t see) as well as some others including Godzilla (and marvel voices again). I didn’t get to go down to check on the books like I hoped but I did get micro galaxy squadron ships. They had the Mandalorian’s N-1! And the Scythe from Obi-wan at only a third of the price. I also got a Star Wars unlimited pack but nothing too special was in it (but Krennic’s ship was in it!)
Then it was the trip up to sea life and… ugh it’s a long walk up there which I always forget (it’s by where I saw Sleep Token).
So I’m gonna give Sea Life thoughts in two ways. First on its own merits, then as an Animal Crossing event. Also, I took A Lot of pics so they will be up on insta at some point (maybe later, maybe tomorrow it depends how tired I feel). Before I start the last time I’d been to the sea life was pre covid with Heather which is so long ago😭.
First off though! The penguins were there! The enclosure was closed when I last went (I don’t recall why but it must’ve been short notice cause they offered free tickets but of course covid happened). And ahh! They were so cute waddling around then zooming in the water. They even came up to the windows sometimes which was so cute! But most cutely?? It’s breeding season and some were laying nests! It was so adorable and I loved them so much.
Obviously the penguins were my fav but I loved the garden eels (they’re so smol!), the jellyfish, the rays (some even came to the surface!) the huge sea turtle (!!), the cute sea horses and so many other pretty fish. And there were lil tortures with weirdly long and mobile necks. Also there were sharks! And some of them were just so done and were flop which, mode. The only thing we didn’t see were the sea otters that weren’t in their area for some reason (there was a camera showing them somewhere but I dunno where).
(Again pics will be up and I know I’ve missed stuff.)
There was a vr area which was new, but it was £7 and only 5 minutes so I didn’t even want to try it.
From the little shop I got an Axolotl key ring, penguin jewellery and an Animal Crossing mug (which came free with a lil toy, I picked a lobster? mum spotted). I also got two coins from machines around the place (one a jellyfish, one a penguin).
Overall it was really good on that front, though I do wish I’d used the touch pool but was wary about my hands. So it was a nice visit and, again, I loved seeing the penguins. I could’ve sat there and watched them be silly and cute for ages.
From an Animal Crossing side… you picked up a thing by the penguins which you’d stamp as you go around. It’s a kinda fun idea, but by the last four stamps were clearly out of ink. Also around were posters on the wall of blathers talking about the animals but the placements were odd (for instance the seahorse one wasn’t near the sea horses) but also quite a few were in low light areas making them hard to read. The only thing I saw that wasn’t them was a Gulliver model which was really fun to spot! But it was a shame he was the only one.
Also there was a thing to take pics with Isabelle or Tom Nook… but I think the arrows were posted wrong cause I didn’t see where it was which was a shame. There was AC which was Lego, a puzzle, pins, mugs and the plushies. i had thought of getting one but they were £25 (for small) and £45 (for big) which felt too much. So if you’re going just for the Animal Crossing stuff you might be disappointed, but if you go to see cute, pretty or interesting animals you won’t be!
We went in the Lego store across from that and I got some poly bags, including the new Animal Crossing one, a Mars rover and some flowers.
Then we went back to the station, stopping for churros (and to get the How It Works magazine from Smith cause deep sea fish).
Now I’m just a bit flop, I’m aching a bit so I’m just gonna flop, watch Doctor Who, maybe build a poly bag and StarWars fortnite before going zzz.
Update: Some pics here

So it’s monthly round up time! How has another month gone already?
Looking at this I actually managed to do more than I thought I did. Like I’ve done something for pretty much everything which is good and some things that I didn’t do are mostly due to stress high is annoying. (And being too lazy to disc switch until I’ve finished the doctor who special features, which I’ve not finished cause stress and tiredness).
I think I’ve mentioned most of the things here at various points so I won’t go over them.
But damn I’m still thinking of that thing from the Wendigoon vid. A 9ft shark had a tracking device on it and they found it washed up on shore. When they looked at the info on it something had dragged the shark suddenly into the depths. And honestly? That’s one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever heard.
I would cover the thing I did with things I wanted to do last month but again, cause of stress I don’t think I can. I’m more annoyed that I wasn’t able to fic anything. Like I had things virtually ready to go and my focus has just been so fucked. Hopefully this month I can get some of the many WIPs and such out. Maybe.
I dunno if I’ll do a similar thing for this month but if it is it won’t be till next week.
***
The rest of the post is mostly quick fire things cause I feel drained (due to the dumb heat making me drained).
I watched Andor and damn, the costume designers really have popped off this season and I hope that they get all the awards. (Also it’s tragically amusing they’ve made Ghorman basically space France and that ending of episode 6 is so… part was cathartic, part was immensely disappointing.)
Last night I finally saw Nope cause it was on tv. Spoilers thoughts under the cut.
Today’s been a low energy day but! When we walked Naryu we saw the first ducklings of the season! In fact, bar some tiny tadpoles, it’s the first of any baby animal. There were 8 of them total and they were so cute and fluffy!
Of course I’d not took my pad or anything cause I didn’t think we’d see anything, so I’ll take it Sunday to try and get pics.
The rest of the day was spent finishing Andor (with the aforementioned ep 6), then the new Star Wars fortnite (Poe looks so cool and has two outfits!) and a Lego set I ordered on sale arrived (an acclamator class Star Destroyer) and now there’s Taskmaster.
Tomorrow’s a busy day but expect pics of cute animals on 8nsta at some point when I’m back!

Apr. 30th, 2025 09:32 pmIt’s the last day of April already. Where has the month gone? I’ve actually hated how at the end of last month I was all in a slightly better place and thinking I’d get a load of things done and I just… I’ve done certain things but others, mostly due to stress, I’ve not. Like I didn’t get to read Agatha Christie book for the month, nor did I finish fic despite thinking I was going to. It’s so annoying.
Yesterday was mums birthday and it was a nice day. I wasn’t able to do her the cake I usually do cause the food shop came in the morning and she wanted to try the local pub for lunch. It was nice, I tried something called Singapore noodles which were really good though I think the cider I had with it made my head fuzzy.
Today mum wanted to go down to look at sainsburys (after changing her mind three times yesterday) and it was annoying cause of the sudden heat. But I got to make a cute kitty friend on the way back. I also ended up getting a few things, there was a Funko Mandalorian N-1 on sale which looks so cool and there was a Metal Hammer magazine with Sleep Token that I didn’t know about (and it was the last one!) but most interestingly was a book I picked up in tk which was a translation of The Egyptian Book Of The Dead which is pretty cool.
Tomorrow is voting and I am a bit annoyed about it. We’ve had fliers through from labour and reform (ugh) but nothing from the Lib Dem and green candidates and I can’t seem to find any info on them. (The green has a twitter that’s not been updated since 2019 and the Lib Dem doesn’t even have that.) it feels baffling. I’ll probably vote Green but it’s still annoying they don’t seem to be trying.
The sudden heat hasn’t helped my sleep which has been off lately anyway. A few nights back I had a bad dream about Midna which unsettled me and it feels every night has be had different bad dreams. Last night it reminded me about people that hurt and abandoned me, then another was just… unsettling in a way I can’t describe. I wish these bad dreams would go away. Can’t I dream about something nice?
Saturday is gonna be the Birmingham trip, for free comic book day. Hopefully I’ll be able to hit up the entertainer and Lego for the freebies too (though I might miss them) and there might be a nice Star Wars thing to pick up on sale. Cause of all the stress (and finding a code) mum said we could hit up Sea Life for the Animal Crossing event which ends in a few days. So I’ll be posting pics on insta from thaf. I just hope it’ll be a nice time and not as warm as today.
The local cinema has got Thunderbolts and also Sinners for Bank Holiday Monday so I am considering going to see one, but I dunno what the bank holiday buses are. I guess we’ll see if I decide to go or not.
I’m sure I had some other thought but my mind has gone, once again, blank.

Apr. 28th, 2025 08:32 pmOn Saturday night my focus was too off to watch anything or fic so I decided to put on a Who audio I got from the Easter sale. I decided to start the Classic Doctors New Monsters set I got, which is the second volume of the series. As the name implies the series has classic doctors up against new enemies so this one has the Vashta Nerada, Racnoss and Carionites.
The first audio, which I’d already heard cause it was a promo with the who magazine awhile back, was Night Of The Vashta Nerada. It’s a solid story with the fourth doctor alone helping a team find out why workers at on an amusement park suddenly went missing. The team is a pretty good one (there is one really unlikeable one but that’s absolutely intentional) but I think what lets it down is the fact the Vashta are a very visual enemy (have to count the shadows to see if they’re around) and that’s a thing that doesn’t really translate to audio.
Sunday I watched the next two eps of The Residence (so eps 3+4) and I continue to really enjoy it. I’m still not sure who actually did it as there’s been a few red herrings so far. But damn I really do not like that social lady.
Then in the night I decided to watch a film on Amazon and settled on The Last Voyage Of The Demeter. It was a pretty good film, though of course I was sad about the poor dog. Of course the central thing of it did feel like a problem. So dracula charters a boat to take him to England, he has one person he had bought along to drink from but then starts killing the crew when they find her. He does realise that a ship needs a crew to function right? Like they could have abandoned the ship in daylight (which, apparently, no one even things to do) or he could have killed so many that the ship could just end up drifting of course and then he’d be utterly fucked.
Today I finished the last two eps of the first arc of Andor and, yep, those rebels Andor ended with are in total morons. Like they had no clue what they were doing, started shooting each other, had a game of Star Wras rock paper scissors and then got attacked by a creature which meant Andor could escape.
Huge kudos though for the design team for the Chandrillian wedding because damn. All the sets, the costumes, coming up with an entire culture and customs. That’s super impressive. The last ep was such mood whiplash though going between the wedding, Dedra meeting Syril’s mum and then imperials acting like utter assholes (including the assault scene).
Then I was finally able to finish up on Echoes Of Wisdom. Turns out the fight I thought was the last wasn’t the last (it was an echo Zelda) but this time I was able to beat it, go into Null’s body (a level that could’ve been a lil longer I thought) and then beat Null which I managed to do in one try, yipee! So now that’s done but ahh the end was sad with Tri going away but at least it seems, from the credits, that Conde’s brother is coming home.
Now I’m gonna bundle up a bit cause this is the busy week. There’s mums birthday tomorrow, voting on Thursday, then Star Wars fortnite on Friday, Free comic book day/sea life on Saturday and Star Wars day and dnd Sunday. So busy week, lots going on so I’m thinking next week I can do things I’d hoped to do, namely finish Stranger Things and get back to American Horror Story.

Apr. 26th, 2025 09:23 pmGood news everyone! I found my glasses!
Turns out they had slipped down behind my bed and were tucked under something so had been easy to miss when I first felt around there. So that means. I can see ok yipee!
My eyes were still a bit achy from using the others so I decided not to see Episode III in the cinema, which sucks cause I wanted to but the timing has really been so… ugh.
Good things yesterday was some mail came. The postman had a few things to deliver but instead of handing them over in one go handed over one, then slipped the other two through the door (so he came back three times which was odd). The mail was a fox hoodie I back pad on kickstarter last year (with some pins and stickers) which looks so pretty and had a nice package. There was a book, Appointment With Death and other plays. Lastly there was the new Doctor Who magazine which has a great cover of 15 with Mr Ring-a-Ding (and has previews for the coming eps, but I feel I’ve not learned anything really other than being most excited for The Interstellar Song Contest).
Today I managed to, finally, read Rise Of Hellfire issue 2 which I’ve had sitting around for about two weeks? (At least). I’m glad I read it cause it was so good and I’m looking forward to how the rest will go. I can tell I’ll be sad it’s only 4 issues.
I also started Andor after waiting a few days. They put up 3 eps and I’ve only watched the first (I might watch the next one later or tomorrow). So far it’s been pretty good with Cassian stealing a prototype ship, incompetent Rebels and Mon in new fancy outfits. And, of course, the Empire being utterly terrifying in wanting to ‘relocate’ an entire civilisation. Considering the Ghorman massacre is a known event… it’s gonna go horribly.
Also today was the latest Doctor Who ep and I managed to avoid spoilers for the ep. If you want to watch but haven’t yet do not read further.

Now though I’m gonna go on Oblivion, then watch a film (unless my eyes get tired) though I also might try and get some words out too.

Apr. 24th, 2025 04:46 pmSo my glasses are still awol and it’s clear that my eyes are aching more. I had hoped I could hunt down where they are, but I’ve had absolutely zero luck. My fear is that they’ve not fell somewhere hard to reach, but that Naryu has found and hid them, in which case I’ve no luck finding them unless by accident.
It’s so annoying cause at nights I’ve wanted to do stuff but cause of my aching I can’t. Ugh.
I was intending to call up the options to see if I could get my prescription to order some only, but between Tuesday’s egg hunt and deliveries coming today I’ve just… not.
Between that and Seapeekay doing a long early stream yesterday I didn’t start the new Andor series like I hoped. I had meant to avoid spoilers and was doing a good job… but then I found out there’s gonna be an SA scene and just…
In a way I’m glad I’m aware there’s gonna be one so it’s not just gonna happen with no warning (I’ve still not seen though so there might be plenty of build up) but at the same time it’s made me kinda wary? Like I’m worried it might spark something in my brain which, most likely it won’t be still.
I was thinking of watching tonight but then my eyes have been achy all day so..
(And causa the aching eyes I might just give seeing Episode III a miss which is so annoying)
The deliveries today was mums irritating bracelet and some of the Agatha Christie books I’m collecting. One of them was The Secret Of Chimneys and I started to read that before the seven dials mystery (which is a follow up and this month’s book). And I’ve read the first four chapters and… already there’s issues.
It’s not the story itself, because at this point it’s mostly introducing people and setting things up. Nope it’s that there’s typos. Like even on the first page there’s an instead of and, which isn’t a mistake I’d expect to see. (I checked the paperback version I got and the mistakes aren’t there, so it’s not a case of it was written like that.) there was also a moment of confusion when a king was called Nicholas I then a few paragraphs later as Nicholas IV (IV is the correct one but that feels a worse mistake than an instead of and). It makes me worry that some of the other books in the collection are like this, in whichis case imply be so disappointed cause I’ve got so many now.
Sigh.
Anyway gonna eat now then maybe work on something before the Madame Blanc finale.
Tomorrow there’s new Sleep Token (yipee!) and then there’s Beyond Paradise which looks spooky then Saturday is Doctor Who being even more spooky with The Well.

We’re going on an egg hunt
Apr. 22nd, 2025 08:05 pmSo the last few days have been eventful so it’s time, again, for a general post.
So on Sunday I started watching The Residence. I saw a trailer for it on twitter about a month or so ago and I was instantly intrigued. It’s a murder mystery and someone has gotten killed at a large house while a party is going on downstairs. Which yeah, sounds like dozens of other murder mysteries, except this is no ordinary large house: it’s the white house.
I watched the first two episodes and, so far, it’s really great so far! I love the detective as she’s so quirky and has absolutely no respect for any of the guys trying to tell her what to do (or what not to do). The cast is also wild as there’s been a lot of people I’ve recognised (The FBI agent from Ant Man and Wandavision, Tilly from Star Trek Discovery, Jane Curtain from 3rd Rock from the sun, one of the guys from OG Charmed, hughJackman and Kylie Minogue! Oh and the guy that plays Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian is in it too.) I really love it and wanna watch more cause I wanna know what happened!
The rest of Sunday was kinda low energy but I did end up starting a game pass game, Planet Of Lana. It came to gamepass last year and I wanted to play it cause it looks so pretty but alas I got sidetracked. It really is so pretty though and there’s a cute lil guy called Mui who is like a lil black cat thing. It’s pretty good so far, though some parts are tricky.
I found out on insta that there’s gonna be an indie horror short film thing at a cinema in Birmingham (here’s the list) and I’m kinda tempted to check it out even though I dunno exactly where the cinema is and it’s on a library day. We’ll see if I do it (they’re also doing full showings of Twin Peaks which is kinda cool but they’re on Sundays)
There wasn’t gonna be any plans Monday, but then when I was looking at the tv guide I saw there was a film I’d wanted to see for awhile on. It was The Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes and I’d heard of it cause there’s a section at Loch Ness (which resulted in a prop being lost to the loch only to be found again a few years back). And honestly? It was a wild ride. It had Christopher Lee as Mycroft an opening story mostly unconnected to the rest (with Sherlock implying to someone that he was gay and Watson was his lover), a finale at Loch Ness and a closing scene that was so sad. (It’s on Sky Arts again Saturday afternoon.j I’m so glad I spottted the listing, though also so sad when I looked up later that there was intended to be more scenes to it but they got cut.
Since money, finally, turned up I decided to go to sainsburys this morning to look for eggs. As I posted on insta I did find some, in sainsburys and Aldi, but there really weren’t many options and it was mainly more expensive eggs left. M and S’s food also didn’t have anything which was a shame as I wanted to try some of their hot cross buns. I did get a lil Lego Yoshi and the new radio times from sainsburys though.
(Also Pets at home had the cutest lil Guinea pigs they were so adorable😭)
I did manage to get a Lindt eggfor mum though as thanks for all the issues, though the box could easily have been half the size it was. We also had dominos, which was good though I’m sure the price has gone up since we last had some.
Also today Elder Scrolls Oblivion has been remastered and was out today! It’s on game pass too so I might try it sometime but it’s 120GB thst means I have to figure out a way to make space (damn xbox and memory card things being so small)
Also today the local cinema put up the Episode III showing times and it looks like it’s only from Friday-Sunday which is a bit annoying. It’s also annoying it’s only one showing, 3:45 which means I can get there on bus, but have to walk back if I go. I’ll see what the weather is like, but I know Saturday is out cause of Doctor Who.
Anyway! I think that’s everything but I’m probably missing something super obvious.
