So I saw this got posted just before I slept last night, and I wasn’t sure what I’d set. I know a few snowflakes back I set a fic related thing but I don’t think I could do that again. And I couldn’t think of anything super specific today either. So I’m just gonna do two general things.

1: The next fic or art that you see and enjoy, leave a comment (even if it’s an old one). As a fic writer comments give me joy, even if it’s just a short one. This is especially true now, with the world being… insane and so people need joy.

2: In that spirit, share something that brings you joy in a comment here. Or something that you’ve liked. Or even just pics of cute things.

I just think that the world is so messed up like now, that people are low due to the pandemic and fandom nastiness has been at an all time high, that people need joy and kindness. I think that’s super important.

In that spirit here’s some things that have bought me joy/that I’ve enjoyed the past few days.

Archive 81: I’ve ended up watching the Netflix series over the course of a week, which is very quick for me. I definitely recommend it if you like spooky mysteries.

Book Of Boba Fett: I’ve been enjoying the series so far. I’ve loved how interlinked the recent series are, which shows that it’s all happening in one universe. I’ve squeed so hard seeing stuff from the prequels, comics, clone wars and games show up this season.

DreamSMP: There’s been a bit of lore this week (Wilbur’s dramatic reading, chaos with George’s dream, last night with Eret coming back and being so pretty and then tonight’s a big one)so I’ve now become so invested.

ESO: There was a reveal stream Thursday with this years content for Elder Scrolls Online. This year it’s set in the High Isles which is an area that’s not been in games before. It’s all Medieval style and I’m glad it’s not gonna be another daedric thing and there’s actual peace talks. (And I didn’t know Bretons were hybrids of Mer/men.) it was also pretty cool they did a preview of the elder scrolls Naryu loot crate which includes a hoodie which looks cool

Pokémon Legends: Pokémon Legends came yesterday, in a box thats so big I thought it was the delayed elder scrolls loot crate. It took awhile to get going and it’s taking some getting used to (I still accidentally throw pokeballs and lose them) but I am enjoying it so far. It also helps there’s hot guys.

Streams: There’s been a lot of recent streams that have bought joy, especially last night which I’ll cover in a bit.

I feel I’m missing something. I’d take pics of the pup/kitties but they’re hiding.

I also wanna say, though I have before. That it’s really sucky that my head has been so fuzzy this month and so I’ve not been able to get as engaged or involved in snowflake as I usually would. I keep meaning to but just…

The wind storm has hit here and it hasn’t been too bad… cept when we went out and a branch feel from a tree in front of us. This wasn’t just a few small twigs, it was almost as long as I am tall. Thankfully it didn’t hurt anyone but if we’d been a little fast?

Yesterday was stressful, in part because of uni assessment (though I did make some progress) but also because mum had a scam letter come through the post, read it and panicked. And thus tried to start an arguement and stress out. Even when I told her it was a scam. It was just… ugh.

Thankfully she calmed down and I was able to start Pokemon and then dozed a little bit.

The package turned up yesterday to which was a discounted Lego Mario set. The Lego Mario sets are really odd to me. I don’t really like the gameplay element, but the character models are cut and some of the features work well. This one has a sump bro on a tower, which shakes when you press the levers. I don’t wanna shake it too much but it’s nice to make it gently sway.

My intention for last night and this weekend was to do some of these things:
*Watch Who ray special features
*Check out Vox Machina
*Watch Underwater (since I’d been curious about it and saw it got added to uk Disney+ this week)

Alas I did none of those things. I watched some of foolish’s stream because he was doing an escape run challenge with Punz, Badboyhalo and someone I wasn’t familiar with…. But then Tommy went live via Ranboo. Turns out his move to Brighton hasn’t gone well, the temporary apartment he was gonna stay in has a boiler issue but they only told him what it was after he’d took his stuff in there: that it was a carbon monoxide leak. Which is just… why let him take all his stuff in before telling him that? So he stayed at Wilbur’s and was on the library computer (because his computer, and laptop were in the apartment and he can’t get them out). And I just feel so sorry for him. It all sounds like a disaster. Kudos to Ranboo helping and being a voice of reason.

And then Eret decided to do a brief lore stream. I’d not seen Eret stream before so I wanted to and… Unf. They have curls and just a deep voice and he is just so…. Plus they have a big fluffy kitty! Who was adorable.

And then quackity went live doing blindfolded cooking. Which was… an experience. Karl and Sapnap were ‘helping’ him by giving him instructions, but as neither were physically there and were relying on two cameras… yeah it went pretty badly. But it was also hilarious with their ridiculous flirting and Sapnap being cute and caring for him while Karl was being chaotic. And it was just so…

Then Sapnap went live, not doing Valorant for once, and that was fun. He looked cute on his facecam. Though I missed some due to it becoming late and needing a shower. He had the new valentines merch on which is cute, but I like the flaming heart more so I might have to try and get that since the sio gig is put back.

It then switched to Karl’s for a brief stream with karaoke which was so cute.

So tonight there’s gonna be (at least) three streams. Techno’s lore stream with Tubbo and Eret as they go after Sam (never trust a Sam is what I say). Then there’s Dream doing an interview with the mysterious Manatreed. Then there’s Karl doing a non-canon tales of smp stream (I should watch the one it’s based on but I don’t think I have the time). So yeah today is gonna be a lot.

Hopefully tomorrow I can watch at least one of those things, but we’ll see. (I really wish people had some sort of schedule. Only a few tend to and most are random.)

Other things, a brief list cause I’m a bit tired.

*A package was delivered… but not here. I think it’s at the other house nearby with the same number, but none was in when I went to check a few minutes ago
*Wilbur did his lore stream reading last night, which ended in a homoerotic fist fight. And it was so… (And then Quackity asking where’s the part where our characters make out)
*Ranboo did a stream back last night and ahh! It was only short though but it fit in right
*I finished Archive 81 last night. I was right about some theories, but it’s left open enough for a follow up. I wonder how different the podcast is.
*I missed a Dream stream but ahh the Dream Team are gonna share a house with plans for 5 years and then going from there which is so…
*I started the uni assessment this morning and my head is just so… fuzzy. Ugh. I emailed the tutor for an extension which I think I might need, but we’ll see.
*Theres an ESO stream tonight about this years dlc, I hope Naryu appears
*Pokemon Legends is out tomorrow, I’m still not sure who I’m gonna choose for a starter, but serebii is putting up info
*I’m gonna recharge a bit, then hopefully fic some

Challenge 13.

So I’ve not done challenge 12 yet cause I couldn’t think of anything, so maybe I’ll add that to a future one.

This one took me a little while to figure out, because I didn’t wanna do something obvious that I’d mentioned before in something like this. Nor did I wanna mention something that has, in time, become a tainted memory.

So I think a few come to mind.

So a few months before the pandemic became a thing (which feels like forever ago) one of my loves came and spend some time here. It was really weird being in a hotel in Birmingham, but there was lots of good times. We watched a bunch of films and such, as well as the first season of Stranger Things (which I’ve still not continued), going to a cat cafe for the first time and seeing a mutual friend, again for the first time.

One of the last things we did was going to comic con in Birmingham. It ended up being pretty fun. I got a Pokemon funko, saw two Star Wars panels and had a good talk with one of the guys from Star Wars Rebels. It was fun and it’s strange looking back thinking of being in such a place with all the people. I dunno if I’d be ready to go to such a thing anytime soon.

One of the things that helped keep me sane through the pandemic was watching Maxx Danziger’s streams. He’s the drummer of Set It Off and, although getting into them was from a source that’s snow bleh, I’m glad about it because watching him helped keep me sane. The streams were always nice even if the streams were of something scary. There’s something nice about his voice. Plus seeing his dog Crash and cat Pistol, who are both so sweet (I hope they’ve been ok with the move he’s done). He’s stopped streaming cause of the move/Christmas/tour, but it’s nice seeing him as happy as he is in tour pics.

Speaking of streamers, as I’ve mentioned before I got into a few because of my friend Chai. I have a feeling a fic triggered my interest but I’m not entirely sure who I started watching first. Whoever it was definitely ended up sending me down a rabbit hole of streamers and now I have so many that I watch.

The most memorable stream was probably the wine stream which was basically Quackity and Wilbur together drinking wine and being cute and having staggering sexual tension. It also came at good time because that night I was super depressed. So it was nice.

And of course the prison break lore streams was the best, because it was my first one that was able to watch live that was a big event. (Quackity’s lore was before it, but it was predone and the prison break was all live). I ended up watching three different streams of it, one live then two as vods. It’s turned out recently that it had been planned for awhile, but had been done then because they’d been worried techno might have an arm amputated so they got as many people together to do it as they could. Which was pretty impressive.

Just a few random things now before I start another Archive 81 ep on Netflix (is anyone watching that? I’m about to watch ep 6)?

Set It Off announced today that they’re doing a stream of a gig for one of the dates for the people that can’t make it for the tour. Which is a really nice gesture, even though it works out being pretty late our time. There’s a tee and pennant on the streaming site but neither are too special alas. At least the album was up to order earlier. I’ll sort the stream ticket probably next week.

Today I beat Victory road on Brilliant Diamond and it’s, honestly, the first part of the game that’s given me real trouble but that’s mostly due to the amount of wild Pokemon in there with sturdy which is an irritating ability. I’m hoping to do the elite four tomorrow so it’s done for the new game.

Season 5 of Fringe started last week and I’m… really not vibing with it. I think it’s because I’m done with dystopian things. And also because it feels like the whole thing is just… missing a step you know? Between the time jump and the observers gone from being passive to suddenly evil… I dunno.

There’s a trailer for a Picard season 2 and I’m cautiously optimistic, though I sense it also has a dystopia which… ugh. At least it has Q and Guinan now.

And speaking of trailers I saw there’s something called the legend of vox machina coming out in a few days on prime, which looks like it could be fun/interesting.

I did start a fic last night so we’ll see how it pans out. But my head has been so fuzzy lately and I’m not sure why. Ah well. Hopefully it shoos soon.

I think, as always, I was gonna mention something else, but it’s completely gone from my head.

I’ve commented on a few things and I’m gonna try and read through some of the posts tonight and in the morning. My head has been really odd focus wise so I’ve been, mostly, terrible at interacting this year.

I have just finished the Foxington levels of New Super Lucky’s Tale, which were pretty tricky. I probably wont get all the collectibles/achievements, but we’ll see. I hope they do a follow up cause they left quite the sequel hook.

I’m just watching a stream now and then maybe, hopefully, will watch the next Archive 81 ep, which will be episode 3. The last stream I watched was an entertains Karl Jacob’s stream, though I dozed part way through it. I did get to see/hear Quackity thirsting like crazy over Foolish again which was… Unf.

Today I managed to watch Eternals and spoilers thoughts are here for anyone interested. And also there’s todays song Saturday which is Set it off’s new song.

I’m not sure I can answer this one as my sense of time is so warped. 2021 seems like yesterday and six months ago. So my sense of time for writing things probably is too.

I’d have probably done a top 5 for games I did but I’m not sure what those would be. Probably Animal Crossing a lot (my storage is full again so if anyone needs diys or recipes lemme know, as I might have them).

This is probably much easier, but I’m only gonna post public ones so anyone could read, otherwise there’d be a bunch of others

First is Show Me which is an Alex Espiritu/Ray Toro fic that was done for my birthday. It’s very hot and was definitely unexpected and sweet.

Next up is Sapnap’s SCP harem which is currently ongoing (and I’ve not yet read the latest two chapters). In it members of the DreamSMP are sap’s, and each chapter has a bit that’s written just like a file on an scp on the wiki. Plus Sexytimes ensues. It’s wild, but fun.

I’m just gonna red two series now, one by Anonno8 And one by The Dell At Night while I’ve not read all of the fics in them yet they’ve both solidified by need for feminisation/bimboification/dollification fics which I have a mighty need for. (So if anyone wants to do one…)

I feel I’m missing something, maybe? I dunno, but those are the main ones that come to mind.

Monday was pretty uneventful, other than Wilbur decided to stream with Tommy. I was impressed that Tommy stayed quiet for as long as he did. I think it must be the longest he’s been quiet other than sleeping.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. In the morning my new Georgenotfound hoodie came, which is so soft and snuggly. I loved that the packaging had the Dream smile on and it came with stickers too! At the same time the Ranboo plush I’d ordered came which is also very cute.

I’d seen clips of Quackity showing up on foolish’s stream the night before so watched some of the vod (despite net being annoying) and damn he was so horny on main for him. He was flirting like crazy which definitely unlocked a new ship. Edit Someome even made a video of all the clips Here

Also yesterday something I had on back order showed up, which was the Lego Minecraft Skytower. I ended up building it during the night and it’s pretty good, I like the door, though it’s odd the house part has no bed. (And the furnishings for it were spread across the bags which was strange too.) and yeah I may have a tiny Lego minecraft problem, so what?

(I still can’t find the Lego minecraft magazine, and it looks like the jungle abomination is gone from b and m Cannock which is annoying but eh… I’m not able to go for a week or so so maybe it’ll be back in.)

Though I did manage to get the Tarot magazine today, though it’s odd it has a major arcana but the minor arcana for it is spread out? Strange

The Book Of Boba Fett today was an A+ ep and not just cause it had more Fennec. (I still need an icon of her, she’s an awesome badass)

I hope to do some reading tomorrow but that’s unlikely, Uni reading I think has sapped my energy to do recreational reading. Which sucks and is annoying but… eh. I need to go back on Pokemon too, and Cadence.

For now though I’m going back on super Lucky’s Tale (after taking a break causa the ball tilt thing, I swear I’ve lost more lives on that then the whole game) and maybe more who special features/Archive 81. Hopefully.

So when I saw this I wasn’t sure what counts for this and I wanted to hold off anyway so I could post challenge 6 with it.

I saw

dreamersdare’s response and that mentioned accomplishments for doing certain challenges. so over the past year I did last years snowflake and sunshine challenges, plus I did some stuff for season of kink and kinktober (though didn’t fully do either).

Also like them I’ve managed not to stab anyone with pencils, though I’ve certainly considered it

Unlike them though I’m gonna post fics, all to dreamwidth although all but one are on ao3 too. All the warnings for each are on the link

In Vino Veritas - inspired by the obvious flirting during Wilbur and Quackity’s wine stream, I knew I had to do something based on it so this is the result

Paralysed - inspired by Set It Off’s Skeleton video having surgery in it I decided to do something based on what I think could happen to Maxx after it

Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing - another thing inspired by something, this by a segment from Trick R Treat, so this is my attempt at horror with werewolves.

In the end I didn’t watch Eternals. I planned to Saturday afternoon, but felt too unfocused for it. So I switched it to Saturday night… but then Wilbur decided to stream. So then I switched it to Sunday afternoon and was too tired again. So yeah, I’ve not watched it yet. Oops. Hopefully next weekend? Maybe. We’ll see.

Instead I started Super Lucky’s Tale which is a pretty fun game with a cute fox and other cute things. After Wilbur’s stream I watched a few others, including Badboyhalo’s which was pretty cute cause it was a face cam stream and he also did all his voices! Plus his dog was there and she’s a cute fluff! And quackity too! I also watched one ep of Archive 81 on Netflix which was definitely spooky and I wanna see more, so I might watch an ep tonight.

The Set It Off tour has started in the us which ahhh! Maxx looks so damn pretty. There’s pics of the tour merch too and I hope we get the one hoodie (at least I think it’s a hoodie) because it looks so pretty and has Enchantment hoodie vibes cause it’s all bright colours.

I’m still considering the vip if it’s still there, though I do wanna see what you get from it. I’ve just seen the signed poster but hopefully someone will post the rest (though obviously the flag is for the us tour not ours)

Speaking of merch I’m hoping some things come this week. The Ranboo plushie should be here tomorrow and the George hoodie is in the country so should be here by the end of the week (I’m guessing) so yay!

Todays been mostly a lazy day, other than writing and being annoyingly unfocussed yet again. Although Wilbur did do a short stream with Tommy which was cute.

I’ve got Natewantstobattle on now and he’s, oddly, doing push ups for some reason. After this post I’ll do more of Lucky’s Tale and then hopefully watch more Archive 81.

First off, I’m working on something for challenge 6 but my creative vibes have been a bit off cause I’ve been so strained these last few days. But I have started work on a thing

Tv Tropes is an interesting site, which covers tropes in films, games, tv shows and more. The thing is about it that you can fall down rabbit holes by clicking on links and going through things. I’ve got a few of the pages open, including for the Who eps I’ve been watching,

One thing that gets mentioned on tvtropes is ‘the other wiki’ which is when a fandom is big enough to have its own wiki. One of these I have open is for Five Nights At Freddys. I’ve not played any of the games myself, but I’ve got it open at the pizzaplex page for reference in the fic I’m working on.

I’ve also read through some of the Dream SMP wiki which I’ve read a bit cause I’m still new to it and not caught up to all the lore with it.

The last few days have been semi uneventful and I’ve been so drained cause there’s been a few late nights due to watching stuff but it’s been good stuff. Dream and Quackity’s FNAF stream, The hills have eyes remake (though can horror films not kill animals) and a Sapnap stream last night.

I’ve done a little gaming, which has included trying a few game pass games…. Though ugh, I Am Fish is really hard to control, so I don’t think I’ll do it more. The Pedestrian was a bit more straightforward, though I got stuck on a puzzle which was annoying.

I have managed to do Pokemon some more too, because I want to try and finish it before the new game comes out. Which looks pretty cool from todays new vid on it.

Yesterday was the new Book of Boba Fett which (to be intentionally vague) was mostly good, although there was one part that… wasn’t so much. Ugh.

Has anyone seen the new Lego minecraft magazine? I’ve not been able to find it anywhere which is annoying.

Hopefully I can get some more ficcing done tonight, but we’ll see. And some more Pokémon too.

Funnily a few days ago I made a post with some of my wips, most of which have just been languishing.

Generally my main issue with writing lately is energy and block, which has been annoying. This is also coupled with a more ideas popping into my head. Entering a new fandom has meant I’ve had ideas keep coming as I watch new stuff, and I’ve noted some things down…. And then something else will pop into my head. Oop.

(I also had a big DreamSMP thing that I made notes of but haven’t got anywhere yet, mainly cause I think I need more notes cause it’s the kinda thing that needs both planning and sticking to so… we’ll see.)

Currently my main ‘to do’ list
*Finishing the top Sapnap fic
*Finishing the Gerard/Maxx fic
*Doing a Quackity/Glamrock Freddy thing
*(I know I have something that I’m missing but my head is kinda forgetting what that is)

Those are the specific ones that ai have but I have others that are just… vague.

But I also know if Kill The Lights or Set It Off do a music video I’ll just have to do something with that.

Unrelated to that but another thing I wish I could do is art. I always admire the skills that artists have but I can’t do it myself (other than basic things, like sheeps and hearts). Artists are amazing.

I’ll likely do a late song Saturday later with some other rambly thoughts so I’ll add a link here when I do it.

So between having to go and pick up meds and then not feeling well I wasn’t able to do challenge 3 on the day. So instead I’m doing it now with today’s one (since my head is feeling much better)

So let’s get to it.

When it comes to AUs I don’t tend to read too many of them. Sometimes with band stuff there’d be general AUs (ie where they weren’t in a band) so that was mostly it. I’ve also read a few serial killer ones and stuff like that.

I love space stuff, so I’ve meant to do a Set It Off fic based on the Lonely Dance video which, for some reason, is set in space with them being terrorised by an alien. (I really wanna know what inspired the choice of it for the song) I just haven’t had the chance to work out specifics for it. Maybe I will at some point.

One of my favourite AUs that I’ve done, and would love to see more of, is a Mamma Mia au. Because it’s my favourite films. Yes it’s fun and silly but it’s just so 🖤 Here’s the one I did for The Umbrella Academy and it’s still the favourite thing I’ve done.

Speaking of The Umbrella Academy it was ripe for AUs especially after season 1 and a lot of people wrote stuff post season 1 where they’d got back to their own time and everything was as it should be.

Recently I did do a few fics in a version of a DND type world, with some of the monsters from it. I’m thinking of going back to it at some point.

Well I’m gonna do a few serious ones, then a few things I’d like specifically for me.

First off, I wish fandom was kinder. It feels like, in recent years, people have become crueller. They will hate on others for what they ship or enjoy. They’ll start campaigns against them and bully them. I really, truly, hate that. Especially as someone who had been on the receiving end of it.

And for that point can we stop hassling people for liking ‘problematic’ ships, shows, characters, tropes. (and fuck do I despise that word)

I wish spaces weren’t being… I’m not sure what the exact word is. It started with tumblr banning nsfw content and then it went from there. I’m sick of it. Let people enjoy adult content in peace. It shouldn’t become sanitised for puriteens.

I wish there was more engagement in fandom. Yes ao3 is a good resource for fics, but it’s also… I dunno. People seem to just leave kudos and not comment on fic, which I think is sad. And it’s also very easy for small fandoms there to remain small. It feels like there’s no spaces for connection. I wish dreamwidth was as active as LJ used to be at its height because I loved that. I think when people abandoned it, everyone just kinda… dissipated. And that’s sad.

As such it’s hard to make connections with people, especially good people. Which is a real shame. Stuff like snowflake can be good for that, which I’m thankful for (and I hope to go through other posts when I’m more focussed)

But what I’d like for myself?

I’d always welcome new friends on here. I often feel when I stumble into new fandoms I’m doing it alone or with only one person so I’d love to have more people to squee over things with (currently it’s DreamSMP and minecraft YouTubers which isn’t something I’d have expected) and to squee over geeky stuff like Star Wars and Doctor Who and such.

I’d love there to be more content with Set It Off, but it seems there’s not much of a fandom for them fic wise (it feels like MCR is the only band that has a super active fic writing fandom and it puzzles me). I’d love more Maxx fic, with anyone and everyone. (Same with Alex from Badflower, and Ray Toro which is evergreen). Now that Jay is in Kill The Lights I’d love more fic of him too but I don’t expect any.

Because I’ve fallen into this new fandom I’m gonna have to devour all the Sapnap, Dream, Quackity, Eret, Wilbur fics that there are on ao3 (and I’m probably missing some too).

So basically I’d like any fic with Jay James, Maxx Danziger, Ray Toro, Quackity, Wilbur Soot, Sapnap, Dream, Eret, Alex from Badflower. (And I’m sure I missed someone. I did do a post of wants But it’s pretty out of date and I did a slight addition before December)

So yeah like I mentioned I’ve not been well since I went out. My tummy and head have felt funny and it’s just been really annoying. Thankfully it seems the liquid neurofen I picked up today seems to have helped with the head.

As such not much has happened cause my focus has been more than a little off which is annoying.

Quackity did stream last night, streaming the new Five Nights At Freddys and his thirst over Glamrock Freddy is just… Unff. There’s art already and I’m sure there’s only a matter of time before nsfw art shows up. (and him running around while ymca played was funny) and before that Wilbur streamed Risk and was so full of manipulative, horny energy it was so…

Is anyone in the uk near a b and m? They’ve got some of the vidiyo sets reduced down to £1 (and £5 for one of the sets) so if you see them lemme know. I was meant to be going when mums friend was next gonna come (and I was gonna get the jungle abomination) but their mum has had a tumble so she won’t be coming anytime soon.

My Georgenotfound hoodie has been shipped so yay! Also my Lego has been sent so hopefully that’ll be here soon woo!

My new card came yesterday and has anyone else had ones with a notch on one side? I’ve never seen that before

And todays Father Brown was so awesome, I knew it would be when it had not just Flambeau but a lady Felicia and just ahh!

I’m gonna snug now, I dunno if I’ll fix today or anything but we’ll see.

Challenge #2

Strangely in the first post I mentioned about goals for the coming year, while also saying ‘I bet it comes up in snowflake’ and, well, here we are. Thankfully it was just a brief thing so I can go more in depth with goals here.

So the goals I mentioned in that post was read stuff, watch stuff and game stuff so that’s where I’ll go in here.

Read

A few months back I started a book of short stories called Nightmare Yearnings, which caught my interest cause it’s horror stories and some of them are queer. I got it around Halloween with he internet to read it, but everything went crazy and I lost focus (and then it became too dark to read at my usual reading time). So my intention was to get back to that… but it seems to have been moved at some point and now I dunno where it is, damnit.

I’m also intending to read more of the High Republic novels because I’m so far behind at that. I’ve got about… Three, at least to read so with Nightmare Yearnings awol I’m gonna start Test Of Courage.

(I also have a backlog of Star Wars novels to read, but high republic is the priority)

I’ve got a few things on kindle to read to. It’s mostly mum that uses the account so it’s annoyingly filled of the stuff she reads (amazin let us split accounts between users please) but I have Chlorophobia and Untouched at least to read on there, (funnily both seem to have similar themes)

I also intend to read more on ao3, I have a bunch of tabs there to read (as well as some marked for laters). Annoyingly though safari on my pad keeps having issues and losing tabs randomly which is annoying (has anyone had this issue and knows how to sort it?) It keeps losing the most recent ones randomly, which tends to be fic tabs.

I’ve also got some magazines to read through, as well as the newer Star Wars encyclopaedia part work.

I have a load of to watch lists of doom on various things sop which I want to get through. So here’s some of the main ones. (I’ve sure I’m missing stuff)

*The Hills Have Eyes: I’ve got the remakes the other week which I’m intending to watch soon

*Hawkeye: I’ve not started the series yet, despite intending to. I also need to start What If and finish Falcon And The Winter Soldier
*The X-Files: I started a rewatch and must get back to it
*Only Murders In The Building: I need to watch more of this, I started it and then failed
*Frozen 2: I wanna rewatch it after seeing Frozen over Christmas
*The Incredibles 2: I still haven’t seen this
*Star Wars Visions: I need to finish this cause what I saw was awesome. I also need to finish Teh Bad Batch though I’m a tad less eager for that

*Space Sweepers: it’s been on my to watch list since I heard of it but I’ve just not been in the mindset to watch it

*I wanna watch through the rest of the DreamSMP lore streams. I’ve only seen the prison break and the L’Manburg one where Wilbur gets tnt happy. I’m thinking of watching the red banquet next since it’s about 45 minutes

Game

I’ve got both an Xbox and Nintendo switch, both with a bunch of games I need to work on.

For the switch I need to finish Skyward Sword, as well as Pokemon Diamond, which I wanna finish before legends comes out. I also wanna do more of Cadence Of Hyrule and Mario and Rabbids, and Hyrule Warriors. And also I wanna get back on Starlink and Steamworld Quest. (As well as Story of Seasons and Super Mario sunshine)

There’s a few on the switch too that I’ve got but not started. These are: Agent A, Best Friend Forever, Doctor Who The Lonely Assassins, Journey of the broken circle, omen exitio, ni no kuni.

On Xbox there’s a bunch I need to finish. Assassins Creed Valhalla, Close To The Sun, Death’s Door, Doctor Who Edge Of Reality, ESO Deadlands, Fenyx Rising, Guardians of the galaxy (which I started but haven’t gone on much), Spiritfarer (I finished the main game but I’ve not gone on the updates which I know will give me feels), The Council.

These are some I need to start. Alba A Wildlife Adventure, Control, Key We,
Lost In Random, Sonic Adventure 2, The Assembly, The Sinking City. And I’m sure for both of these there’s a fair few that I’ve forgotten to add. Oops.

As a general other thing I also wanna try and get that Lego Mario question mark block, because it looks so cool.

I’m sure I have other goals beyond those things but nothing really comes to mind. This has ended up being pretty long, oops.

Yesterday ended up being a pretty lazy which is good because it’s been pretty wet and grey. I did end up watching No Time To Die, but I won’t say my thoughts in case someone hasn’t seen yet. (Though I will say Q having a date with a guy made me squee a bit)

Other than that I watched a few streams. First was one streaming a show called Bee and Puppykitty, which certainly went in a different direction then I expected from the name (it’s got Adventure Time vibes). Then there was Ranboo doing a scary game, which was funny if only because of the issues at the start. Last was another stream of a show, Total Drama, which I’d not seen until a few nights ago and it’s also different from what I would’ve expected.

So one of my goals above is to game more and at actually managed to accomplish some of that last night. In the run up to Christmas I won a game called Teacup. (I actually won a choice of games and went for that cause I’d played the demo). The game is very cute and sweet, it’s a very laid back kind of game for the most part and the puzzles are fairly simple (plus it’s easy to get all the achievements). I’d say the only downside to it was that it’s short. I was able to finish it in the night, probably in just over an hour. Still, it was a very sweet experience.

Shortly after Ranboo’s stream finished Quackity put up his vlog from his recent uk trip and it’s super funny and sweet. Between recording his first meeting with George, as well as confirming he was there for That tiktok that George did, Jack having DNF on his computers, then meeting Tommy (and not having his side of the convo so having what he could remember as text to speak) and then Wilbur picking him an outfit…it was all so funny. And then him and George went mini golfing in a Dino park and that looked so cool (and there was someone else doing the filming so I wonder who). It’s hinted there’s stuff that’s ‘a story for another time’ so I’m curious what that could mean and hope there’s a part 2.

And aww Sapnap being so cute at it being one year living with Dream. (Especially after him being filthy during the recent valorant stream he did)

Today I’ve got nothing really in mind. I wanna just take it easy and snuggle. I also wanna try and go through other snowflake posts (I failed this weekend but hope to more today or tomorrow). I’m hoping to fic some but then I’ve said it before and gotten distracted or blocked. I’m gonna go on animal crossing soon though to do my daily stuff on it. And I wanna finish the special features on destiny of the daleks tonight too.

So first off, happy new year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year’s Eve and that everyone has a good, better new year.

So this will be my intro post, replacing my current sunshine one. (Well current as I type this)

My name is Stuie, I’m 35 (though fuck I don’t feel like it) and I live in the uk. I’m currently a student with the Open University (which is a university that does distance learning) and my current course is about Earth sciences. I have depression and anxiety (and possibly autism but I’ve not been able to look into that cause… pandemic)

I’m a geek, I love Star Wars, Zelda, Doctor Who and all kinds of other stuff. Basically if it’s about space I’m into it. And I also love Pokemon and Animal Crossing. Recently I’ve also ended up being pulled into watching a bunch of streamers, mostly due to ending up being dragged into the DreamSMP which has sent me down a rabbit hole that I don’t think I’ll escape from.

I’m pretty friendly and I try to be nice to people (even though experience tells me that people are horrible which has given me issues).

I write fic and I post it all here, though I also post on ao3 although not as much. I used to write bandom stuff, but I’ve pretty much abandoned that due to how toxic the fandom has become. I’ve also posted a bunch of The Umbrella Academy stuff but for some reason the second season didn’t inspire me as much. So right now my head is filled with ideas of DreamSMP stuff so… oop.

What else do I post? Mostly other than fic it’s random nonsense. I do try and post every week on Saturdays with a thing called song Saturdays which is usually me posting one of more songs or music videos. Today’s one will probably be later but here’s the taglist if anyone is interested.

I also do posted about Doctor Who eps as I watch them so there’ll be one of Eve Of The Daleks either later or tomorrow. I also do them as I go through the collection blu rays and I’m currently watching the latest one which is season 17 (with the next ep being City Of Death).

If any of that sounds interesting, feel free to add because I’d love to make new connections and friends.

So like I said I hope everyone had a nice New Years Eve. Mine was mostly spent bundled up and flitting through streams which included. Technoblade reaching 10 million subscribers (yay!), Quackity reaching 6 million (let’s go!), Tommyinnit doing a short stream that descended into chaos and ending in Natewantstobattle playing Jackbox.

I also watched Technoblade’s vid where he said he had cancer and it gave me feels. I knew he had (and only really heard of him after the fact) but it was still… but I’m so glad his treatment seems to be going well.

I ended up watching the new year stuff on bbc1 which included Years and Years which was pretty good. Olly’s hair looked… odd, but it was cool he wore a skirt thing and I’m sure it pissed off some idiots. The actual new year thing included some ABBA songs which, as always, makes me wanna watch Mamma Mia, which I might do sometime soon since it’s been awhile.

It’s sad that Betty White has died though. I’ve not watched much of her stuff but she was always great in what I saw. I think The Golden Girls is on Disney + and I’ve not seen it so I might give it a watch. Lake Placid is also on horror channel next week so I’ll be watching that too.

Today is gonna be spent checking out The Lost Symbol and then watching a bunch of stuff, including new Who, Bake Off and Taskmaster.

I also got my monthly Xbox credit from Xbox rewards and promptly used it to get the Dead By Daylight Resident Evil dlc from the sale so I’ve now got Leon on there! I’ll be so using him soon on it (and had to give him the pride charm)

First what is everyone looking forward to in 2022? Second is did anyone make New Years resolutions?

I’m looking forward to the two gigs I’ve got booked, Set It Off and Kill The Lights. Because Set It Off are so awesome and Maxx is amazing, but the gig has been put back…. So many times even before the pandemic (so much so it’s been renamed completely causa the new album, which I’m also super looking forward to) with Kill The Lights I’ve heard only a few of the songs, but had to get the ticket because Jay James dis their new bassist and I missed him so many.

I’m curious where the DreamSMP will go with its lore and I’m gonna try and catch up on the many many MANY things I’ve missed in it. (The prison break was the first thing of it I saw live and it was so exciting.) I’m also looking forward to Quackity’s uk vlog which is being posted tomorrow.

I’m curious about the new Star Wars stuff coming and still need to finish some of the recent stuff. Oops

And Breath Of The Wild 2 and Tunic is coming out this year, which I’m super excited about!

Plus I’m super excited to get the new Lego minecraft sets. I really want the new one with the axolotls, they’re so cute!

(I’m sure I’m missing something but those are the main things)

As for resolutions. I wanna game more. I wanna go through my watch lists of doom (I have so many things in my Netflix, prime and shudder lists to watch) and I have a bunch of books I need to read too. Oop.
