Don’t jinx it

So today might be a slight sign of improvement. This morning pokemon diamond came (though the freebies are held up which is a little annoying) so I’ve played some of that this afternoon. I’ve just got to the first gym so might do that before bed (I was gonna go on ESO but the servers seem down for maintenance, boo!)

I also got my first assessment marked. It actually came through yesterday but my energy wasn’t there to check it, especially since I felt I’d done badly. This was confirmed in my head when I had an email from my tutor with the subject ‘checking in’ but then it said I’d ep done well so I checked and… it was 88. I dunno how but, yeah.

Last night before taskmaster mum’s friend from the library called and offered to take us with her to town on a trip Monday so I guess we’re doing that then. It means going early which is a little annoying but…

But yeah I guess that was better than the morning started and the loud sounds from outside.

So since I’ve seen a few people mention Christmas stuff, I figured I may as well do a semi one here. So if anyone wants a Christmas fic lemme know here.

I've been trying to get inspired to write a winter-based something or other, but nothing's coming. I'll probably just link my existing Yule fics when December hits or something. (I have....three, I think? No bandom stuff though.)

It probably doesn't help that I'm obsessed with exactly two things right now: BVB (because of the AWESOME SHOW I finally got to see this week) and Dune (because of the movie, and now reading the book finally).

88 is good, yeah? I don't remember how those numbers work in UK vs US. What does going "into town" mean? Like for Christmas shopping or running errands or just for fun?

Mums friend has decided she wants to go into town for a trip (I dunno if there’s any specific reason she’s going) and just thought we might like to go with her. It’ll probably just be for a few hours but I haven’t been there in over a year. Hopefully they’ll have something nice!

Dune is weird. I think I liked it? I can't stop thinking about it in any case. I've tried to read the book before and confused and then frustrated and then bored, but just last night I finished the first "book" (the first novel is divided into three books) so yeah, I'm in for the long haul now. It's fascinating!

Well have fun! It's something different anyway, right?
