Here are the ones they picked
1: Balz Messenger
This is Josh Balz from Motionless In White. He was their keyboardist until 2017. I saw pics of him onstage with this wrap thing (I’m not sure sure what the deal is with him wearing it) and I just liked the look of it. I used to write this series for fics set in an au (where bdsm was in the normal and torture/killing was a part of life, think the mirror universe from Star Trek but with kink). I added him into it in one of the last fics of it that I did. The intention was that he was a Messenger which meant he had kinda supernatural abilities (to see when things crossed into that world). I was never able to follow up on that and elaborate it, but the icon remains (and I still like it so...)
2: Askeroth Bloody
This is Askeroth, the German singer of the band Nachtblut. I don’t expect anyone to know who he is or who they are, I never heard of them until my ex-friend introduced them to me. They’re are a rock/metal band that sings in German and they’re pretty good. One of the things that, oddly appealed to me is something that Askeroth does on stage. He takes a bite from a heart and rubs the blood over himself. Now, I don’t like meat and usually I can’t stand to look at the stuff and yet him doing that.... it’s hot for some reason. I have no idea idea why.
3: Tuck Flames
This is Matt Tuck and he’s the lead singer/guitarist of Bullet For My Valentine. They’re a band from Wales, who I love (especially their ex bassist Jay) and I used to write about them a lot, so I felt I needed an icon for each member, even Matt who was the one I like least. Matt is, by all accounts,a bit of an account prick and can get quite controlling in the studio and stuff (you can tell by interviews he dominates the conversation whenever he’s in it). Anyway, I liked this photo shoot that they did, which involved flames (it might’ve been around the time of their second album which had fire in the title and a single with fire too) and it felt like I nice one to use. (I’m surprised I have 3 icons of Tuck on here actually but ah well).

4: Virta Fluffy troll
This is Virta from the band Finntroll, where he plays keyboards. Like Nachtblut they’re not someone I expect you guys have heard of since they’re a Finnish band. They’re also, like Nachtblut, a band that the same ‘friend’ introduced me too. Bah. Anyway, Virta’s my favourite member, in part because of his soft fluffy hair and because he is so cute. You can see in the icon the troll ears that the band wear on stage as part of their thing. I saw them on their last uk tour (one of th beets gigs I’ve been to) and I met him outside and his voice was so deep. They seem to have been inactive for awhile though and, without that ‘friend’ for updates I dunno what’s going on
5: Ilan Smirk
This is Ilan Rubin, who I love because look at him. He’s so cute and looks like a mini Ray. I was introduced to him years ago when he joined Lostprophets as their new drummer. From the moment I saw him I was interested. He left the band before the.... issues happened and he’s drummed with various other bands since. He also has a project of his own called the New Regime where he plays every single instrument and sings. He is super fucking talented and it’s a shame not more people have heard his stuff.
6: Lando Grin
So this is young Lando from Solo, he’s one of my newest icons. From the moment I saw the trailer for Solo, I loved Lando, played by Donald Glover in the film. He’s my favourite character in it and he was awesome in every scene. I would absolutely love for him to have a solo film because that would be amazing! I knew when I was doing icons and needing a new Star Wars one that he’d have to be included among them, so I found a cap of him and did a quick icon..

7: Adam Chain Collar
This is Adam Lambert, from a performance on the Queen tour with a chain collar on. As soon as I saw he wore one iI knew I had to icon it because ngh. Alas, though there weren’t many good pics, but he looks nice being bent over like that. Adam is one of the few artists that I’ve wanted to see for years but I’ve not seen live. I really hope he does a solo tour for his new album so I could see because he is so sweet
8: Jay/Padge Schoolboys
This is Jay James and Padge from Bullet For My Valentine. I have always loved Jay, I don’t know what it is about him, but there’s something about him that I love. A few years before he left Bullet they did a mini mag with AP, which featured this photo shoot of the band as schoolboys. Unfortunately there’s not many pictures from the shoot. This one is a good one though with Jay’s fist. I usually think of Jay as a bottom (after all he made pretty cocksucking faces while onstage) but the idea of him fisting someone is pretty hot. Alas he has vanished. Since leaving Bullet (or as I believe, kicked out) he hasn’t been heard from, which is a shame. I hoped he’d get a new band, especially since so many Welsh bands fragmented at the time but... alas. It’s sad.

This is Duncan James from Blue. Now, wayyyyy back, when I was in high school, Blue showed up on the scene (they were a British boyband). I remember first seeing them on SM:TV and I was... enamoured. It was the time I was starting to notice guys and Duncan was one of the first guys I was attracted to (jointly with Lee). Because of them I found out about fic and my very first fic was of those two banging (sometimes with the others). So without Blue I’d not be doing what I do (although I’m sure another band or other would have triggered the realisation) as such they hold a special place even now. This icon is from an Attitude photo shoot years later (they did a number of shoots where the boys were naked and this was from a solo one. The shoot was especially important to me because it was an interview where he came out as bi and my heart sang.

10: Ray Eyepatch, Jet Eyepatch
This is, as you’ll all know, Ray Toro as Jet Star from a promo shot for the SING video. Since you know doubt know who Ray is (the awesome guitarist of MCR) I won’t go into detail about him. As soon as I saw the picture of him I knew I had to icon it. He looks amazing and the eyepatch is just so hot. I dunno why it is, but he looks so amazing. Ray’s always been so sexy to me but for some reason the patch makes him look moreso. I do wonder what the state of his eye is under it. I’ve said before, but I really wish they’d done more Killjoys videos. They could totally have done a lot more with them (or even done like FOB with Youngblood) but no they had to go and ‘die’. (In my head, though, they didn’t die and were instead kept prisoner/used but that’s just me.)

This is Oli Sykes, singer/screamer of Bring Me The Horizon. When I got a paid account here I tried to add icons of all the people that I’d possibly fic about. Oli was one, though I never did fic about him properly. In truth, I’ve not really listened to them in awhile either. I’ve not even heard any of their new stuff properly. I might soon (I’m thinking of doing a Sykecest fic, when I get inspired.) I generally use this icon when I’m being thoughtful since that’s how he looks, thoughtful but in a sad way.

This is the tattoo of Jay James from Bullet For My Valentine, who I mentioned above. I adore his lizard tattoo, it’s one of the hottest tatts I’d ever seen (the next closest were Ashley Purdy’s Outlaw one, Calvin Roffey’s chest piece and, before he turned out to be... well, Ian Watkin’s guns). Anyway, yeah, I love his lizard tatt. So many fics I’ve done of him mention it or include some focus on it (someone licking it or shooting over it). So yeah, I had to have an icon of it 💜

13: Ray Sex Hair
So about a month ago I saw the pic I used to make this icon and it was just... ngh. I loved it. Ray’s hair looked so messy and he had an expression of... I’ve just been throughly fucked by my band. The others looked pleased with themselves too, further proving the thought to my pervy brain. So of course I had to icon it and there we go 💜
14: Mirror Georgiou Emperor
This is Mirror Philippa Georgiou from Star Trek Discovery. I knew I wanted a Discovery icon for when I posted reviews/thoughts of this season. Since Georgiou, especially the mirror one, was my favourite character of the series (and she was coming back) I figured it was appropriate. Her outfit as the Terran Emperor is so awesome, with lots of intricate detail and I love how ruthless she is (typical of mirror universe people)
15: Harry Cuffs
This is Harry styles of One Direction. I wanted an icon of him for when I posted a fic of him for my friends and this pic seemed appropriate (since, cuffs!). He’s such a cute sweetie and I kinda wished I’d got into him when 1D were around. They kinda passed me by, alas (I knew of them but never really paid attention to them). He’s so pretty.
