The world keeps spinning around
Feb. 10th, 2022 01:10 pmThe other day Kill the lights posted that they had a game to the new song, which is a bit strange. It’s a runner type game which made me think of the one Waterparks did. I’m not too great at it, but what I love is that there’s a little 8Bit Jay for it! Which is so cute! I might give it another go sometime.
Yesterday was the book of boba finale and I’m not gonna post spoilers but I thought it was a pretty great finale. I hope there’s a season 2 and Pelli is awesome. I think she’s one of my fav characters. I am still irked that the sanctuary got bombed last week though.
Nintendo Direct was last night and there wasn’t anything super special that caught my eye, though I definitely think the new Kirby game looks pretty and cool. They’re doing packs of new courses for Mario Kart which just seems odd to me. Why not do a new game since Mario Kart 8 is several years old now? It seems to be just courses too not any new characters too (and most of the courses seem to be remasters from older games instead of new ones).
Ranboo did a stream last night at some kind of event and I only saw a bit of it but I felt so sorry for him. It sounded like such a sensory overload. It makes me a bit iffy about cons and such, because I’m not sure I’m ready for that. (Although I still wanna go to Insomnia for Wilbur.)
It seems there’s gonna be new Futurama eps which is Good news everyone! I’m definitely excite! Also Disenchantment is up on Netflix so I’ll have to start that soon. (It’s one of those shows that I manage to get through fairly quick when I do start it).
Last night I watched the new Resident Evil film, Welcome To Racoon City since it came Monday. First off, it’s got nothing to do with the other Resident Evil films so you can watch it on its own. It more closely follows the games, complete with some of the set pieces and the time period (it’s set in the late 90’s).
I had to admit I was a little sceptical (not necessarily because of the casting, even though some people look so different to the game characters) but because it condensed the first two games into one film. After watching it I think it works, though I would have liked to see more in the mansion.
All in all I really liked it, despite some of the oddness to it (the effects in some in places are a tad iffy) and there’s definitely promise for there to be more with it (especially with that video they find of… well). Apparently the writer/director wants to do something based on Resident Evil 4 and I’m definitely down for that because Leon is so pretty and I’d like to see more of him.
I went to town today since mums friend came and I could use her bus ticket. Good things, I got the Lego minecraft magazine (especially since it was the last one there) and some bits from Iceland and such. But Smiths didn’t have the doctor who yearbook, damnit. And I got some lil succulents, let’s see if I can keep them alive.
But now I’m tired from being outside and around people.
Hopefully I can finish fic later.
Speaking of fic I forgot to include it in the last post here is the Ray fic I mentioned. I support Ray’s thotty summer.
