Last night was the new Taskmaster and it was hilarious already. I can tell this is gonna be a good group. I loved Victoria’s epic dart throw. I’m torn between rooting for Desiree and Alan, though I’m notoriously bad at guessing who will win.

It was funny they accidentally put the beeped version on, which made Twitter a bit crazy.

Later on there was the Nintendo direct. There’s a few interesting things in it, the new Kirby game looks good and I hadn’t realised the Hyrule Warriors update season pass stuff was live (I need to get it sometime). There’s an ‘expansion’ to the online service which seems like it’ll just be more money to add N64 and Sega stuff. Not sure how I feel about that (I’d definitely prefer if there was the 3ds versions of OOT and MM).

However one of the two big things was the reveal that there’s a new Animal Crossing update adding Brewster and it’s getting it’s only presentation which no doubt means there’s more coming to the game. I hope it lets you have a bigger island and more villagers. There’s also gonna be a full new series of amiibo cards, which seems odd. The current new characters is only around 8 villagers and about 6 special ones and the amiibo cards have 100 in the series. Does that mean more characters are being added? Perhaps even the special amiibo characters that weren’t in the game from Zelda and Splatoon? Maybe. All the more reason for more space.

The other big thing is the reveal of the cast list for the Mario animated film out next year and… I’m not sure how I feel about Chris Pratt as Mario. I mean I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt until there’s a trailer but why not use Marino’s voice actor for him? (He is involved somehow though)

I ended up tired last night so didn’t do much after that. I did have a strange dream. We were walking Naryu and I saw a stag beetle, which I’ve never seen in person before. However this one wasn’t a normal one, it was huge (close to Naryu’s size). I wonder if it means anything, it was definitely strange.

Mum heard from someone that there was a field with alpacas so we went looking for that today and managed to find it, though it was a bit out of the way. There were about 5 in the field and they were quite far away, with two of them sitting down and watching us. They shared the field with donkeys and one came up to us and had some pets which was cute.

Remember how yesterday I mentioned there was a mystery package that I couldn’t figure out? Well today that mystery has been solved. I went on Amazon to check about something I’d ordered and it said it had been delivered yesterday. I puzzled over it for a second, before realising that the mystery thing was it. It wasn’t what I ordered, so I’ve sent a message to get it sorted or a refund but yeah. That’s that solved.

I had a doze cause walking to the alpacas was tiring and woke to find that RTD is coming back to Doctor Who! At first I thought it was a joke or something but nope, its official. I wonder if that means there’ll be spin offs or anything, that’d be awesome. (Though I don’t expect Torchwood to be back alas)

I suppose what I mean is that we talk about specifically men who have been called out for bad behaviour losing their careers over the call-out, but that's never ever been the case. They rarely suffer consequences at all and go on to have Netflix specials, national tours, TV shows, etc. etc. They're always complaining that "cancel culture" robbed them of their livelihoods when that literally has never happened. It's true that people from marginalised groups who get "cancelled" do, actually, end up losing livelihoods and I should have clarified that.
