Going forward any posts with bandom content/rambles (bar fics and song saturdays) will be locked, tagged and put under a cut.

I got next to no sleep last night, only a few hours, I won’t elaborate on either of those things.

I just got back from getting meds and he. I got them but popping into sainsburys after felt like a bit of a wasted trip, even though I was able to get Naryu’s food. It didn’t help that it was so damn warm in there, ugh.

I might order some Lego since they didn’t have anything there. Maybe.

And then when I came back my bracelet broke, ugh

So yeah, I. Short I’m tired and pretty grumpy. I might try and get a nap this afternoon but I doubt it. Hopefully the direct later will cheer me up. I’m gonna put on the Mallorca files now and build the Lego blind bags I did get.

I've had to significantly pull back from some fandom-related stuff (not bandom, but I don't think I'm into it in the same direction as you), and there are definitely perks to being a Fandom of One. Half of Film Twitter is arguing over crap that neither side seems to realize is a lot more nuanced than they think it is right now, and I might have to unfollow a LOT of people just to get away from it.

I wish people were better. Hang in there.

I don’t blame you fandom is a mess right now. I’ve definitely become hugely disillusioned with bandom over recent years to the point I don’t wanna interact with new people or write new stuff. Oh no, what’s been going on?

I keep saying I'm gonna write something about toxic fandom culture in the wake of Tumblr and Twitter and whatever else, because I do think the format for how we interact with each other made a huge difference, but I keep putting it off. One day...

Ugh, just some bullshit about the new Cruella DeVille movie, and some bullshit about old movies in general--different discussions, similar levels of bullshit. I'm just looking at both sides and going, "Wow, you're BOTH wrong. How do you not realize that?" It's frustrating.

Me either. I don't particularly want to. If they're trying to give someone who literally kills puppies a tragic backstory, I'm not interested. If they've completely rewritten her character so that she *doesn't* kill puppies--not interested in that either.

I think at this point it's probably best to take a step back from bandom in places other than here. You shouldn't have to, but there's no point taking a stand when it leads to you feeling so down and getting attacked.

Enjoy it with people who feel the same way, otherwise, you'll lose any love for the fandom you ever had.
