I’ve gotten to England on Valhalla and a I’ve been working my way through the Alliance with Soma questline, which I hope to finish tonight so I can do the Yule festival.

This morning was back to doing uni reading which was stuff from the week before Christmas. The OU messed with their passwords so I and many others had no access to the accounts so I’m having to do that today and tomorrow.

I’m gonna try and do reading in the weekday afternoons. I meant to continue the new From A Certain Point Of View, but instead read some from the last Who magazine. The new one is out this week and it’s focused on The Master with info on the new boxset.

I missed the High Republic livestream so I’m gonna watch it tonight. It’s looking good so far though who knows when I’ll read the stuff cause I’m so far behind on my books.

I got a delivery today which was a late card and The Grudge and Men In Black International from zoom.ill watch the former one of the nights and the latter this weekend I think.

It’s looking like we’ll be going into another lockdown soon. We’ll see how that goes and if it comes with needed policies to help. Ha.

I’m annoyed that argos are having offers on Star Wars Lego but none of them are in stock here, not even for delivery. Damnit, this always happens.

How are you finding Valhalla in comparison to Odyssey? I'm enjoying it - I'm maybe only a little further than you as I've just completed the Alliance with Soma but I think I enjoy Eivor a little less as a character in comparison to Cassandra so I'm not as absorbed by the story. But I think it's still a good game.

I admit when I first saw Valhalla I wasn’t as interested as I was with Origins and Odyssey (cause I loved Ancient Egyptian/Greek stuff) which was one of the reasons I held off getting it.

I am enjoying it so far, perhaps not as much as Odyssey but we’ll see if that changes. My goal now is to unlock and do Yule festival stuff and then I might game switch

Ditto! I also am a little bit uncomfortable with the raiding of monasteries which seems like a big game mechanic. But it's still early days. The Yule add-in was a fun touch though, although I haven't done much.

I’m not familiar with the time period but I do know the monasteries hoarded wealth, though I’m surprised there’s no other options so far (surely there must be some sort of noble that has stuff to raid too)

I’ve had issues with Yule, I finished the Soma alliance then went back to my settlement, got the intro to Yule and then... nothing. It seems that there’s a bug so I’m having to reinstall the game to see if it shows up

Yeah, and we do have some fairly detailed accounts of Vikings raiding monasteries so it's not atypical. I dunno it just irks me slightly.

Hopefully, you managed to get the bug sorted in time.

Yeah I don’t generally go out anyway cept to get meds or shopping (and I prefer to get that delivered). But ugh yeah

I checked and our Argos doesn't have any of them in stock either (nor the really big one further away, either) - I think they maybe only have it in one or two shops in the country, so annoying.

Oh no that’s a shame! It’s always annoying when the Argos sales are like this. I bet they’ll either never have them back in stock or will just as the price goes back up
