shadowhive: (The Child Soup)
The last few days have been fairly uneventful, mostly because we were gearing up for today’s trip to Birmingham. So was it successful?

Yes. And no. And kinda.

First stop was the forbidden Planet I went to last time. This time they let you pick 4 comics instead of 3… but they didn’t have most of the ones I was looking for (despite some being used on the site banner, which is frustrating). I did get a Black Series Offworld Jawa though, which was on sale (and has proven to be quite rare).

Instead of going straight to the other forbidden planet like we were going to, we ended up going through TK. They had another Star Wars origami book and, to my surprise, a funko from Wetmore forest chest mcfreckle, so I had to get him.

The other forbidden planet gave free comic book day stuff in bags, so we didn’t know what we’d get. Unfortunately in both of ours there were 3 in both bags, out of four (and 1 of the other ones was one I’d picked up in the other one). I did get some graphic novels, 2 Assassins Creed and 2 Doctor Who, totalling £6 for all four.

We looked in pandora cause mum wanted to see the new bracelet/charms (since I get her stuff from there for xmas) so now I know what I’ll get her. The new Grogu charm is cute though.

Then we went towards the bullring and… ugh it was so loud. On top of being warm it was so annoying. There was someone playing drummers on the street, a weird installation that made noise, irritating preachers with loud speakers and in the ball ring there was some thing on the ground floor with loud music and just… Ugh.

The Lego store didn’t have the Mandalorian starfighter I was gonna get (though a nice guy did check in the back to make sure) though they did have the Lego owl which is cute. I named him Milo cause he’s spooky and has a grumpy face.

In hmv I checked for The Umbrella Academy and it seems it lacks any special features other than the cards, which feels like a big missed opportunity. There was really nothing they could put on there? No outtakes? Deleted scenes? Making ofs? Interviews? Here’s hoping there’s a version with them in future, because right now I don’t see the point getting it.

Disney store (like Lego) had changed its layout which is odd. Though it was nice to see the nightmare stuff. There’s a cute Zero which you can pop on your shoulder. The entertainer had starlink weapons so I got them, which was cheap.

Game had a Pokemon code (which I’d not seen publicised anywhere) so I got that and had a look. They had cute huggable Among Us crew mates, which I thought were so cute and I might get sometime.

And then we came home earlyish. We didn’t even check the statue thing outside the museum (mum was tired and didn’t wanna go). But yeah it was just hot and loud and tiring. And so many people, ugh.

We had dominos when we came back which was nice. I switched onions for pineapple on the veggie one cause I’ve not had pineapple on pizza in awhile. And I’ve got a nachos side which I’m gonna nom soon.

I’ve tried to see if the fcbd comics are on eBay and so far some are too much (being £8+) or from the US (being £10+ shipping) which is just… annoying. It makes me wonder if there been issues getting some of them. Ugh.

There’s a Kickstarter up in a few days called Flamecraft which is so cute cause dragons, but im not sure I’d have enough to pledge for it. Plus I dunno if I’d actually play it. But it’s so cute!

I got the summer punch card done on Xbox which is good and I used some of the reward points to get a gift card, which I used to get the stranger things dead by daylight edition so now I have that permanently, woo! I meant to game more but I’ve still been tired (and I need watch lower decks)

Though I did do some on Skyward Sword and healed the water dragon which is yay! I forgot you had to backtrack to the first dungeon for it. I might do the next dungeon or comic read tomorrow.

I’m watching the Last Leg and it’s amusing seeing Duncan in every ep, which was so unexpected. And yesterday someone misspelled Australia as Austria on the medal table.
