shadowhive: (Dan/Quinn Making out)
The rest of yesterday wasn’t too special really. I wrote a little but not much (enough to finish up the main first section of the fic though) and we did have strawberries which were so nice. The highlight of last night’s tv was the thing on itv with Judi Dench in Borneo. I love stuff about nature and animals and there were so many in it. Plus she’s awesome, she went up one of the massive trees!

I just felt so exhausted yesterday. I ended up sleeping after watching an ep of Lucifer.

I woke this morning, all soft and comfy and I just... didn’t wanna leave the bed. Alas, I had to get up and headed out, leaving just before 10:30 for the bus. On the trip I read the last two Galaxy’s Edge issues, which were both pretty good. The first had Greedo (actually hitting targets and using a lightsaber!) and the other featured Hondo (And Chirrut who was a badass as always).

When I was a kid, I’d used to go to Wolverhampton a few times a year, but I’ve not been in over a year. In some ways it’s kinda like a ghost town, with some stores gone and part of the shopping centre empty (since last time both WH Smith’s and Argos are gone now). There were a few places there that I wanted to go to, so I made sure to hit them all up before the assessment.

I went to cex to pick up the Descendants films, but I got a few other things too. I got Saw 3D on blu Ray (it was £1, I already have it on dvd but I’ve not actually watched it since I saw it in the cinema), Moulin Rouge for mum and the Doctor Who blu Ray Shada.

After that we hit up the Entertainer and I got a few things I saw on the site, 3 funkos from Solo (Beckett, Val, Enfys) and two figure sets (Han and Chewie, Rebolt and a Corellian hound). From the works I got a colouring book and two craft things. From Forbidden Planet I got the new Finn comic, which I read on the way home (it captures him so well and is a great little read and was so sweet).

Then we went to the assessment which was, ugh. I hate the whole process because it was so nerve wracking. At least the lady that did it seemed nice enough, though I’m sure I’ve missed out some things. I tried to be as open as I could be, in hopes they’ll see how much my depression does effect me so we can only hope it goes ok.

After that I was hungry so we went to McDonald’s to eat, which I really need it. After that mum went in m and s so I used the free wi fi to go on Pokemon go (catching a bunch of things) and I decided to check cex. There’s a second store in Wolverhampton (in the same shopping centre even) and they had the latest old Who ep, the Macra terror, so I decided to swing back around and pick it up (and mortal instruments, even though I’ve seen it on Netflix since it was only £1). After wandering around a bit more we got on the bus home,

I’m so glad to be home bundled up. I’ve had a little nap and I’m so exhausted from it all. I’ll probably have an early night after the usual Wednesday things, but I’ll get to watching stuff tomorrow. At least tomorrow I can rest a bit. Mum’s friend is coming Friday so that will be... well, she can be pretty loud. We’re meant to see Spider-Man Saturday but it depends on the weather mostly.
