I ended up dozing this afternoon after the last post so I’ve not fixed as much as I wanted. I did watch Picard though, albeit later than usual.
Narek has finally showed his true, manipulative colours at last. Which has meant he activated Soji by mistake because he killed her in a method that gave her chance to escape. A mistake on his part or intentional? His sister continues to clearly want to peg him though. Just get a room
Unf. Rios toplesss again, thank you whoever decided on that. Though ugh him and Agnes. Still, at least he’s a good guy and never pushed her and when she reconsidered he was fine with it (and then of course she changes her mind).
Elnor is cute, though of course he disobeys. I hope he’ll be ok my poor sweet boy.
But this was a very Picard heavy ep and rightly so. The visual at the start with Locutus’ face over his own, was such a good touch, as was his obvious fear about going to the artifact. It was nice to see him meeting Hugh and approving of what he was doing. And then he escaped with Soji from the Borg queen’s cell, using tech from a delta quadrant species. So this cube is clearly a recent one.
I’m wondering if that Romulan ship that got assimilated by it wasn’t the reason for its capture somehow.
But yeah I’m looking forward to seeing what happens. We still have no answers as to who Agnes is working for or why she did what she did. Or why the synths did what they did. Hopefully we’ll find out soon.
