So today turned out to be a day.

It started out well enough. I decided to channel Klaus and do a semi cosplay of him, so I put on my leather trousers, Umbrella Academy tee from qwerty and wrote hello and goodbye on my hands.

So off I went at 9 in the morning, which is an unholy time to be up on and outside on a Sunday. Ugh. I went even earlier than I was going to and I put on mcr while waiting for the bus replacement (and started another fic instead of working on the one from the meme I was working on).

I was worried a little, because travelling to Birmingham Sunday is a nightmare. For some reason before 12 it’s a bus replacement which is unreliable as fuck. Thank fuck it came and as it went some cosplayers came on so I was like, yes good. I ended up writing a bit on the train, going between the two fics I’m working on (both dark fics, both very different).

Anyway, I got there, everything seemed perfectly fine. (Although I got mixed up at the station why!) I got to the nec, everything was fine.

Now the comic con this time seemed smaller in comparison to the last one. There seemed to be less there and the layout was different. My main thing though was to get my bearings which was easy enough and when I got to the live stage I saw that Emmy was doing a talk. Now her talk was meant to be yesterday but I thought nothing of it and I sat down and listened to it (since I couldn’t see all that much).

Things from it:
*She prefers dogs to cats and she has two, one is a labradoodle
*She likes coffee yogurt (or ice cream?)
*She prefers Star Wars to Trek, shed love to be in it sometime
*She’s been blown away by the reaction to the show, especially since it’s been her first tv thing
*The throat slitting scene was done in one take
*Her part dance scene in ep one was filmed at the same time as Tom’s (the plane falling wasn’t in the script but he did it by accident and they had to keep it)
*They showed a clip from yesterday with Tom and they played the song and cosplayers came up and danced and Tom did his head movement aww
*Emmy would have liked to do more scenes with Hazel and Cha Cha, she’s have liked more with the Handler too.
*Her fight with Cha Cha was Mary’s first day
*There was a scene filmed that confirmed she rumoured Patrick into loving her and it got cut
*How Allison gets on with Klaus and Diego, she lets Diego get on with it because that’s who he is. She sees that Klaus needs help and wants to but isn’t sure how to because Klaus can deflect when she tries.
*She mentioned Justin specifically as one of the cast she got on with as they lived in the same area.
*No word on season 2 though she would like there to be (she also said that she couldn’t if she wanted to)

Additional remembering:
*she loved the day that wasn’t being rewound and hopes that Allision and Luther get together again. And during the dance she stepped on Tom’s feet by accident!
*She hopes to do the con again with more of the cast too

After that I wandered around a bit before swinging to the autograph area. I thought it was strange that Tom’s poster wasn’t there but thought nothing of it. Emmy wasn’t there yet either so I wandered some more, got some Star Wars stuff. I got Thrawn, a Resistance pilot and the Solo force link bands.

After awhile I returned to the autograph area and Emmy was there so I joined the queue. (A selfie with her is £20 which, ouch. I passed). One of the stewards commented on my tee, so I asked about Tom and they told me he wasn’t there to play and the panel had been moved to yesterday. That sucked since I came today especially for it even though it was a pain. The twitter hadn’t mentioned anything about it either or the site, which sucks. I hope they put it up.

She was nice though and she’d never seen the Nme before so she had a little flick through it (‘is everyone in this?’ She asked me.) I let her know I binged it in a weekend and how much we were all looking forward to more and she was so grateful.

So without Tom or the panel I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do. I did wander a bit more. I got two zbox things for £10, but the contents weren’t great. I did get to try some booze though, I sampled everything and it was so nice. I got the last bottle of blueberry for mother’s day because I’m nice like that (it’s one I didn’t get to try but blueberry!)

Some of the cosplay was wild. I saw an onix, ewoks, jawas, a few Klauses and other random stuff. They even had a store selling outfits that were... ngh.

Anyway, I ended up getting more things, including two Rebels pops (for £5 each!) and before I left two more black series figures, Qi’ra and Val (who I’d not seen until today).

I had one other panel to go to, which was with the voices of Ash and Zelda which was pretty fun. It was nice and cool too and I ended up eating during it. Thankfully the wi fi at the con was better this time too. Anyway the panel was fun, Veronica was hilarious and there were some good questions about voice acting (and damn the business seems so wrong:/). And there was fun moments because a giant pikachu was there at the back too (‘am I the only one that can see that!’). And it was funny because the moderator was called Stuie too.

So yeah after that I was tired and ended up drifting to the station (stopping to get those figures) and I made my way home. I wrote a little more but not much.

Now I’m just bundled up and gonna watch Blue Planet and maybe continue The Umbrella Academy tonight. We’ll see. I also sent comic con an email about poor communication but we’ll see.

Anyway, I’m flop and sticky in leather so I’m gonna snuggle now.
