The full force of the academy

A quick fly by post really. I’m currently watching the Xbox gr charity stream which is here they’ve currently raised 72% of their goal which is so awesome. The sound is a bit quiet on one of the streamers even when my laptop is at full volume but otherwise it’s pretty fun.

I’ve done a few donations and got 9 codes. Their code list is here? I kinda wish I’d gone for Metro before they’d gone but I’d wanted to see gameplay first, ah well well. I definitely recommend Shantae and Yoku’s Island Express.

I ended up doing another The Umbrella Academy fic and posted it on ao3 as well as here. Already it’s got almost 50 kudos which is so awesome. I love how positive the fandom is for fic already and it’s nice to know it gets read (sure I always prefer comments but getting so many kudos is still an amazing feeling). It’s more than both of the Freard fics combined which is an awesome feeling. I definitely wanna do more Diego/Klaus so if anyone has any ideas, hit me up.

(And I really want umbrellakink to take off. It seems mine is the only fill so far which is a shame and I’m not sure if the person that requested it has even seen yet.)

That brings me to another thing that someone mentioned on twitter. Someone mentioned doing a fic for someone and then them not getting a response back for it. I’m not sure if it was for a specific request for that person, but it still struck me as odd. If you make a request and a person takes time to do you a fic the least you could do is read it. (I get that people do have other stuff to do sometimes, but if you’re being active and still don’t read it.... that’s just odd.)

Last night I ended up finishing The Dragon Prince season 2 which gah! Of course it ended on a cliffhanger and there’s now a super hot (possibly evil?) elf in it. I also finished the first episode of the council which was pretty good, it’s definitely intruiging and I hope to do more soon.

My geek credentials showed today as I identified the Star Wars theme even though it was coming from downstairs and guessed the episode right from a few seconds of opening music (and the sound of TIEs).

Now I’m gonna do a quick ficlet as I watch the stream.

It's SO RUDE when the prompter/requester doesn't respond (when they haven't fallen down a life-well or something awful). I don't get how people can be so unaware of how they're coming across to the world at large when they do that.
