shadowhive: (Maxx Hoodie horns)

So I was gonna do the next snowflake but, much like the list one, my mind had gone ‘file not found’ with ideas so I might make it with the next snowflake post instead and double up.

Boiler repair update, we got this weird text message yesterday (it was sent to the house phone also was auto read out) and we got a person to come. The message said 8pm, but he came at 5 instead. He confirmed what we thought: that the issue was with the thermostat. So a new one has to be sorted. When will that happen? I dunno but we didn’t have a call or anything today. Let’s see if it’s sorted before the meter is replaced Monday.

Anyway, the daytime part of yesterday was fairly good.

There was the finale of Skeleton Crew, which was so good. Plus we got B-wings in action! B-wings! They’re one of my favourite of the -wing starfighters and yet they’re woefully unused so it was nice to see them along with x-wings. But yeah, the finale was really good and, again, it’s in large part to the talented kid actors they’ve assembled. I would like to see them again and a second season with them would be nice, but if it doesn’t? It can standalone because it’s told a full story.

Also my Shoto merch finally came! It’s a hoodie (which im keeping in the cute back till the theater trip) a plushie keyring and a few postcard, and they all look nice.

There’s also going to be an Animal a crossing event at sea life centres around the Uk, which sounds fun. I’m hoping to go to the Birmingham one, but I dunno when. It might be free comic book day but it might be too much for that day (especially was it’ll be a weeekend).

I also started Five Little Pigs yesterday afternoon too. I read the intro and few chapters and a few more today. It’s interesting as a first book to read, because I can so clearly picture the Poirot episode that adapted it, even with the knowledge that brings it’s an interesting read so far and I’m looking forward to read more.

I also had an email reminding me about the Madina Lake tour that’s next month. There is a Birmingham date to it and I would like to see them again (despite not listening to them awhile) but it’s at a venue I’ve not been to and I am concerned about going cause of my back. Yeah it’d be four weeks away so I should be a bit better but ??

Of course I also have Set It Off two weeks later, which I’ve got my ticket for and I’m not giving that up. They have a VIP thing though, with a meet and greet thing as an option but I dunno if it’d be worth it. (Has anyone done a paid meet and greet in general, with any band? And would you say it’s worth doing?) but I’m looking forward to it, I’m hopefully there won’t be issues like a their last gig was but we’ll see.

Anyway! Last night I was intending to do other things, but then my back started to hurt so I ended up going upstairs and laying down. Sleep was decent for a few hours (until about 4) but from then on it was very on and off and Leia was curled on my hip so I couldn’t really move. Ugh.

Today has been a slow day. The odd sleep has made my focus off (though I did manage to read) and there ahas been the announcement of the Switch 2. There’s gonna be a direct in a few months, but I hope there’ll be a different version as well as the basic one in the trailer. Like, I like the joycons being different colours and the basic one is pretty much all black so looks a bit.. eh? But i guess we’ll see in April in the direct.

Now it’s time to watch the Traitors and then? I dunno it’ll depend if my back has more issues or not.

I guess that's good at least the boiler has been looked at. Hopefully, the actual repair will happen soon, too.

Btw, did my Christmas card ever reach you? I sent quite a few to people in the UK and as of now only one person has said they've received them.

Oh no, that doesn't sound good!

And no failing, I know you've had a lot on lately.
