This post is gonna be a bunch of things. The last part is gonna be a heavy topic so will be under a cut so people can avoid.

First, I have medical news. When I was at the gig mum chased the medical centre up so now I have a date for the second biopsy. It’s New Years Eve at 11am, at the place that was a bitch to get to. Mums friend has agreed to take us which is sweet of her but, honestly? I don’t think it’ll happen. I mean come on it’s on New Year’s Eve, I suspect it’s gonna be cancelled as something will go wrong/someone won’t turn up/something else. It’s also not the date I’d have gone for if I’d had a choice. But hey if it happens, then it happens.

Earlier in the week the new Sonic 3 trailer went up and ahhh it’s so good. I’m super hyped for it and I really can’t believe that they actually gave Shadow a gun. It’s so wild.m definitely gonna watch it as soon as I can, though the local cinema is being a bit odd (it only has times till Sunday, when it usually has till Wednesday or Thursday so??)

Next week is gonna be busy and tiring. I have a stint at the library which at least means I can do some reading (what will I take to read? I dunno. Maybe a graphic novel and I Want That Twink Obliterated since I’ve not read it other than a bit of the first story). Then Wednesday (or Thursday) I’m gonna be going to town with mum and Friday I had to pick up a jacket thing she’s ordered.

It does mean I dunno when I’ll watch Skeleton Crew. I was hoping to watch it on release but it might be a few days late so I’ll have to avoid spoilers. Ugh.

I’ve also got a few things to catch up on, junior Taskmaster, the last two deep space nine eps and I wanna get back on Echoes Of Wisdom.

I’m gonna reply to comments on the last post, then bundle and maybe fic, maybe watch something later.

But before I do the last thoughts, about Bob Bryar. (So Tw death but I won’t go into details unlike how some articles have.)

So I opened twitter this morning and I saw the news that Bob Bryar has died. At first I didn’t think it was a real thing but it seems that, yeah, he is gone. Honestly the whole thing is really sad. He was only found cause animal control heard about his dogs and… he’d been gone for some time. Which, that alone is enough to make you sick, especially how articles have been… lurid about it (I only read one but I’ve heard others are worse.)

He obviously was a big part of my time loving MCR until he left and, at the time I liked him. I still respect his contribution to the band of course.

More recently it seems he’s fell off the deep end, becoming isolated and bitter and being a dick. He’s not been the best person.

But no one deserves to die and be just… left like that.

And reaction of some mcr fans has honestly been appalling. There’s ones saying he deserved it, cheered about it, made jokes or memes. It just feels so… wrong. But then mcr fans, especially the later ones, don’t seem to care about being respectful and would rather turn to bullying instead which is everything the band stood against.

It’s just a strong reminder of why I don’t associate with the fandom and why I’ll probably stay away from them.

But yeah. Rip Bob. Hopefully he’s somewhere where he can find some sort of peace.

I really is, some people are just so awful! Thankfully no one I knew has but it still sucked to see

I'm upset about Bob's passing. Nobody deserves to have nobody check on them. And I know he became one of the worst versions of himself, but I think he might have been mentally ill. Also I've had two people in two different fandoms I was in die horrible deaths in a few months. And there's still time this year for a third, as a friend pointed out.

I really hope the appointment goes on as planned, just to get it out of the way sooner rather than later.

I'm glad I haven't seen anyone in my orbit reacting like that to Bob Bryar's death. He may not have been the best person but no one deserves an end like that. It's so terrible.

I hope so! Yeah at least there’s a date now, I honestly wasn’t expecting one anytime soon cause of this month being so annoying and busy.

When I was checking to see if it was true I saw a lot of comments sadly, thankfully not from people I knew but still… people are awful. And yeah it really is so awful

J has had some appointments on NYE over the years and in my experience, they've gone well as not as many people are there. So, hopefully, it'll be the same for you.

I'm thankful I've not seen any negative comments about Bob's death. People who think that it's funny are sick.

I'm not on Twitter anymore, and I haven't seen anything online about Bob's death, but one of my friends texted me. I . . . cannot identify a single emotion I'm having. I haven't heard any of the gruesome details and I kinda don't want to. Whatever happened is tragic, and that's all anyone needs to know.

And I know I've said this before, but: Your fandom experience when it comes to MCR is profoundly shittier than mine. You seem to be trapped in an alternate dimension with the worst of them. You don't have to be. GET OFF Twitter and Discord.

I can relate to that, I’ve had all kinds of feelings about it it really is so tragic

It kinda feels I stumble onto the words sides of it (it hasn’t helped that so many people I’ve known have turned out to be such dicks). But this time I only saw when I was trying to confirm it was actually true (I was sceptically of the first thing I saw) and of course, it decided I hate to see awful things (which I instantly blocked)

I only know what I've read here on DW but everything about Bob's death sounds deeply tragical.
