Small post since I feel tired (i just woke from a nap) and because last night I had a mood drop. I tried to mitigate it by starting j-horror rising, which I’ll mention in a separate post later (though before that there was stress with the Xbox controller)
So this morning I had a call.
Of course it was late, by only five minutes but still, and… ugh.
Basically as I’d been told before the results of the biopsy they did were inconclusive. So last week they had a meeting and have decided that they need another sample. Apparently what they removed was just the top and they want to dig around for more of it. They say they procedure will be like much like the last one but needing stitches.
Thai, of course, doesn’t ease my worry. I’d assumed that when they removed the thing that was all of what it was, so the fact they think that there’s enough left to justify this feels concerning. (Also shouldn’t they still have some of the thing to run tests on? Surely they didn’t use it all.)
They want it done in 4-6 weeks which, again, feels strange. Shouldn’t they wanna do it sooner to know what it is? (And now I have to have the healing undone to find out what it is). At the same time maybe the fact they haven’t fast tracked it should be a good sign (although maybe this IS fast tracking and it’s a damning indictment to our health services now).
But yeah that’s the result of the call. It’s not answered anything, just give me me more concerns and now I’ve got another procedure ahead. Fun.
Between that and the food se delivery coming has meant I’ve been exhausted all day which is so annoying. Though at least the Doctor Who Season 25 boxset came earlier.
But anyway gonna have noms and see if brain will work.

Date: 2024-10-30 12:52 pm (UTC)Have they done a scan of the area? If they haven't, that's a pretty big fuck up.
I had a cyst on my forehead removed and it was literally; dermatologist consultant, sonogram and a (horribly rude) surgeon. But the whole thing was removed, sent in its entirety for testing and I had stitches...

Awww I’m sorry saur that sounds like it was annoying. That was much like what I went through, though the guy that removed it wasn’t a surgeon and seemed ok. They didn’t do stitches just cauterised it, then sent it off for testing. (Lot of good that’s done though!) I hope your test results weren’t as unclear and stressful
