I’ve had it with these cakes on this plane!

So this is gonna be a more general post, then I’ll do the monthly round up one later or tomorrow.

So first off, mum seemed to feel a little better and can walk around the house more which is good. But then she did the morning at the library yesterday and it completely wiped her out so it’s clear she still needs time. The side effect is she has been going a bit stir craze (or was before yesterday and it’s just… you can’t rush these things and if you do it’ll make things worse and more drawn out.

We were thinking of going to Birmingham sometime this month (to use a sea life centre token) but it seems unlikely because it’s a good walk to the station and from the station to there (and there’s more walking) so I’m not confident we will until the end of the month at least. (We probably would’ve gone to one of the Birmingham festival things if we’d gone sooner but I’ve not had a proper look since it seems so unlikely).

The internet has continued to be a nuisance. Again it’s back to doing to brief disconnects and they happen at the worst times. There’s meant to be someone going to look at the line to sort it but I’ve not heard anything yet. They can’t have looked already because it happened last night and was just… ugh.

Thankfully the net didn’t die completely on Sunday for Dungeons and Dodongos which I had been worried about… however it did three brief disconnects instead which was so frustrating (including once when I was mid sentence!) and it was just so frustrating. It was still a fun time despite that and I’m feeling a bit more confident saying things but the disconnects did put me off a tad. (I had visions of going into a store, greeting the shopkeeper and then losing connection)

My head’s felt all headachey since Monday which isn’t fun. It’s at least partly due to the storm we had which made the air kinda heavy and staticky. It got so bad on Monday I had to go lie down.

A lot of this so far has been negative, but there has been some good things.

I was able to sort Apple Arcade and downloaded Hello Kitty Island Adventure, which is so cute. I don’t really know Sanrio characters to well, but the trailer looked so adorable. It’s got kinda animal Crossing vibes to it but it’s also it’s own thing. (It has a haunted house!) I’ve got got a house for my character yet but I assume there’ll be one (my character is a lil cat who is now in a spooky witch dress and hat). Another plus point, it doesn’t need a constant net connection like sone games so I can play it even when the net is bitchy

Speaking of games I also finished Ghost Trick (great game, I most post more as part of the round up) and I decided to get the dark pictures anthology from the Xbox sale. My intent is to do one a week (ish) and I started Man Of Medan last night, which, despite some odd camera angles, I seems pretty good so far. I had started it when it was on game pass but I wiped that (I didn’t get far, thinking it was a bug, but it turned out it was because of the controller).

I still need to get back on Zelda though. (And finish the Genshin summer event)

I also had two packages arrive Monday, one was qwertees from the recent sale (two Pokémon and sonic) and the other was two tees from Once Upon A Jester which are so cute! Except one is a crop tee and I didn’t realise. I’ll have to see how it fits and if I’m too self conscious to wear it.

There was also two trailers. One was for Saw which looks great, I’m gonna start a run of the films soon (even though it’s unnecessary cause we know the timeline this time) which I’ve not seen in a long long time. I can’t rp actually remember when I last watched them all. The other one was for the new Loki series and it looks… I dunno but it feels kinda eh? I’m just not excited for it. I dunno if it’s because I’m less fussed on the mcu, that I still haven’t finished so many of the shows (loki and wandavision are the only ones I’ve fully seen) or something else.

I’m sure I had something else to ramble about but it’s gone. Instead I leave with a meme I got tagged in on tumblr.

I keep forgetting there's another Saw movie coming. At this point, I might avoid any info about it and go in blind. That's always a fun gamble!

Yeah! It was meant to come out around Halloween but they moved it up because of five nights at Freddie’s. It’s so weird there’s gonna be a new Saw though, I hope it’ll be good! I try and go in blind for horror films (not that I see many in cinemas) so he’s hoping it’ll be good!
