shadowhive: (The Child Soup)

Last night I did watch some of the Who ray special features. There was a making of the special edition but it didn’t really shed light on exactly why day of the daleks got so much attention. It felt like it was a pet project of the guy that was making special features for the game and it seems even he was surprised he got some of what he did.

There was also a nice convention thing with the Brigadier and Yates too. I hope to finish the last few special features tonight after the qsmp stream though we’ll see.

My mind went a bit all over the place last night, so I didn’t sleep until quite late. Oop

Today I went to pick up mums dress thing and I also got a cheap Star Wars book (cause creatures) and some Lego in the sale, which included the Easter bunny set (and one I was gonna get mum for her birthday). There was also the new Lego Minecraft magazine and yay for next time having an axolotl.

I got tired on the way back so I am a bit worn out,

However I watched the mandalorian while having noms and ahh!

Like last week this one has two stories, although this time the second is a flashback.

In the present a Mandalorian you going is taken by a flying creature and it’s implied this is not the first time this has happened. Again it makes you question why these Mandalorians are there. Like you have made your new home on a beach where there is a giant creature and you have flying things taking your children. And despite knowing about these things you both stay there and don’t have defences against them.

It just comes across as rather dumb.

A rescue party ensues, led by Bo and it succeeds, though it also ends with them bringing back baby flying things which… seems like a mistake? Of it could be cool, I guess we’ll see.

The other side was with Grogu, left behind and with the armorer something in the triggers said flashback, back to Coruscant and the night of order 66. We see a lot of things in this which made me squee internally, but it also shows how reckless the clones are shooting off their blasters in a population center where civilians are everywhere.

But we saw how Grogu escaped the purge, because a Jedi protected him and go him off world. This was suspected of course but that’s two things that made me squee. First said jedi was played by Ahmed Beat, aka Jar Jar and he was such a badass, second the ship that got him off world was a Naboo ship! It’s almost certainly Padme’s Nubian yacht, the same type as the one used in Episode II (likely not the same one though, as one of them did get destroyed during the clone wars). I love that so much though cause I’ve always loved Naboo ships and it provides a nice link with the Mandaloriaan’s new ship. The whole thing left me wanting to know what happened next and I hope we see it.

It also made me wonder, since a Naboo ship got a Jedi off world was Padme aware? Did she authorise it or was this something the Naboo security guys there did on their own? And because of that how was her other ship allowed off world in Ep III. So many questions but it was so cool to see.

Now I’m gonna rest with Midna, I might build up the Lego bunnies if I don’t get tired and then tonight there’s the qsmp.
