Friday we went down to sainsburys to pick mums clothing order up (and take what she got on Christmas Eve back). In that respect it went well and the stuff fits her which is good. And I got a few food things to try. (Though why does all the tasty party food vanish after new year?) But ugh there was no new Lego (even in the Argos bit) and it ended up tiring to walk back because she decided we needed potatoes and other heavy things. Pets at home had some cute lil Guinea pigs which was nice and the treats for Midna though.
I’d saved wearing the new Tommy hoodie until we went there and I’m in two minds on it. On the one hand the bright colours are nice and it looks good. But on the other? I dunno for some reason it doesn’t feel that comfy? Like compared to the Foolish one I was wearing before it it’s just not as soft and cozy.
When we got back we watched Father Brown which was nice, especially cause Lady Felicia was back. I wonder if she’s in it for more than just the one ep, I hope so.
Friday night I ended up watching a few things, including watching Friday 13th on Netflix (cause it was Friday 13th). It was the 2009 which is one of the only Jason films I’d seen before, but I thought it was pretty good. Though I’ll admit I was distracted cause fic brain decided to activate. It finished just in time for Friday 13th lobby Karl set up. I watched Sapnap’s stream and it was pretty fun, with lots of screaming and chaos (it was ironic Foolish, Corpse and Sykkuno were all in it cause I finished the fic with them during it)
Saturday mail came in the form of Lego parts. I’d finally given up hope missing the Lego parts from the starfighter so I just ordered them. I built it up and attached it so now it’s done (though one of the figures has gone awol and I need to find her). Skip forward 24 hours though and what do I find? The missing part, which had ended up by the Minecraft Lego. (And I have to look around to sort that cause the ruined portal is missing pieces)
Sigh.
I did some Dreamlight Valley some more, which I’ve been doing a bit these past days for two reasons. One I want to speed run the Christmas Star path (at least I got the festive Merlin outfit which is nice) and two because Midna was on me so I couldn’t disc switch to sonic/the quarry even if I wanted to. I did achieve some other things though, getting level 10 with Moana unlocked a nice outfit and Stitch is in town (he’s so cute when he plays music!)
I finally started Elden Ring too which looks pretty. I’ve not had much trouble with it (though it’s baffling you can’t swim and there’s one thing in a cellar that’s annoying) but then again I didn’t do too much on it. My fave thing? A tortoise on a beach with messages around it saying it was a nice dog.
In the night I watched some of the Who ray special features for Dalek invasion of earth. The making of was a bit strange because it was 45 minutes long but had none of the main actors, instead just having people from the ep. It was also strange when I noticed at the end it was made in 2003… two years before new Who. The behind the sofa was fun, though it’s still odd it’s not on every ep like usual.
Sunday was a bit eh cause of my mindset. I had thought about watching something, maybe watching Glass Onion or something but instead I checked the tv guide and spotted Appointment With Death so ended up watching that. It was enjoyable enough, even though the victim was such an ass. And it was nice seeing Carrie Fisher in something else.
Main good thing yesterday ended up being the Quackity and Badboyhalo meet up which featured pics and two streams and fuck, the vibes. I swear you put Quackity in a room with another man and he becomes a total hoe. Between the role play, constantly saying they’d been in bed together, the mock spanking at the end and… fuck I know I’m missing something. But damn it was nice to laugh and I just know I’ll fic something with them. (And despite the craziness and the hotness there was actually a moment on Bad’s that hit right in the feels)
Alas I couldn’t seem to settle last night which was annoying.
Today I woke and wasn’t in the mindset to uni read right away so I ended up watching the Eboys bake off, which was the first of their vids I’ve seen (and I wanted to see even more after watching James judge the baking in Jago’s vid on Friday) and it was so fun. The others are so cute and poor Alex getting cheated by James. And then at the end they were all stood together and… James why are you so much bigger than them? Seriously he’s a head taller and for why?
A package came today and it turned out to be something a friend sent, which was a cute lil build a droid bb-8 (with two attachments!) and some sweets. Yay!
Things this week:
*Winterwatch is back and starting from Tuesday, I’d not seen ads or anything so only caught it causa looking through the tv listings
*James’ tour announcement is this week so I’m wondering if the tickets go on sale this week too. I’m hoping for a Birmingham date
*Starting uni assessment tomorrow, hope my mindset is in it
*Continue Who run with The Rescue
*Mum’s friend is coming Saturday, I hope that doesn’t mean I have to go to town to take money in
*Tubbo’s doing a charity thing with his merch on Saturday so I’m hoping something nice and in my size will be there

I don't know if you've ever watched kids be set loose in Legos and given a Challenge, but it's really something. They made some AMAZING builds and we got to give out prizes. It was great!
