shadowhiveWell today has been a complete and total burst.
I was meant to be going to the Nintendo Mario Kart event today, so I charged everything up (including, importantly, my social battery) and was all set to go. I got up and left this morning, aiming for the 9:05am train.
I got there and it was cancelled.
So I waited for the the next one, but that was cancelled too. (And a lady came who had been for the 8:05 one but had it cancelled too.) Then the sign said the next 3 were too (10:05, 10:35, 11:05), so I decided to use the information point which I’d not used before the lady was nice, but there were no trains till 12 at least. A bus replacement service was starting further down the line at 9:44 so I decided to wait to see if it would come. After 45 minutes of waiting I gave up and headed home.
It sucks cause I’m was looking forward to it (I mean free food and some free stuff if nothing else). I’m just glad I hadn’t paid for it (and am not going to the gig that would’ve been tonight seems I had a lucky escape there). I’d hope to finally see the museum cinema exhibit though so I might still have to go before it ends at the end of the month, so we’ll see (it’ll either be on my birthday or I try for the Halloween comics the in two weeks).
But ugh, im so disappointed and drained and ugh.
Edit: apparently the issue has been sorted so I’m gonna see if it has, I’m pissed I’ve lost so much of the day and might come back anyway
