The heat these past few days has been so overwhelming and draining, which has been so annoying. Thankfully it’s turned cooler today and there might be a storm (i really hope there is). That should mean I can get some things done that I wanna do (mainly reading) but… we’ll see.

One of the main things I wanna get sorted is uni. I heard back a bit ago and the annoying thing is the ones I’d wanted to do are 60 credits… but I only need 30. Which is… annoying, as most of the 30 credit ones don’t sound 8nreresting or sound like I’d be overwhelmed. I’ve sent a reply asking for advice, so… fingers crossed.

After everyone playing it (at least 4 streamers I watch have played it, as well as Xbox uk) I ended up getting Cult Of The Lamb. I wish I’d got the preorder with the Cthulhu skin, but I was waiting on giveaways. Ah well. It’s hard to describe exactly what it is, but is enthralling. The one half of the game, crusades, is kinda like Hades, with a Slay the spire style navigation system between levels. Crusades is the combat side of the game, where you go through nodes to get to the mini boss/boss at the end. Said bosses are hard. I could beat the first few but still died and I’m dying a lot more now. Oop. But the combat side is only one side of the game.

The other side is managing your cult, which is kinda like Animal Crossing, kinda city management? It’s hard to describe. There’s also a fishing mini game, which plays like stardew’s fishing (though the fish don’t seem to get away) and I just know there’s gonna be more to it. I’ve lost two of the followers (who quite the cult) which was sad. But other than that, and one lumberyard not working for some reason) it’s pretty good so far. It’s one of those games it’s easy to lose hours in. (Although lumber does seem hard to come by)

I did end up watching Fellowship Of The Ring on Saturday and we ended up watching the extended version in one go, which I’d worried about. I’d forgotten how good it was, though it had made me wish I’d started the run with the hobbit films instead. Ah well I can watch them later, one I have the extended five armies.

The annoying thing! I planned to do the films every Saturday, but mums friend is coming next Saturday so I’ll have to switch the day. (Though ugh that mean’s I’ll be heading to town which is so annoying.)

i did get a ticket to Insomnia on Saturday too. Mum found on wowcher a discounted one (over £10 off) so I ended up getting a ticket for Friday. I had been hoping more creators I knew got announced, but alas, no. One of the things that did it though was there is someone there: the voice of Zelda from Breath Of The Wild and her meet and greet is Friday. I’m not overly excited about being in a place with a load of people, but I’m hoping since it’s not sold out (and going Friday) that it won’t be too busy. Maybe I’ll get something nice? Who knows.

New night vale was today and it made me sad cause there was originally a Birmingham date on the tour, but when it got rescheduled there wasn’t for some reason. Which is pretty sucky. It made me think about upcoming gigs. I only definitely have Set It Off (which, let’s be honest, may get put back again) but there’s three I’m thinking maybe I should try to go to. There’s Blind Channel next month (downside I’ve not heard them in awhile, but who knows when they’ll tour again), Coheed (which I think is around my birthday?) and Palaye (but Palaye is in Wolverhampton and I honestly have no idea where the venue is). Maybe I’ll try going to one of these. I’ll have to think and look up places.

There’s a possibility me and a friend might do a starter DND thing with someone, but we’ll see. I’m hoping now it’s cooler I can actually think on character creation.

Yesterday there was the Ghost hunt video with Wilbur and George and damn, it was honestly so creepy. Things happened, Wilbur saw something and the whole place just seemed so creepy. It’s definitely not a place I’d wanna go.

As always, I’m sure I’ve missed something I was gonna say but… we’ll see.

Cult of the Lamb looks so good!

We were just talking about needing to do a LotR rewatch soon. We're waiting until it gets a bit cooler, though.

I hope you have fun with D&D!

Honestly I'd be pretty optimistic about Set It Off going ahead! Barely anything is getting cancelled now :)

When's it your birthday again? It's sometime in October right? Honestly my writing is so slow that if you give me birthday fic requests then maybe I'll have something done for you by the time it actually is your birthday ;D

I think I've got a few things coming up. A couple of things I've had to pass on due to them being close to other gigs and stuff, but I've got some pretty cool things on the horizon :) I've got tickets for Electric Callboy, Septicflesh, Nachtblut (in Germany), The Rasmus and of course Kätilöt this year...really excited for all of them tbf.

Btw on the subject of Wolverhampton have you ever been to KK's Steel Mill? It's a fucking well good venue, saw Paradise Lost there this year and it was a nice big open space, with great sound :o

It's gonna happen, have faith!!!!

October 20 is the date of the first Nachtblut gig actually so I'll remember that :o

Hmm, well it was really easy to get to in my car! I'm pretty sure it's easy on foot too, because when I got there I wandered into town to get some food, and I'm pretty sure it was a straight direct line I walked in from the town centre, and it didn't take long. It's round the corner of a massive sex shop called Sexy Superstore lmfao, I actually had to put that into my sat nav to get there, as the car park opposite that I wanted to park at didn't appear on google maps 😂

Did you ever get a storm? They were forecast here but nothing. At least the heat has broken, that was hard to deal with.

I hope you got that storm and that the heat hasn't returned!

That sounds so frustrating about the uni courses. Good luck finding something that will interest you!
