Song Saturday - As It Is, CG5

shadowhiveNow usually when I post multiple artists on song Saturday there’s some kinda link or connection between them. Well this link is…. These songs were both posted this week. Which is extremely tenuous but whatever. Also both of these are, like Kill The Lights the other week, just song videos not music ones.
First is CG5 with Sparkly Abs. I didn’t know who he was before the minecraft talent show a few days ago, but I had heard his stuff before: he worked with Badboyhalo on Muffin. What’s impressive about this song is that it was made during the talent show itself (however long it was, the uploaded one is about half an hour but I’m sure the actual thing was longer). He asked the judges for topics for a song and what was suggested was Captain Sparklez abs (one of the contestants, which actually are quite impressive), Schlatts facial hair (one of the judges) and…. Anxiety. That he managed to come up with a song from those and came up with lyrics and music in however long that talent show was is pretty impressive (hee got about half of the full song to play at the end).
I mean it is silly and funny cause of the topics chosen, but it’s actually so good and I do love it. (And I’ve listened to it so much since it’s been on Spotify.) plus it’s led to me listening to some of his other stuff too and I love I See A Dreamer.
The second one is As It Is, with Set It Off and JordyPurp with In Threes. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I heard that As It Is had done a song with Cody with Set It Off, but I was curious so as soon as I saw it up I had to give it a listen. The recent As It Is songs I’ve heard have been kinda upbeat sounding (and all starting with an I which this song continues) so I didn’t expect it to be as dark as it actually is, and I love that so much.
There’s also something about the sound of them blowing out during it which is just…

Thursday night I didn’t end up watching the Game Awards as I expected because as soon as it started… the net fucked up. It was so annoying but I was tired anyway so went to bed. I didn’t end up waking a few hours later and the ent was back, and the awards were still going on, so I caught the last half hourish of it. And then. i caught up on some of the reveals and such during it.
*Dream won creator of the year, yay!
*Tunic has a release date in March which ahh! It looks so cute!
*The new Sonic game looks awesome, as does the new Sonic film (and Idris said Knuckles wouldn’t be hot, pfft)
*Alan Wake is getting a sequel at last!
*there’s a new Star Wars game called Star Wars Eclipse and the trailer looks so awesome! It’s set during the high republic and has lucrehulks! (Trade federation battleships)
I need to get back on reading properly, which I might do once Christmas is over if not before. And with Maxx not being online I should, hopefully, get games done after fringe nightly. Hopefully. We’ll see.
I’m not sure if my Dream hoodie has gone through because I’ve not had a notification and it’s not showing up in Amazon pay so I’ve sent a message to find out. Hopefully it’s just causa the volume of orders, but we’ll see.
I’m glad I didn’t have uni stuff to do yesterday cause there was more banging outside as the neighbour got someone to mess with the hedge and it was just… ugh.
I did get a card and present yesterday fromturlough Which is so sweet! I’ve not opened it but I love the stamps.
But yeah yesterday was a lazy day avoiding sounds but I did do some icons and got them uploaded. I did end up having an earlier sleep which was annoying cause Sapnap did the irl streams he was gonna do and ahhh from the short videos I’ve seen it was so….
Today is mostly going to town which’ll be the last time going but will be so tiring. (And ugh opening the door to mums friend there was a card about a missed package which must’ve come yesterday and is likely an advent calendar so I’ve gotta sort a redelivery once this is done.

Date: 2021-12-12 10:27 pm (UTC)The second one weirdly sounds like both 2005 and 2020, like the vibes from two Emo Eras fused somehow. It's pretty sweet! I think the voice I'm hearing the most is Set It Off? He sounds familiar.
Oh, and thanks for reminding me I need to send cards! Got the last of my shopping done this weekend, but I need to start mailing things out now, and the windows for that are closing fast!
