Yesterday proved to be a bit annoying, a bit good.

First off I checked my money and realised I’d not been refunded for the stuff I send back from the shop (mainly cat littler, because the girls don’t like the ones they sent) so I had to try and chase that up. They sorted it fairly quick… but as a voucher instead of a refund which is… it’s annoying because I’d honestly prefer the money right now.

Mums friend called and had no luck finding the advent calendars which… isn’t a surprise but is still annoying. It seems the only place that has them on eBay now which is annoying, so I’m gonna have to try and get them when mums money goes in (she said I could as well as get whatever I wanted with the money I’m owed so… I’m trying to decide but think I know what it’ll be). The eBay ones are over retail which is annoying, but not too much so… we’ll see.

We watched another few Christmas films on 5, which were sweet. I wonder if the first Mrs Miracle film is anywhere cause one of them was the second.

Finding out Quackity wore fishnets and that Sapnap got him a maid dress means I have not known peace. I started a thing based on it, but got distracted so didn’t do too much but I’ll try and work on it more soon.

The guy next door is gonna cut the Christmas tree this weekend so we’ll be having that in today or tomorrow (ugh) which meant I decided to watch Galaxy 4 last night before the Xbox disc slot gets blocked. It was a bit… I dunno. The animation was nice and I loved the chumblies, they’re so cute! And there was a nice message towards not to judge based on appearance. But… eh. I’m glad it was only 4 parts and not dragged out. I’ll try and watch the special features tonight.

This morning mail came, including my first Christmas card from [personal profile] turps which is sweet 🖤 The other thing that came was the Animal Crossing cards my friend form the meets ordered for me and there was Ione! And Flick! Flick was who I wanted most so I’m so happy. There’s some swaps though, so I’m gonna see if there’s any she wants before seeing if I can trade them or anything.

Today there’s no real plans. It depends on if the tree is done today or not. If not, it’ll be a lazy day, watching Brokenwood later (and maybe a film) and hopefully working on fic some more. And maybe Pokemon, because I’ve not done it properly in a few days.

We don't have a Christmas tree, in part because we are grinches and in part because Pinky and the Brain would view it as their own personal challenge to take that son-of-a-bitch down. I did see a thing a few years ago about a tree you could hang from your ceiling in order to protect it from pets, but that just felt a lot like something I would walk into :D

But my former housemate used to have a massive tree, which always blocked access to the the shelves with all the DVDs on them, so I definitely feel your pain!

Our tree is a little tiny baby one. I bought tiny baubles and battery powered lights. It's maybe a foot tall so can go on the windowsill and we don't need to waste money on electric lights, winning ha.

Can you send me your address so I can send you a card?

That's such a shame you couldn't get the advent calendars. Some of them sell out so quickly.

As I said on Insta, I'm glad the card got there so fast. It's lovely to see them start to arrive.
