shadowhiveSo yesterday turned out to be a day and I’ll roughly go over the main things.
The day didn’t start off terribly well. I woke early after having an anxiety dream (which made no sense because it was about being later getting to the NEC…. Where comic con is…. Where I wasn’t going to) and that rattled me a bit. I had pancakes before I went which was nice though.
The trip there was ok. There was only one person at the station and the ticket machine was smashed. I ended up reading the first chapter to the bone gate on the trip, which ended pretty racily which is nice. There wasn’t anyone on the train to get a ticket though, nonproliferation was the fare to pay office open at the station (I waited there almost 15 minutes after someone said it would be open soon, then another person said just to ask someone at the barrier). Naturally that didn’t do good for my anxiety.
I did get, from the station WH Smith’s, one of the Lego magazines I was looking for. It’s a special edition magazine with a poly bag, and the main draw is it has a cute manta ray which I love.
So after finally getting out of the station I went to the Forbidden Planet with the comics. There was a little queue to go in and then you had to go to the upstairs area for the comics. They only lappet you have 3 comics, and it seemed like there were fewer than the listed titles available. All the main ones I wanted from the list were there though… with the addition of the sonic one, so I ended up leaving the life is strange one to get it. (So I left with the Assassins Creed, Sonic and Star Wars ones.) There wasn’t much there though. They were meant to be offers on the graphic novels, but their location, near to the queue up, meant it was hard to have a look through. I just got a nightmare before Christmas card game from there,
Then I made my way to the other Forbidden Planet and I stopped off at Poundland to have a look in. They had blind box Among Us crew mates… though the trays for them were empty which is a shame. (Can anyone keep eyes open?) There was roadworks (or tramworks?) which meant it was a pain getting to the Forbidden Planet. I got the new high republic comic, plus there was a Star Wars book on sale and two graphic novels (Dead Space and Who).
Next I went to B and M, where I got some Mario Lego. They didn’t have the one I hoped for (with piranha plants) but the chain chomp one I got is cute. My card for some reason didn’t work, which made me panic for a bit though I was able to use a cash machine to test it and it was fine the rest of the day so ???
I made my way to the bullring, which was quite busy, plus it was strange seeing the old Debenhams all closed off. It was nice seeing the new lego sets in the lego store, though they didn’t have any of the Halloween owl (and I don’t think they had the bro Thor set either) which was a shame. HMV now do mystery boxes now? Which seems odd. The entertainer has its layout changed so I got puzzled though they have a giant lego tree which is cute. I found some of the starlink things I hoped to find and got a dark Rey funko.
The Disney store was busy so I didn’t have a good look. They didn’t have the galaxy’s edge creatures which is a shame, though they had the long nightmare before Christmas snake. I wasn’t gonna get anything but they had a charm bracelet which I got mum (I can’t seem to find a charm list online, though mums lost one of the ones I got her already) and there was a reuseable bag of the child which I got.
Lastly I got Krispy Kreme and then went to whittard’s to get a mug and some tea. I got sushi from Tesco to nom on the way back (I meant to get something else, but they didn’t seem to have many veggie options and it was busy). A train was there when I got to the station so I got on that and came back on that, though it was raining.
All in all it was an ok day, though full of anxiety especially seeing so many unmasked people around. I got most of what I went for (bar the Halloween owl and nowhere seemed to have the new dnd set boosters) so in that sense it was productive. We’ll be going to the second comic book day in two weeks (unless that gets moved)
The rest of the day was pretty lazy, I snuggled, watched some Egyptian stuff and there was on of the Pirates films. I watched some of Jawn’s stream, though I ended up dozing (though woke to Geoff getting scared which was funny).
Today’s been a pretty lazy day. I had sushi mum made, snuggled and watched Jawn stream some more, and I read the three comic book day comics I got. The rest of the day is gonna be resting, though we’re gonna be watching the olympics concert thing soon

I annoyed myself by remembering yesterday one thing I meant to do, I wanted to look if hmv had the umbrella academy boxset (because season 1 is out now) and see if there’s any special features cause nowhere has them listed
