Well it’s that time of year again, snowflake time! Yay!

Hi! I’m Stuie, I’m 34 and I’m currently a student at the open university (the current course is terrestrial ecosystems). Im from the uk and I’m currently in a poly relationship with my two loves, although they are far away which is annoying.

I’ve got a four pets, a poodle, two cats and a guinea pig, all girls.

I sometimes write, though I haven’t for awhile because my creativity has been a bit bleh. (Partly cause the world being on fire partly cause people being jerks). I’ve got a few WIP which I may get back to soon, most of which are for The Umbrella Academy.

My dreamwidth is mostly about rambles about what I do, though sometimes I post thoughts on things that I watch or game. I also post fic when I do them too.

Main fandoms: The Umbrella Academy, Bandom (despite that fading some), Star Wars, The Legend Of Zelda and Doctor Who.

The past few days have been pretty lazy and uneventful, mostly watching tv and films in the day and then doing Assassins Creed Valhalla at night.

However we have had one important thing happen: snow! It’s the first snow for awhile and as such walking the pup has been a little tricky causa the ice under it. The first day it came was funny though. Leia, the kitty that likes going outside, avoided the snow like it was lava. She meowed so loud as she walked around the untouched bits.

I finally watched Wonder Woman cause it was on tv and... it was ok. I’m not really a D.C. person so wasn’t invested in her, and it gave me view of the first Captain America.

New Year was last night and it was pretty uneventful too. It was like it usually would be with us watching tv, though I did end up putting on Fantasia 2000 on after midnight. It’s not as memorable as the first alas, but the whales flying were cool. My main thing on new year was going on Animal Crossing for the celebrations.

The new Doctor Who is in a few hours, yay! And then the Taskmaster special too.

You missed something out, you have four adorable pets.

I'm looking forward to the Taskmaster special and Doctor Who. It's nice to have something to actually look forward to, I've found very little I've wanted to watch over the festive period.

2020 has been utterly dreadful for creativity, it's been so zapping. I know I've just been 'surviving' and, especially starting with the OU and figuring all that out, I've not had the energy for fun things. It's been poo, basically.

Bugger! I forgot about Doctor Who *facepalm* I'm terrible at remembering to watch stuff live, I'll have to catch up on iplayer tomorrow.

I hear you on struggling with creativity this year. I couldn't get anything written until I did NaNoWriMo again, and that helped unblock me some.

Question: What do people mean when they say "Bandom" as a collective like that? I've seen that a few times on the Snowflake Challenge and I feel like it must mean something different than just, these are the bands that I'm into.

I WANT SNOW. I WANT SNOW HERE SO BAD. One day, maybe in February or March. That's when we tend to get it around here.

I’ve never done NaNo, I admire anyone that manages it but my brain just can’t focus on one thing that long. I’m hoping to get back to writing sometime soon but we’ll see

Well to me it means Fall Out Boy, MCR and Panic! Though for some it expands to include other associated bands.

Aww I hope you get some! This is our first proper snowfall in awhile

I haven't done it in a while, but somehow it wasn't as daunting as I expected. Having a set word count each day helped me keep going. I do sometimes burn out, but it does help.

I agree that Fantasia 2000 isn't as memorable, and somehow it doesn't feel like a work of art the way the first Fantasia was. But I enjoy it overall, and the flamingo segment is probably my favorite.

I definitely feel you wrt 2020 being lacking in creativity.

Our cat loves to go outside and he is not pleased that it's been too cold or snowy for him to do so most days. It's hilarious to watch him walk, shaking off his paws as he goes because he does not like that they got wet. *g*

You have snow?! I'm so envious!! Leia's reaction to the snow reminds me of Lancecat. If he absolutely had to cross a patch of snow he would take enoooormous steps in an attempt to avoid touching it and it looked hilarious.
