Sep. 13th, 2020 01:36 pmThe past few days have been an improvement on the rest of the week, in large part due to hearing from my loves Friday and one of them having good news.🖤
Wednesday night after the librarians I watched this thing with someone looking for a beastie in the swamps (some kind of wolf an thing) and it just felt he was such an idiot. At one point he was out in the swamp (near a native burial ground no less!) and said he was ‘uneasy’. No shit, the shot before he said that shown he was surrounded by gators.
Thursday was ok. Magnum PI was entertaining, plus Magnum was bound and shirtless again. I got lost again on Spiritfarer too which is just... such a good game. I think it might be my indie game of the year. It’s just such a special game. I meant to go on sims 4 though, but didn’t because I felt too tired to do so. I’m hoping to get on it soon. (I also ended up walking to the lil Tesco to get Doritos)
Friday was a good day and I ended up watching dark Phoenix because I’d spotted it on Disney+. I’d not seen ore and had heard bad things but you know what? I liked it and it was better than I expected it to be. Though I wish Quicksilver had been in it more instead of being out of it for most of it. It’s a shame it’s the last one because I’d have liked to see more, but... alas. (I kinda liked that x-men and the mcu were separate things. I dunno how they’re gonna introduce mutants to the mcu but I worry it’d be too busy. And there’d be the sense too of ‘well why are they just showing up now in universe)
Yesterday there was a delivery with the a Rock Sounds I ordered (and damn, Maxx from a Set ain’t a Off is just so pretty) and Fury From The Deep, the latest Who animation from the second Doctor and one I’ve heard goood things about. Mum ordered something click and collect which was ready at TK on Friday. I’d hoped to wait until my meds were ready to make only one trip but no, she was worried about the restrictions coming in. So we went down there for Naryu’s walk. I got a few Star Wars things (a destiny starter set and folder) but still, I wish We’d waited.
On the way listened to Set It Off and a fic Idea started to form, so once I was home I started writing it. It’s a Maxx/Gerard and I’m not sure if it’ll go anywhere but I’ve done five paragraphs so...
After a doze I watched Brokenwood, then Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries which I didn’t know was back on the drama channel, which was fun. Then there was Kingsman the golden circle which I’d not seen before. It was pretty good, though a lil sad in places too. And I dunno how Poppy expected her plan to work. Of course the president would let millions die. Which led to the most unrealistic thing of the whole thing: a president being impeached for that.
I started Fury after doing daily things on eso, but because of the time I was just too tired to watch the whole thing so just watched the first two eps. I’ll watch the rest tonight and then the special features tomorrow.
Now I’m gonna have noms and snuggle.
