Please attend carefully

So after Sunday’s nonsense yesterday was a bit better. I got my amazon order of Cal and the Star Wars book sorted (I dunno why they insisted on it though, it’s not been sent). I watched the video for uni in the morning and then the afternoon I just played Steamworld Dig 2 on the Xbox and dozed. I meant to read some of my book but I failed.

It’s felt like I’ve needed to decompress a lot lately. I take my glasses off, curl up and pull my blankie up over my head. Sometimes it leads to napping, other times I just lay there. It happens randomly, sometimes when I’m overwhelmed other times when I’m just tired. I know it’s probably a depression thing but it was annoying when it happened last night as I was trying to write. (Or when I was hoping to read.)

I did get the new Yooka-Laylee game yesterday, using some of the Xbox rewards points I had to get a fiver off. I got the preorder stuff cause of it and I’m hoping to start it later.

Last night, after the usual tv, I watched the last episode of Doctor a Who season 18, Logopolis. (I didn’t watch any of the special features as I got too tired, so I’m gonna watch some tonight. I know there’s some long ones.)

The episode’s a four parter and has a lot going on. It’s Tegan’s introduction, Nyssa returns and it’s the first episode of the new Master. Tegan’s introduction is a little odd, her involvement is a complete accident and she spends most of it lost in the Tardis until she gets back to the console room to Adric and the Doctor’s surprise. She does establish her character pretty well though. Nyssa returning also only happens at the end of a part (probably because she was a late inclusion) but her appearance adds weight to it due to her feelings towards the master. As for the master himself, this is one of the few episodes where he manages to cause destruction... although it’s completely by accident. (It’s noted that this episode, as a result, has the largest death toll of the whole series and all be accident...)

The episode also explains how the Tardis ended up in e-space at the start of the trilogy, which is a nice link, though it’s a shame Romana’s room got jettisoned. I dunno though, it’s not the best episode, but it’s not the worst either.

So that’s another full season watched. As I mentioned I’ll watch the special features on the disc, then the other disc (which includes K-9 and company) before starting the next season which is 23. I’ll be watching the new extended cuts on the discs, even though it’ll be awkward (seriously did they have to have them on separate discs?)

Now I’m gonna wait for the shopping and go onto the next kinktober fic

A pox on bags

So a few weeks ago I had to juggle money because of that damn bag. I sent emails to pay pal and heard nothing back from them. As such I was gonna get it steadily paid off.

So yesterday I made the food shop, getting it to come today between 3-4. But at 5:30 nothing had come so I tried to find out why. Turns out the payment hadn’t through (despite them sending an email saying it was coming) and when I checked my online banking it was because of paypal taking the full money out (all of it, even though I’d made a small payment the other day).

I tried to contact PayPal, but the chat seemed to go round in circles. They didn’t seem to get what I was trying to say. So I called up the bank.

That went smoother, despite the automated irritation. Once I got through to a person they were able to sort it out quickly. The payment is cancelled and the money should be back in my account this time tomorrow. (Once it is, I can make a shop.)

It does mean that we’ll be short on stuff but eh... we should manage. Still, it’s the fucking nightmare that keeps on giving.
