Dreaming...

So Dreamboy just posted a mini thing. It’s six minutes long and it starts with an announcement of the next episode (next Tuesday) and then they played a compilation of stuff people sent in. (I missed the call but I’d never sent my voice in anyways so...) They’d asked for people to give their dreams for 2019. Some are random (including one hoping the old gods will rise and destroy the world) but most are pretty deep, including self acceptance and coming up out.

So I figure I may as well do a post of dreams for 2019.

I dream...

That I will somehow finish this uni course, despite this project of doom.

That I will survive March 2018.

That I will go to more gigs.

That more bands tour.

That my writing spark doesn’t leave me.

That we find out what happened with Jay.

That I find the courage to ask Mathew out.

That no one else abandons me.

That I manage to complete games.

That I watch more stuff.

That the Umbrella Academy series sparks a fandom (and gets more seasons confirmed)

That I don’t manage to screw things up

That the local cinema does a midnight showing of Episode IX.

That Disney XD gets it’s shit together and puts Resistance on.

That I can love myself better, or even like myself.

That Adam Lambert does a solo tour.

That I read more books (and graphic novels).

That 2019 ends up being better than 2018.

...and yeah maybe if old gods could rise that might be pretty cool, just not destroy everything ok?

Winds shaping things

I ended up getting really tired last night and dozed off shortly after the post last night.

Today I woke feeling better, which is good. It still took me awhile to get focussed on uni stuff, but I did two sections. One was about glaciers and glacier landforms. The other was about aeolian processes (lands shaped by the wind, mainly deserts). To my surprise the last part of that included a section on Star Wars! It was using the set used for Mos Espa as a reference point as dunes are encroaching on it. I was amazed it was still there after this long (as far as I could tell it still is).

I meant to put this in the last post but no_tags is starting soon. I’ve been told it’s good, so I’m gonna do it. I have prompts in mind already, so I hope there’s something that inspires me.

The snow is still there out in the back garden, but everywhere else it’s starting to melt and turn slushie. Boo. If it’s around tomorrow I might try and get more pics.

I’ve wrote a few more paragraphs to the Ray/tentacles fic. It has two distinct sections now and might have a third (which I’m debating back and forth on). We’ll see what I settle on.

I’ve posted a few recent fics on ao3 now with my last one posted yesterday. When I got my kudos email from ao3 it already had so many, which is... I dunno. I’m kinda annoyed by it, because it just shows that a lot of mcr reads only seem to care about Frerard (and, again they prefer kudos to comments which is kinda annoying).

Ah well.

I might be co writing a fic with someone, but we’ll see how it goes.

I’m gonna go on Battlefront tonight since it’s been updated with Dooku, hopefully I’ll get to try him. I might do some other gaming too but I dunno yet. I checked how long I’ve spent on ESO the other night and it’s 578 hours... over 24 days. Fuck.

There’s gonna be a new The Umbrella Academy trailer tomorrow, yay! Hopefully there’ll be something I can use for an icon from it.

I found out Remington from Palaye has dislocated his knee (probably from climbing around like a monkey) so I hope that means he’ll still do the gig next week. I guess we’ll see.
