Sweet rain!

Last night I watched the Who special features and then I went really tired. I really wish I was able to get back to gaming and watching more stuff. Hopefully tonight.

I did, however, start my fandom for oz fic. It’s only a few paragraphs but... it’s something. We’ll see how it goes.

It’s raining today, hurrah! I hope it rains heavier because we need it. It’s meant it’s nice and cool now which is good. I also had a delivery this morning of some of the qwertees I got from the sale and I ordered the Pokemon season pass. There was a new trailer yesterday but it didn’t give too much info. But there’s a Galarian Slowbro!

Who is the first character that you fell in love with?

I’m sure there’s someone earlier than this from when I was really small. But I’m gonna say Jesse and James from Pokemon. I love them so much, they’re so funny and so useless (yet always come up with weird new contraptions). And I love their outfits and disguises. James always looks so good in dresses and skirts (I think he was one of my earliest guy crushes too when I was starting to figure myself out).

I should really watch more Pokemon.

It was good to get some rain last night. But, ours is gone now and it's sunny again. Which is excellent weather for the garden but very humid.

Congrats on starting your fandom for oz fic. I don't sign up for auctions anymore because I can't write to deadlines, says the girl that signed up for BTB but that's the end of the year so I can deal with that.

Awww thanks. It was my first time doing one and I don’t think I’d do it again. With the lockdown and bitchiness and everything my creativity really slumped so it’s took ages to get into it

Creativity is a very fickle muse. She comes and goes and anything upsetting can stop it. But at least your creativity is back which is the main thing. Just take it slowly and maybe try and write a certain amount of words each week/day, even if it's just 100 words it's words.

That’s true. I know the last time things majorly fucked up (two years ago) I lost all creativity for about 6 months or more.

It's a real pain when RL things like work and uni get in the way of writing.

Mind you I was out of work for a couple of months and couldn't write anything other than my Sunday drabble, which is me forcing myself to write.

I have a sneaking feeling that the first character I fell in love with might have been Samwise Gamgee (I do not know how many times I read LotR as a kid. Like, back to back - I would finish the third book and start again from the beginning)

Eh, the important thing is words (although the more important thing is that you have fun writing it, so take as long as you need)

I love the books, and therefore have a complicated relationship with the films. Because they are almost right, and there's a lot I like about them, but they are also... not, and some of the changes are deeply frustrating from a world continuity perspective.

(I did just refuse to watch the Hobbit films outright. Because, no. There is no-one in existence who can make the Hobbit into a film which would meet the standards I demand of it :D)
