Second, and last post today.

Yesterday was a fairly standard Sunday, I snuggled and then watched the usual Sunday stuff which is Who, the Midwives and, now Vera. I’m gonna do a ramble about Who later in this post.

I managed to finish fic too, which I’m quite pleased with so I’m gonna take a break from ficcing today and maybe tomorrow too. (I wanna finish my secret Santa xmas prompt fic since it’s partway done).

I did some gaming, which was mostly me screaming, again, at Skull cavern. I just want a damn Dino egg is that so hard? Another annoyance was on Wandersong. It would be cute if the singing would work like it’s supposed to with the left stick instead of needing to use the d pad.

I was gonna watch the rest of Nightmare Cinema but didn’t feel like it so I continued Bob’s Burgers instead.

I also did some rping which is ngh. So awesome and hot, I’ve missed it so.

Today I did some uni, the snowflake challenge and went up the road to put money on the gas card only to find out I couldn’t. The next nearest place is now half an hour walk away, which is fucking annoying. I’ve complained about it on twitter but it honestly makes no sense. What the hell? I’m gonna head there after this post and hope the storm doesn’t come.

I’m also annoyed cause I was gonna get something off The Works but of course it’s not on the site now despite being there yesterday. (It was a power of the moon box set if anyone has one near to check).

My necklace has also come undone which is annoying.

Bah.

Anyway Who thoughts. Spoilers ahoy.

So, Orphan 55. From the little trailer thing, I thought it looked like it’d be interesting. A spa with a mystery? It sounded promising.

To start with it seemed pretty good. The dregs were immediately reminiscent of the Xenomorphs from alien, especially since they teared through virtually the entire spa in a matter of minutes. The idea of orphan planets also sounded relevant due to our current environmental issues and higher ups not taking responsibility.

However, a few things made it less good than it would otherwise have been. Most notably? The fact that the planet turned out to be earth. That just felt so wrong, especially since so many future Who eps have depicted Earth still existing and intact. The story would have worked much better without that revelation. The same is true of the one spa guest who turned out to be the head person’s daughter. That seemed unnecessary and, up until that point, I thought the saboteur would have been some kind of eco-terrorist looking out for the dregs.

So yeah, it was all a bit heavy handed (and depressing) after the revelation of it being earth.

Hopefully the coming eps are better. The Judoon one is in two weeks and I love them so much.

Have you got caught up in the British Gas payment problem? I was reading how a load of people couldn't top up easily now.

I always think I should watch Vera with it taking place locally. Somehow though, it just never stuck.

The gas payment thing is such a complete fuck up. I know some people who work in their tech and it was apparently a disaster waiting to happen.

Quick q, I see you've mentioned something that's coming up in a couple of weeks in Who - I take it that's the sort of thing you're liable the post again? (I count it as a wee spoiler, so it just means I know that your cut is there so I can avoid it ❤️)
