A shortish post, cause I’ve not done anything exciting this weekend.

I’ve started my Star Wars run this weekend, watching Episodes I and II. Hopefully next weekend I can watch III and Solo and then figure out how to fit in the rest. I might do some in the week if there’s nothing on tv.

I also watched War Of The Worlds yesterday, which is pretty good so far. The last part is next week though I can see it being left open for a sequel series.

Two things have gone awol which is annoying. When I came back I bought some biscuits with me, a two pack. I ate one, but the other has gone missing and mum clearly has no idea where it is either. The other thing is my necklace. It was with me when I went away but it’s gone now. It was around my neck on a cord so I’m worried it went missing before I came back so could be anywhere. Ugh. I know I can get a new one, but it’s still annoying.

Today I did some reading. While I didn’t read Black Spire (I got too cozy, it was a cold grey day so I just wanted to snuggle) but I did read Collapser part 4 and 5. I must say part 4 has something that’s very kinky and you can tell I’m gonna do something with Mikey with it.

I also got my results from my first uni assessment and I got 80%! I thought I’d done ok but I didn’t think I’d done that well so yay.

Now I’m gonna cuddle and watch stuff. I might game later though since there’s updates for Fallen Order and Stardew on the way I might just do some stuff for the game pass quests. I’ve not been on Pokemon today or yesterday either. I’m at the last city for the Pokemon league and I’ve not attempted it yet so...

I hope the local cinema gets Knives Out, I might see it next week if it does.

I watched the first War of the Worlds and that was enough. If they wanted to create a Strong Female addition I'd rather her been Ogilvy's actual assistant because I couldn't care about the adulterous journalist (what did either woman see in him was my second thought) or his pregnant mistress and the long boring focus on their lives. The show really really wanted me to love them and hate the military as shown via Rupert Graves but I really didn't. The flashforward took any tension out of it for me, it'll be years of the war and Amy and her offspring survive.
I have a few memories of the film version (1953? Not the more recent one) and I'd take a USA setting over this UK setting with the focus on how "modern" it is with the Amy storyline. What's wrong with following the book more faithfully? The ABC Murders miniseries from the BBC felt the same, unnecessarily grimdark with a focus on sex and kinks, quite unlike the more faithful David Suchet adaptation.

Knives Out looks like a fun movie paying homage to and poking gentle fun at Christie genre :)

That's a great mark. Congratulations!

But that sucks about your necklace.
