Spoopy season

There’s still no sign of the leads I sent for, though the tracking has been updated at least. I got frustrated though and, when we walked Naryu on Saturday, I popped into Home Bargains. I’d not expected them to have leads, they didn’t when I looked before, but they did this time, the lead is short which is annoying but the unused extension lead helped. So I’m back on the pad and back on my nonsense.

I had comics come Saturday, which I’ve only read one so far. I have a little pile now that I’m hoping to go through this week (along with reading black Spire).

Sunday I watched Detective Pikachu on blu ray which was nice to see again. I still think thegraohics are incredible and I really hope for more live action Pokémon films.

I’ve not done much else though. I finished fic and ended up going on Forza (which I’m useless at but is still... I dunno, fun?) and watching Nailed It instead of Disenchantment, oops.

Yesterday I did some gaming in the afternoon, Astroneer with saur which was fun, even though I fell down holes in caves and died. Oops. We might do more Thursday along with We Were Here,

I continued my Who rewatch last night too. It was The Keeper Of Traken. I watched it last when I got the new beginnings boxset, which was awhile ago. I only remembered the basics of it going in (that it was set on Traken, that it introduced Nyssa and the reveal).

The Keeper Of Traken is my favourite of season 18 so far. It’s got a good, intriguing story, a great supporting cast and it’s easy to see why Nyssa became a companion. Plus the sets, costumes and props are great too. The Melkur is suitable strange and menacing looking and the eventual reveal of who is behind it (and the very last scene) are great too. Plus Adric gets a bit more to do which is good.

I do wish I had season 19 and I know I’ll want it more after Logopolis. Damnit being crazy prices. I’ll just have to skip forward to season 23 when it comes, which should be soon.

Last night also bought good news from Star Wars. It’s been confirmed that two characters in Star Wars Resistance are a gay couple! Finally we get onscreen representation! Hopefully there’ll be more, including a certain pilot, ex stormtrooper and bumbling ‘spy’. *crosses fingers*

Today is the first of October and I’m gonna try and do kinktober. I’m gonna try and do about 10 of them roughly. I’m gonna start the first one soon. I’m also inspired by teigh_corvus to watch some horror films this month. Again it likely won’t be every day (Monday’s and Fridays are the worst for it) but it’ll give me an excuse to watch some stuff on Shudder and some of the pile of doom. We’ll see how it goes.

I went to the opticians today so I’m gonna have new glasses new week. My eyes have got a little weaker so it should help. They also will have stronger frames which should help too.

Now I’m gonna snuggle and write soon.

I love Nailed It. It does my heart good to see those failed bakes. I really like people who can laugh at themselves.

Oh me too, it’s so fun! There’s a few times when I went ‘oh no!’n(like the guy that used salt instead of sugar) but often they do pretty well in the final bakes, some of those are so hard and I’m impressed how well done do

Also I want cake after it

I'm quite fond of The Keeper of Traken. Particularly the decor and costumes because they're just gorgeous! And it has, as you say, both an intriguing story and interesting characters.

Yeah they really are! It shows even more in the documentary how good the sets were. 🖤
