shadowhiveUni asssessment is, mostly, done. I’m gonna check the parts Um unsure of Monday then submit it.
Yesterday Pokemon Let’s go came. I didn’t do it much, since I’m largely a mass of exhaustion lately. It looks so pretty and there are cute features, but the catching Pokémon without battling takes some getting used to. Plus the pokeball controller is... tricky. I kept going the wrong way when I used it plus it’s gard to navigate menus and stuff with it. I got up to Pewter city yesterday and when I finished up on it to day I was outside the underground path.
I also got my code for the comic con tickets next week. It’s a weekend ticket though I won’t be going Sunday (or use the priority access either most likely). My plan is to go to the Star Wars panel, go on the Nintendo demos, watch Splatoon 2 and maybe get an autograph. We’ll see if anything/anyone else gets added this week. I’m considering going as Party Poison, but I dunno.
Today’s been pretty busy.
Firstly, I watched the new Resistance ep and Poe was in it! I got strong Poe/Kaz vibes, at least on Kaz’s part, the gay disaster. (Is there fic of them yet?)
Then it was off to Birmingham. I ended up getting inspired at the station and wrote more mcr hooker fic on the train there. I ended up going with Claudio (because ngh) and he seems to fit nicely. His role is gonna be pretty passive though (which isn’t what I expected my first fic of him to be but ah well). I really need to get an icon of him, and a paid account to actually use one)
Speaking of Coheed one of their songs sounded really pervy so of course I forget the name, ugh.
Anyway, once in Birmingham I went to the one Forbidden Planet but they didn’t have Umbrella Academy. I went to the other one and, thankfully, they had it with the pretty variant cover. I also got a cheap Torchwood graphic novel and some Star Wars cards.
After getting a mouse and drink for next week, I made my way to the meet. It was at a new location this time (new for me anyway) in the lower ground floor of cafe Nero. The meet went pretty well. I meant to trade Pokemon to get oldish but didn’t. I did some more on the game and I won the capture chain challenge so I got some eshop credit, which I’m gonna use towards the Nintendo online service. Yay! I also went on Splatoon and tried mario party, which was pretty fun. And I got a cute pin badge too.
The downside was I cried the winter spiced hot chocolate since I felt like a drink and it was disgusting. Ewww.
There were also cute boys there, which was partly distracting. Especially since one was Mathew, the cutie who is a regular. I thought he’d not be there cause he’s not a Pokemon fan but he was, and my heart skipped when I saw him. We talked a little and he said I should message him so I did once I got home (in a moment of madness). He’s also going to comic con next week. In cosplay. Dressed as Link. I swear I’d die if I saw him like that. (And then someone reminded me of Link’s recent crossdressing and I had thoughts damnit, especially after they linked me to porn damnit!)
I wish I had a functioning gaydar and I wasn’t so useless with people sometimes. Especially so around him. Curse a lack of people skills/anxiety/lack of confidence
After the meet I made my way home going to the station. My ticket wouldn’t work (probably cause it’s a new weird barcode thing instead of a card) but someone let me through anyway. I spent the trip back reading the new Umbrella Academy and eee Seance! And how is he always in... situations. So much of that issue was puzzling though, questions set up to be answered later no doubt.
On the way home I stopped to get cat litter and I ran into the nice post lady. We talked a bit and she offered me a lift home which was nice.
So all in all a good day. It really does feel like things are turning around.
Anyway, I’m gonna go on Guitar Hero now. I still want to get as many of the ghtv achievements before it stupidly shuts down, then I’ll watch a The Good Place some more. I might read or look for more Waycest but we’ll see. I know it’s a long shot but does anyone know what happened to the artist pisstrick? Or the lj writer katiexrawr? I hate that so many people have just deleted or vanished into the ether, causing so much awesome fic/art to be lost.
(And if anyone has fic reds, they’d be appreciated!)
Tomorrow gonna watch the first Fantastic beasts again, since we plan on seeing the new one soon. I may try writing some too. I expect the mcr fic to be done next week. And hey, maybe I’ll post it on ao3! *snorts* yeah right
