Slime story plushies that I ordered during slimes charity stream came fast, I did them after midnight Thursday and they arrived Saturday which was so surprising. They’re so cute and the moss slime is so soft and snuggly.
Speaking of soft and snuggly Midna has continued to be snuggly in the day (and night, she’s currently curled up against my leg) while Leia has been snuggly when I go to bed. Maybe Leia sensed my mindset and decided to be snuggly (Midna’s been consistently snuggly for awhile)
I have been watching and also playing things so under the cut is gonna be my thoughts on a few things. (TUA season 3 ep 1, Primeval, Talk To Me).
The Umbrella Academy season 3 has been on my list for awhile now but I’ve kept putting it off and putting it off. Since there was not much on tv Sunday I decided to finally watch it (over watching a film in case someone streamed, which shoto did) so I watched the first ep of season 3.
After a very breezy recap (and an opening sequence like the very first ep) it went right into where season 2 left off with the umbrella academy now back home, only instead there’s the sparrows there. Of course they do come off as mostly unlikeable from the get go and I think that’s intentional. We’re attached to the umbrella’s and these people are all gonna come off as dickish, but to be fair to them the umbrellas just appeared in there house so of course they’re gonna be defensive. I’m sure the season will get us to know them, maybe even like them, but right now? I don’t care for them (bar Ben, who got to use his tentacles and be shirtless nice). Also I’m curious about Christopher, has he always been a cube or did he become that way later? I hope we find out.
It’s gonna be strange seeing how things play out, because the umbrellas are kinda non people now (having nothing) so I guess their goal is to get the case and try and go… elsewhere? But where cause the timeline is already messed up somehow. And they’ve lost the sparrow that was gonna help (if only to get rid of them) to that weird… thing in the basement. Did Grace know it was there or did she only become obsessed when she saw it? (And what’s with the guy with the tapes? And ughLila) also Klaus looks so good with his hat
I’m curious enough to watch more, though I’m not sure when.

Anyway, onto Primeval now! I watched the whole series on sky mix cause I’d not seen it before and I watched all of it (bar two eps, one when we went to the show and one while I was sick). Overall I thought it was pretty good, although being an itv show (to start with) some seasons did feel a little short, especially to start with (season 1 is only 6 episodes). But overall I loved the concept and most of the characters and the effects mostly have held up.
I do think there were a few issues. The first is about the anomalies themselves, because to start with the show was like ‘these are new things and we have to find out what’s causing them’ before switching it up and being ‘oh these things have been happening for a long time and are natural’. (Saying that I think season 3 was my fav cause of the whole ‘things from anomalies are the source of myths and legends’)
But I think my main issue was with Helen, the antagonist of seasons 1-3 because it felt like her motives kept changing. First she was content to just live in the past. Then she wanted to do research with them (and for some reason had an army of clones from nowhere??). Then she wanted to prevent the bad future. Then she wanted to literally kill all humans.
But like I said I did like it. The last two seasons did feel more cohesive than the first three, and I’m glad it ended without a huge cliffhanger (yeah it had a slight mystery that coulda been a hook for series 6 but…)

Lastly in the watching part is Talk To Me. I was checking the Netflix app for something else and saw it had been added so decided to watch, because I heard people raving about it, so Monday night I decided to watch (it was between that and Late Night With The Devil on shudder).
It was… fine. I thing the problem with watching a thing like this is that cause people rave you expect sone shocking twist or something. And yeah while there were a few things that made me gasp it’s not something and I’m like ‘that’s the best thing I ever saw’ you know?
(And youth the way those teens just treated this supernatural thing as a toy like that)
There is gonna be a sequel AND a prequel so maybe they’ll add context (like what’s the deal with the hand anyway? And is there another?).
I’m sure I had more in depth thoughts for all of these (especially the last two) but it feels they’ve left my head, oop.
As well as watching things I’ve gamed a little. I’ve been on goat sim 3 on game pass, which is so funny and unserious. There’s been some wild stuff so far, like weird invading aliens (or robots), a giant tentacle creature and a quest from a hobbit house (called dilbo’s quest)
I finally went back on Zelda on Sunday too and… I have not continued any of the quests at all. I’ve just been exploring the depths and doing lightroots. I did intend on doing the main questline but I just got distracted by doing that and for what? I did save at lookout landing so next time i go on I will continue the quest… or get distracted again.
Then tonight I started Prince Of Persia The Lost Crown, doing the first level. And damn, why’s Sargon (the player character) hot? And was the prince flirting with him? Im gonna go on it more sometime but I dunno when.
But I’ve also got sidetracked by raid shadow legends cause of Seapeekay doing a sponsorship so I’ve been trying to do the quests for it (at least the ones that are doable for free) and I’m at level 32 after a week. Damnit.
Anyway here ends the post. I might try and fic some more before bed but we’ll see. Then who knows what this week holds? I’ve gotta pick up mums meds but it depends on the weather which I has been pretty dicey. But other than that? I dunno.
