Well if they suffocate people then surely laying eggs in the throat is the next logical conclusion, heh. Or maybe it didn't know what hole to put the eggs in so it put them in both.
Ohhh I like that thought of them bursting out from the inside, I love eggs coming out in a non standard way. It's why I did that in my fic of it happening to the traitor :P
