The past few days have ended up being low energy, because even though my stomach is (mostly) settled it has left me drained and my people battery is severely depleted. As such my energy has been pretty… mid to low.
One good thing about having the laptop open Sunday for Dodongos was that I could look through some of the Who audio folder. I’d got a bunch from various humble bundles but I’ve not really listened to them, hence I’d decided to add Who audios to the monthly round up this year. By going through humble bundle I also found I’d got a third folder of stuff that I’d not got on the laptop so now I have even more to go through oop. (Thankfully it seems none are in the offer from the recent Who magazine, so I’m still pondering on those before month’s end)
While going through them I spotted that one of the things was a UNIT boxset so decided I’d try and listen to it this week. I listened to first story Tuesday and the second one today. They’re each part of an overarching story of the boxset so they’re not standalones in the slightest (the first is mostly set up) but it is pretty good so far. The concept introduced in the first one is an absolute genius idea that I could totally see in an ep of the show (involving Nestenes, autons and 3D printers). I might listen to the next ones in the coming mornings too (id have listened to more Tuesday but of course the laptop decided it needed a system update)
Tuesday afternoon was spent watching Shoto’s stream while building up the dragonite I got from the prime day sale. The dragonite is so adorable and friend shaped, although I think I’ve messed up the mechanism because the wings (which are supposed to flap when you turn a knob) don’t move smoothly.
Also about Pokémon I watched the twitch episode stream only it wasn’t a continuation of the eps from last week. Instead it was a bunch of random episodes loosely connected by the concept of diving. As such they had nothing to do with each other and we’re all over the place (though it amused me that first five, despite all being different regions, all featured Brock). They were still entertaining and most I’d not seen before which was good (and I especially liked seeing mimikyu) but it was still odd. Tonight’s should be continuing from last week which is good.
And again about Pokémon, the Pokémon sleep app is out which I downloaded and used that same night. Cute Pokémon sleeping is always nice! I hope we get Bulbasaur.
I missed out on the final game pass reward on fall guys (the bonus one that needed an absurd amount of levels) but the new one is out now. I had enough show bucks from the last one so it’s essentially free, and I love the capybara outfit you get from unlocking it.
There’s new Lego Star Wars reveals from Comic con (which feels like it’ll be a bit quieter because of the, extremely valid, strikes going on) and the new Ahsoka ones all look cool. I might get the two pack of fighters for Christmas, though it depends what the interiors of the others look like (I suspect the Ahsoka shuttle isn’t gonna have one which is disappointing).
The Doctor Who magazine came yesterday which looks nice because it has David Tennant and Catherine Tate on the front. I’ve not read their interview yet, but I might later. Nor is there a date for the season 20 boxset alas. I did read the anniversary poll results for the tenth and eleventh doctor episodes and some of them are… puzzling. Like, how is Human Nature/Family of Blood at 2nd for 10? And how is Army Of Ghosts/Doomsday not top 10? People are strange
I did end up getting one of those things I had my eye on (I’m still debating on the other) though it’s not coming until late August and needs something else, though i can sort that when it’s here.
The Xbox summer sale started last week but there’s nothing too much (Jedi Survivor is still too much). I might pick up a few of the indie games on my wish list that are down to a couple of quid. Other than that there’s Age Of Empires 2 dlc (though it’s hard to find exact info on which is the best one), Dredge (which looks cool but I want the disc version because it has physical bonus stuff) and the Dark Pictures Anthology (which seems to be a good deal for the set even though I mostly want the last one). There’s usually an article on the sites I go on about which are good deals/games to get but there hasn’t been yet. (Has anyone played/watched the anthology and have thoughts?)
(My indecisiveness lately has been incredibly strong)
I was hoping to go on Ghost Trick some more but I’ve been too tired for much of gaming. I have set up the Switch again so I should be able to get back on Zelda soon though, again, it’s about energy.
Now thought I’m gonna eat and then? Who knows.
