Dec. 31st, 2022 11:04 amA brief overview of the past week before the year ends.
Since Christmas most of what I’ve ended up doing is just being curled up, watching tv (mostly stuff on BBC 1 or 2) so here’s a bunch of things.
*Lego piece is still missing, since it’s big and would’ve been visible if it just fell my guess is it’s flung somewhere
*I watched Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2, I’m now curious about afterlife (and might rewatch the other Ghostbusters soon)
*I watched Frozen, it made me wanna watch 2 since I’ve only seen it once. Also watched Moana
*The Bonte Avond Christmas stream was fun, albeit beset with the usual issues. They did do me a subscriber song since I got gifted one, I’ll have to clip it
*I got batteries so activated Lola, she’s cute
*I started the wooden earth orbit kit but it became clear something was wrong (either a sheet of parts was missing or the instructions were) but they said they’d send a replacement when I got in contact
*I watched the first part of Canterville ghost, it wasn’t as good as I expected alas
*I got Elden Ring, I haven’t played yet
*I’ve played a fair bit of Sonic Frontiers
*Net has still been flicky and got worse at points. At least talk talk acknowledges it and are monitoring it
*I did the main Christmas fic, lost motivation for mini ones
*I listened to theWho audio on bbc sounds, I might listen to more
*I’ve ended up doing a lot on Magic The Gathering Arena
*Some belated cards arrived (about 3 or 4), along with tees from Qwertees (though the random bonus ones are eh) and the Tommy tee
*watched some Agatha Christie films including two with Maggie Smith (playing very different roles, the second with Angela Lansbury who clearly loved it) and two yesterday (including Witness For The Prosecution, what a twist, though the victim having the same name as a friend was jarring)
I’m sure I’ve missed something super obvious but… eh
Todays plan, watch Strange World and random stuff then it’s New Year. Main hope is that good things happen and aren’t immediately followed by something terrible like this past months.

Date: 2023-01-01 05:51 pm (UTC)I'll keep my fingers crossed the missing Lego piece will soon turn up!
My favourite Agatha Christie film is probably still the 1970s Murder on the Orient Express. I also have a soft spot for Death on the Nile, also from the 70s. My favourite Miss Marple is definitely Joan Hickson. She IS Miss Marple in the same way David Suchet IS Poirot :-)

Yeah those are the two versions I saw! I didn’t see many of the Marple stuff, I’ll have to try and watch some at some point
