shadowhiveThere’ll likely be a happier post later/tomorrow, depending on how I end up feeling. (I have an idea for something that should work out because it’ll work better here then on twitter) For now this is an update on the things mentioned in the recent locked posts.
First up Alice’s friend posted an update on the Alice situation the other day. In short, there is no update as no one has found her yet. Is that a good thing? I don’t know. It’s better that she’s not found rather than a body is so there’s still hope, but her friend doesn’t seem to be optimistic. Here’s a link to the police flyer about her. It’s in German alas which I don’t speak but it includes a picture. I know it’s unlikely anyone is in the places she might be (the friend also included possible places she might be or have been here) but I figured I’d share just on the off chance.
I hope so much that she’s had a change of heart and will be found ok and safe but…
I really hate people.
One thing that surprised me though was last week before the craft fair thing me and mum had an argument, mostly because of how listless I’d been and when I mentioned Alice mum said, almost without missing a beat, was to say ‘could you suggest she come here’. And I just thought it was sweet, even though it was utterly unreadable (we’re nowhere near Brighton for one, I didn’t know her anywhere near well enough to even suggest that).

Yesterday ended up being pretty rough, the stress of everything was starting to make me feel sick the night before and that feeling continued into the morning. I spent the first half of the day in bed, just lying down under the covers until I felt settled enough to head down.
Mum said she’d felt sick too so maybe it was something she ate (I’ve not told her about all the issues, wanting to try and get it resolved).
As for a resolution?
Well it’s looking incredibly unlikely. I got a reply back to my email from one of their support teams and it basically amounts to ‘we have the money now, it was took by an automated process, we can’t send it back or do anything’ which sounds like balls to me. I said as much in the reply and told them how terrible a company they are, how bad they are at communication and how fucked it is they did that especially because of everyone having issues at the moment.
I’ve not had a reply back to that one.
Again the whole thing wouldn’t be as much of an issue (oh it would still be an issue, but it wouldn’t be so infuriating and frustrating) if it wasn’t for that damn eBay thing mum had insisted on doing. I should have done it the moment I saw the money was in, but no, I thought the money would be fine (because why would I have expected half the money to vanish?) and mum wanted to contact the seller to make an offer and just… ugh. I hate this whole thing. My only hope is that the bank does something about it (because before I was able to get through to anyone I used the only form to mark the pending thing as fraud) but even that’s a long shot (and even if it works it’ll take a long time).
I just hate this so much, ugh.
