shadowhiveYesterday ended up being a day of two halves. Mum ended up covering someone at the library in the afternoon and, after reading a little of my book, I crashed. I felt drained and bleh, both physically and mentally. Which was just… ugh.
I eventually pulled out of it and gamed a little and I ended up doing a bit of gaming on various things. (These are over the course of the night as well as afternoon)
*I did level on Lego Jurassic World, starting the lost world, which was mostly at Eddie’s workshop
*I did a little on ESO, starting a few quests (and realising, annoyingly, that I missed daily rewards)
*I did a world on Sonic Generations and the first act of the next one
*I did a round on dead by daylight by got killed as the door opened
*I went on Destiny 2 for the first time in ages to start the solstice event, but has to do a level first (and then the servers were overwhelmed
So yeah, much gaming.
My block button on twitter got a workout, because I saw tweets where people were asses. Not to anyone I know but seeing harassment and homophobia and… ugh, it grinds my gears.
I opened the Johnny Silverhand figure I got a few weeks ago then promptly lost two small parts and.. ugh.
Last night I did end up watching the next Doctor Who ep, which was Paradise Towers. In some ways it’s an interesting concept and there’s some interesting world building with the Kangs and their culture. In other ways there’s oddness to it.
The reason for going is for Mel to use the pool and when we eventually get to it it’s not that special looking (and was infamously freezing during filming). Not alone that but Mel still wanting to go into it after all that happened just seems bizarre. For the second ep in a row she spends most of the ep away from the Doctor, so you don’t really get a sense of their relationship either.
And then there’s the cleaner robots. They look more like military robots. I mean why do they drills?
Pex is sweet and an idiot but doesn’t look like he could do some of the things he does (because of casting, he was written to be musclebound). Though the rezzies were kinda creepy (though one was an idiot, standing in front of the garbage disposal after watching her partner get pulled down it).
So yeah it was an ok ep. And I like how everyone pulled together and teamed up at the end.
After watching it and gaming some I was gonna start the run of Resident Evil films since they’re all on Netflix… but the first one, Degeneration, played in Japanese. That’s strange because it listed the English voice cast, but there wasn’t an option for it at all. I got the dvd down this morning but it’s still so strange.
Gonna watch Loki soon I think.
