Challenge #9
In your own space, brag about yourself. Tell us what things you've done that you're proud of; the things that make you the wonderful person you are. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I’m never much good bragging about myself. Ask me to talk about myself and I’m like Tina in Bob’s Burgers ‘Uhhhhhh’. I always dread personal assessment type things when school gave them cause the same thing,
The fic I’m most proud of is still this one from 2019 (An Umbrella Academy au fic inspired by Mamma Mia) but I’m sure I posted that in last years challenge so I guess I should also post something from last year.
Like many people my creativity wasn’t the best last year (for both obvious and personal reasons) so I didn’t end up doing too much. Looking through my recent fic on ao3 a large number just make me sad because they were done for or inspired by people that just aren’t around any more.
Beneath Ray Toro/tentacles
Found Out Gerard Way/Ray Toro
Voices Gerard Way/Mikey Way
The Space Between Us
David Castañeda/Justin H. Min/Robert Sheehan

I did end up watching Wandavision last night, watching both eps together which I think is the best way to watch it. The second one is definitely better than the first and it gives hints that something is wrong with what’s going on. It can be funny, though the laugh track does throw me off so much with it.
In the night I intended to watch a film on shudder but couldn’t find anything (where are all the space based horror films?) and ended up on Netflix instead. There I watched Slender Man, which was apparently leaving today. It was... ok. Honestly before the end I wasn’t paying attention, probably cause the main characters felt annoying. (Not helped by cuts being made to the film which meant people just stopped appearing with no explanation) Slender Man himself was pretty creepy though.
I ended up watching some more Disenchantment after it before going to zzz,
Today has ended up being a very lazy which is good and needed. (Though I have won a game code today, and one yesterday too) we did catch Adam Lambert on Sunday Brinch and mum wants to see the live show he’s doing so, we’ll be seeing that.

Date: 2021-01-17 07:22 pm (UTC)I'm holding out on Wandavision until it's all released. I no longer live in the 1990s and do not approve of this whole once-per-week schtick!

Date: 2021-01-17 09:05 pm (UTC)Aww that’s a good idea! Though I do like watching some things weekly

Date: 2021-01-17 08:00 pm (UTC)I watched the first episode of Wandavision today and sort of loved it for being ridiculous, but it's nice to see that it actually might have a point? ;)

Date: 2021-01-18 03:30 am (UTC)Oooh, I'm intrigued! I'm always interested to see what works people are most proud of, because in my case it's so often not the one that gets the most hits or comments. Will add this to the list!
And don't worry: the creativity will come back. It always does. It's been a hard, hard year.

Date: 2021-01-18 08:13 am (UTC)Hopefully, the creativity will come back for all this year.
I still need to watch Wandavision. Everyone I've seen talk about it seems to have liked it, but not loved it. So I'm interested to see how I feel.

Date: 2021-01-18 01:57 pm (UTC)I really hope so, I’ve only been able to little bits which is annoying.
I think it’s a thing that will get better the more it goes on
