10 little soldiers
Mar. 6th, 2024 11:11 amGeneral post time, I’m gonna make the monthly roundup another time and might make a locked post soon.
The past few days have been so low energy and yet still I feel so drained, which is annoying.
The main thing that’s pulled focus the past few days has been the Tubbathon, which I’m so grateful for the timing of it. I’ve been watching Tubbo’s subathon on and off since it started (bar yesterday) and there’s been some really fun stuff already. I think my fav parts so fav was the dodgeball (with pretty much everyone, and it was nice seeing James there) and Liar Liar, which was funny (and it’s not just my favourite cause Seapeekay was there and he had a lie about a tongue piercing and I’ve been obsessed with it). I’m looking forward to seeing who is on other eps (it’s basically Would I Lie To You but with streamers, though cause it’s Tubbo it was about 5 times as long. I am a bit sad I missed Recipe for Disaster last night so I’ll have to watch the YouTube of it but I’m not sure when.
Since the qsmp is offline for a few days people have been playing other things and it was nice to see Badboyhalo play Hollow Knight and rp as a lil bug rambling about the weird economy of the world.
I have had bursts of inspiration with the prompt I picked up and it’s 90% done I’d say so it might be up today if I’m not too tired, though we’ll see.
Also yay for Mystery Files doing an ep on Champ, I love lake monsters so much.
There has been some annoyances these past days. A brain cell has a tab open with music I really don’t wanna listen to and keeps playing it and making me sad. Dreamwidth is being a pain with comments for some reason (at least it’s not just me) and the old pad is acting up again. I had another stream on it for Marvel Snap drops and the screen just went blank. I thought it was just cause it lost charge but it seems not (I’ve tried restarting it and it does bring up the apple logo so it’s not fully broken) but I dunno. I had hoped to pop in yesterday to see about it but ugh.
Also mum slipped on mud Monday and she’s ok but it made her achy which wasn’t helpful cause of us going out.
Months ago mum saw there was an Agatha Christie play, And Then There Were None, and we thought we got tickets at the time but seemingly didn’t. We got them sorted last month so we went yesterday, but it was a bit awkward timing considering the last few days/weeks. However we went to the showing yesterday.
Beforehand we went around Birmingham, though not to main places cause mum’s leg ached. I got a fairly new Doctor Who book from tk maxx, though alas they didn’t have any of the Red Nose Day stuff which I hoped to get cause it’s Wallace And Gromit themed for some reason. I got some stuff from Forbidden Planet too, two Star Wars Black Series figures that were reduced (including the new Cal! Fuck I need to get back on Jedi Survivor), some Magazine blind bags (I got way too many cause they were heavy but so many were Star Wars ones) and a thing called Jedi Artifacts (which is random but has some nice stuff). I also got a plushie from HMV cause it looks like Midna and I hope to get a pic of them together.
We also stopped in the Lego store and they were out of some of the Animal Crossing sets (the two bigger ones) and when I talked to the guy the polybag were gone so I’m glad I ordered some, which should be here today. I looked at the new Star Wars shops and mum got me one for Easter cause of all the recent stress. It looks pretty cool.
The theatre was nice, it’s very pretty inside and I think I went there before to one of the Night Vale shows (I’m so far behind on that). The seats kinda nice, being at the front of the dress circle though cause we were at the end of one side the angle wasn’t the best. However it was pretty good, I’m sure I’d seen an adaption once on tv but I completely forgot it which is good for these things cause I tried to puzzle out who did it (I was wrong, though understandably so, but who did do it made sense).it has been so long since I’ve seen any play or anything and it has made me wanna see more.
The trail back was mostly ok though as soon as we were half way home mum realised she didn’t have her bag and it seems it was left on the train. We did back track in case she dropped it but no. I have sent a lost property thing so we’ll see if it turns up. Hopefully it will.
This morning I had hoped to do uni stuff but I was far too drained. My focus for it has been trash which feels like the whole thing for this course, but hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Today though I’m just gonna rest, maybe build Lego and try and finish fortnite before the season ends. And watch that new Marlowe Murder Club thing on tonight cause it looks like it’ll be really good.
