(no subject)

So after about three months, yesterday me and mum went to Birmingham at last.

We’d planned to go for months, we usually do a trip over summer, but between mum’s leg and then the fridge freezer fucking up meant we couldn’t until now.

I hadn’t gone with too much in mind, mostly because I didn’t want to be disappointed and wanting to be realistic, so I went with three things in mind that I knew I could do.

1: Go in Whittard’s and try their hazelnut hot chocolate
(Which we did, but it wasn’t as nice as I hoped and was a bit… bitter)

2: Get the Sonic Halloween special comic
(Which I got, from forbidden planet!)

3: Get the Bulbasaur hoodie from H and M
(Which I saw but didn’t get because all that had were small and extra small which was a shame)

I’d also hoped to get something from the Forbidden Planet graphic novel sale, but wasn’t optimistic because it had been going on for at least a month. However there was still 4 Star Wars ones there, so I got them, and they had the Killjoys National Anthem hard copy which had sold out online in a day when it started. (Plus I got another comic and a DMC graphic novel too.) Of course the problem with getting a hard cover, especially cause it was big, is that it was heavy and now I’m really feeling it in my arms today.

I also got a night sushi cat plushie, which I’d seen when I first saw Lovejoy, but it was never in any other time I’ve checked. I’m so glad because it’s so cute and soft and cuddly! And has Bulbasaur vibes.

I got some Halloween things too, origami bats to make up and some pumpkin salt and pepper shakers which are so cute.

Other than that I saw Ahsoka figures which was a surprise. There was the HK droid, which looks pretty cool and I might have got if it wasn’t in the very first store I went in. There was also Morgan Elspeth who is a cool character but I suspect there’ll be a reissue of her that’ll be cooler. I’d hoped they’d have the stuff on display in the Lego store that they did when Iw ent for Lovejoy, but als they didn’t have some displays up which was odd and a bit of a shame.

It was also a bit odd weather wise. It kept trying to rain on and off, but it was also warm and could be overbearing inside which was so annoying.

We ended up having McDonald’s which was ok, though I wish they’d let me get the happy meal squishmallow like they did the Pokémon cards. I’ll have to get a happy meal for it when I watch five nights at Freddie’s (or maybe try ordering one, has anyone ordered McDonald’s online?)

Annoyingly on the return trip the train was standing room only, especially so as mum caught her foot (at the m and s stairs of all places) but she managed to get a seat for some of it.

Last night, despite the tiredness, my mind seems to have creative energy. So I started another kinktober fic and also have started a thing with my Dungeons And Dodongos character, which I may post later. It’s more kinda… thoughts but it’s interesting to do.

Today I’ve not done much. Uni started this week, but I purposely made sure I’d done most of the reading Monday and Tuesday so I only have a few pages to do. So this morning I just rested, did some more writing and did some icons.

Mum’s friend gave me some birthday money so I took it on the trip, but didn’t see anything specifically to use it on. However, the Jedi Survivor game has come down a lot so I just ordered it today. I was gonna get it from game, but Amazon put it up at the same price so that’s easier than hoping it comes in the local store. And yeah, I still haven’t finished Fallen Order and still have a lot of other things ot do, but mum said to use the money on a game so… (maybe I’ll start it before finishing fallen order, despite knowing it’d throw me)

Anyway! Now I’m gonna rest up, finish up lunch and then go through the comments on the last post and just… flop.

(As always I’m sure I’ve missed something I was gonna say but)
