Stitch my soul
Sep. 1st, 2023 06:03 pmSo yesterday and today have been ended up being pretty tiring.
So the other day mum’s friend called about the trip to town, and mum told me she said she’d be picking us up at 12:30.
So yesterday morning I wake up and planned to just do a few little things before heading down. I managed to do a lil bit then mum came up. I half expected that there’d been a call (that I’d missed hearing) that Joy would be able to take us sooner. Nope.
Instead she was panicking because the fridge/freezer was acting up and that we need to get a new one sorted. I tried to tell her that we could have a look into it together and do measurements and such, but now was not the best time in case Joy did call. Instead she insisted that I look into it and headed down, saying she’d be hoovering.
Sighing, I dropped what I was and looked, using the one she put in the amazon basket as a baseline but… I’ve got no idea what any of the stuff meant. I found two more and told her we could compare them proper then headed up to avoid the hoovering (which makes my brain rattle in a bad way).
Soon after she yelled up again saying it was time to go… at 11:30. Turns out she’d told me the wrong time so all of a sudden it was a chaotic rush.
We went to town and it was ok. I got two black series figures from game for just over £10 for both (which when they’re usually £20 each is a real bargain). I was also pleased by the amount of Halloween stuff there was around already. I didn’t expect there to be any, but The Works, Poundland and Home Bargains all had some. I got a cute lil pumpkin mug (I might use it for a lil plant) and a pumpkin thing to paint. I posted pics of the Halloween displays on insta.
As there’s nothing in down that does fridges Joy took us to a place to look at them on the way back. I dunno how helpful it was, but at least it confirmed something mum had read (that the energy rating system has changed and gone from east to understand to absolutely baffling).
When we got back we walked Naryu and that’s when mum told me that she was running low on her dry food, which was so annoying because it’s heavy and we went passed the place on the way back (and Joy wouldn’t have minded taking us but mum didn’t think of it) so stupidly I said I’d go today because she insisted it was almost gone.
The rest of the day went ok though my energy felt off (cause mum decided to fill the home bargains basket with heavy things). There was the direct for the Mario game which I managed to see and it looks so fun! I made me settle on it as being my birthday game…. Unless Balders Gate 3’s xbox version comes out then.
Today I woke up and instantly regretted saying I’d go out, but the weather app said it would be the best day for it. As soon as I came down mum said the fridge went worse, with some milk curdling and had to be thrown out (as well as something else).
I asked if she’d rather I stay for us to look into and sort the fridge thing but no, she insisted I go. Which I reluctantly did.
I got a few bits down there (mostly a few reduced things and some of the new Lego marvel blind boxes) and, thankfully they also had Naryu’s food down there. Of course carrying it back exhausted me and I was so bleh, but at least it didn’t rain (though it was certainly trying!).
(Sainsburys fails cause it has no Halloween stuff yet but TK Maxx had a massive display!)
Before I went I’d told mum we could look into the fridge thing after I’d eaten, but I think she looked at stuff while I was gone and got confused over it more. It’s all so stressful and confusing and…. I dunno. (I don’t suppose anyone knows anything about them or has a make they could recommend?
I did manage to get the restock of the magazine with James Marriott that went live today, then I tried (and failed) to have a lil doze. At least I’m aching less now though.
I’m gonna try and write some more in a lil bit after watching Voyager, then watch the new Sorry vid and Foolish’s vod from last night cause he played a horror game and I wanna see👀
Then tomorrow I’m sure we’ll end up looking into the fridge thing properly which’ll no doubt be frustrating and confusing!
