shadowhive: (Wilbur CMWYL)
This is a little early (although it’s gotta be Saturday somewhere already at this point right?) cause tomorrow will be full of nonsense. And also this video came out today

So the new Lovejoy song came out at midnight (which is this one, Call Me What You Like) and I’ll be honest I kinda wasn’t expecting much. My apathy with them (through no fault of their own) had made my interest diminish to such an extent that the only thing that had renewed my excitement for the gig was James Marriott being added as a support.

And then this song dropped.

To say it renewed my excitement for their side of their gig is probably an understatement. I feel that this is the best song they’ve released (I’ve listened to it over ten times now). I can’t exactly place why I like it so much though, it just… is. I’m sure there’s probably some technical musical reason but I dunno the terms so I’m not gonna even try.

I was also excited for the video, since they did it when they were in America and both Quackity and Eret had let slip they were in it so I was interested to see how much they were in it. Alas they’re not in it much, just in the background really (which is a bit of a shame, but it’s awesome they’re in it and I need to try and get a good cap of Eret, or find one) Wilbur’s the main focus of the video and he looks pretty.

The video is one of those ones that’s a bit random and you’d probably not have got ‘this song is a plane song’ from the lyrics so I’m wondering what the thought process is there. And what’s the deal with the mannequins? And why is the plane crashing? And why is Wilbur so pretty? And why does he think ‘I know you’re gonna kill me’?

There’s so many questions.

I’m manifesting that the next single has a video in Brighton with Tommy, Ranboo and/or James (ideally all of them).
